Isn't the button for hunting above the food meter? Sorry if you are talking about something else - I am still really confused (and I have read the faq lol) by the plot.

It seems that the hunting obstacle is there all the time for collecting food to keep the energy bar up, but if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will post

Does playing the hunting game only count towards one of the five activity points each day?

Yeah, hunting is how you keep our food supply up (but it looks like the "inspect element" on the meter only goes up to 100% now instead of higher). A notice shows up underneath the purple bar at the top of the site when there's an obstacle, it says something like "go to the trail and see how you can help" with a link back to the trail page.

Yeah, it only counts once for an activity but it keeps our food supply going so it's helpful to keep doing it here and there

Yes, hunting counts as 1 towards your 5 a day no matter how many times you play, but playing regularly will keep up the energy bar up for the whole team, so I'm playing once every 5 minutes or so in between doing my usual stuff

If you look at the bar at the top of the page, apparently that will show you when there is a new obstacle to deal with. Clicking on the bar will also take you to the main event page.

Yes, the button has disappeared sometime last night. It seems they removed it since it just refreshes the page anyway.

I did see it was supposed to auto refresh on it's own. I had thought we could get ahead by clicking it more/faster than the other team though. I was probably wrong and they wanted to ease up on server load :D

I'll keep the page open now, since I know it's not just me. (I've had button issues before due to my browser).

Since there's about 30 more pages to read than there were last night, is there still a thing to give map pieces? I swear that came up with food, but don't see anything.

Has there been any obstacles in the past few hours? I have been on and off for about seven hours, trying to check back at the On the Trail page every 20-15 minutes or more often and I haven't seen anything but the green "Your team is making way toward your next destination! " text whole time. Also the progres bar hasn't moved either from what I can see. Has there been any changes after the down time?

If I have missed events because I haven't been in front of my computer the whole time then that's my own fault and I have no problem, but if there really hasn't been anything after the down time then maybe I just give up for now and come back later when things are hopefully fixed.

No, I don't think there has been anything. I've been on for around 3 hours and there's been nothing while I've been here, so I don't think you've missed anything :)

Thanks for confirming what I suspected. Though I actually think it's worse this way than if I had actually missed them for not being on at the right time. This means that no one has made any progress at all. :O

I've been on for about 5 hours at this point, refreshing the page REALLY frequently (more frequently than 15-20 minute intervals as you mentioned), and literally haven't seen anything.

^potentially, the events might come in spurts and focused around prime times (just a guess though)

I was first refreshing more often when I made quests and other stuff, but after then down time when I had almost everything done I started checking the page less frequently. But yes, I don't think anything has happened for the last 5 hours after the down time. I guess it will take few more hours before anything happens so I'll do something else for a while.

I understand if they come more often during the prime time, but nothing for the majority of European day seems like something is not working right. Day is starting to turn into evening for me and there has been nothing since morning. There has been over 500 users online the whole time I have been here so it's not like there wouldn't be enough users to complete the task. I think something broke during the down time.

While that may be the case, that means it's basically unfair for anyone who doesn't have Subeta's timezone or isn't available during the time that Subeta considers "day" or "peak time." Some people have jobs and can't play Subeta all day long for instance, waiting for an event to pop and hope they get credit in the 1-3 minutes it's available. :C I really hope they make a fix for this by either upscaling the events in some capacity, or increasing the amount of events available for participation credit because it thus far seems really difficult to be able to get any in. (As it stands right now, it seems like the post-camp events are going to be the solution, which effectively means a good portion of the userbase won't be able to participate in the trail-related events / side of things unless there is some kind of change to it.)

Yes, unfortunately that does look like it's the case. Hope you manage to get credit sometime today though!

So apparently obstacles not showing is actually an unintended bug. That's really good to know! I guess we just need to wait for them to fix these issues before we can really do anything.
