That's true, and I guess it is because they are the most developed. I think they've been trying to give us more info about them all though, they have the list of the NPC shopkeepers and stuff in the Subetapedia now.

That was me. xD Honestly, that's what I'm thinking, but it doesn't hurt to double check! I looked up a bunch of different NPC names before I came across Esther, and Elwood wasn't one of them, so I don't know how long Elwood's link hasn't been an error. If I don't find any more NPCs, there's a very good chance no more will show up until tomorrow. (And who knows, maybe Elwood is the last?)

Perhaps less "pulling my weight" and more "contributing as much as I possibly can". (:

Alright, I think I'm going to take a little break for now. I'll probably be back around 6 when it's time to get going again.

Yea, you're right. There's been a lot of focus in recent years on fleshing out the characters and lands of Subeta, really creating the world and canon, whereas before it was more focus on gameplay.

Ah yes, I can see it now!

Elwood leaned carefully around the edge of the tree. His eyes skimmed over the trees and foliage as he waited for that first twitch of movement. He did not have to wait long. It took only a few more moments, and then the bushes began to tremble. Then they had appeared; Team Steele and Team Gold.

Both teams looked a little worse for wear, their skin shining with sweat, though determination glittered within their eyes. Team Steele members wore a minimal amount of clothing. Team Gold was wearing what looked like a fresh set of gear. He supposed it was a good enough trade off; one team was cooler, while the other was better protected from the elements. Elwood watched as a member of Team Steele smacked the shoulder of one of his female teammates. "Did you get it?" She asked, though she hadn't glanced back at the man. Rather, her eyes were locked on the chasm before them, the insect forgotten.

Elwood snickered as faces dropped, all eyes locking on the bridge that he had just finished taking out. "Well team, you know what to do!" Blake announced. Teem Steele got to work immediately, scattering into the forest in search of materials that could be used to make a somewhat stable path over the ravine. They were like ants, all of them scampering around, some of them trying to help one another carry logs twice their size.

On the other hand, Sagittarius had climbed onto the top of his team's caravan and had begun barking out orders. Team gold moved off into the brush, looking for materials of their own. It was only a matter of time before a small group of team gold members scooped up a struggling Saggi and tossed him into the  chasm, shouting, "I'm docking your pay for this!" His purple coat fluttered in the wind as he fell. At least it wasn't far. Still, the rich man did not look pleased as he stood, water dripping from his expensive clothing. His hair was plastered to his face on one side where the water had splashed up onto him. Sagittarius grumbled as he climbed up the rope that was lowered down to him. At least he was beginning to get used to this.

"Now!" Elwood heard Blake shout. He glanced over to see that a group of Team Steele members had lifted up Blake. They sprinted towards the edge of the ravine and propelled him forwards, towards the opposite end of the chasm. He cheered as he flew through the air. It was obvious that he wasn't going to make it, but it appeared he couldn't have cared less. 

Blake stuck the landing, spinning on his toes to face his team. "Right! Keep throwing things in!" He called to them. He began to arrange the logs and stones that had already been tossed into the chasm in an attempt to make the arrangement more stable. He climbed up the rock wall out of the ravine, only to be thrown in minutes later. Whether it was to work on the stability of the structure or for the joy of being thrown through the air, Elwood wasn't sure.

With both teams making excellent progress, Elwood decided it was time to move on. He slipped silently away from his tree, darting behind a bush, and then to another tree. He knew there had to be more manchus up here, and he was certain they would be hungry...

I couldn't help it, I've been in a writing mood! I know this isn't great, but I've been inspired ever since I saw the scene someone wrote after the Sephora competition, which was brilliant by the way! I wish I knew who it was so that I could tell them directly!

Quests finished! Time to rest for awhile, maybe do some cleaning around the house.

To be honest, autotraining is the best way to train, especially if your pet's less than, like, level 5-6. Everyone seems to swear by Battle Quests but when your pet is weak that's kind of difficult for not much payout. If your pet is level 5-6 or above, I'd definitely recommend battle quests as often and as far as you can, that EXP stacks up faster than training does. Also, a good weapon set helps! The battle forum has some good advice on what weapons work best for what level, and sometimes they're even affordable. I'm sorry I'm not much more help, my standard battle strategy is to "take the biggest weapons I can find and smash until I can't smash anymore".

Also, if you can, read a lot to your pet to get Intelligence up. I'm woefully behind on intelligence and so I can't use many of the really nice scrolls like Cobalt Eternal, etc, which can definitely help boost your pet's effectiveness.

i'm still bitter about accidentally leaving my Discman at a hotel once. That was so high tech back then! I still use my first gen iPod, though, that I got back in 2005. The thing is still going strong and is a complete workhorse. They don't make them like that anymore. ;A;

You know, it's so funny, I love birds to look at and as concepts and in flight and to hear about, but when I held my mom's...budgie? the yellow gray ones? I was shocked by how much I didn't like the feel of his warm scaly feet. And I'm a birdwatcher! How can I not like birds! It might have been that he also thought my mole was a seed or a bug and bit at it, which hurt like heck. I'm glad you like birds and can give them such nice homes, though!

Oh man I remember that. We had to carefully weigh exactly how dire the situation was before we could call my dad on his car phone, because the fees were astronomical. Ha, how funny! I wouldn't say no to my company offering to pay all associated fees, either. I'd gladly drill holes in my car for that.

Aaaah I'm so delighted we did so well on questing, you guys! Best team ever! I love how active and awesome we are, this really is the best team.

Anyone need any help or incentive to finish up the last of their quests for today?

Don't want to worry anyone, but the gap seems to be steadily decreasing by about 200 with each update of the numbers. Watched it go from a nearly 27k lead to a 26k lead and now we're at 25.7k. I know our lead looks good, and we've only got about 45 minutes left, but we haven't won yet.
