That's what I thought it was! But it's still pretty confusing to me. So far highest I've made it is 233. Fun puzzle! I hope this game sticks around long after the event!

I have looked this game up on Google and find it entirely incomprehensible. All the explanations are on 'how to win'. These are meaningless, because the game is incomprehensible. Honestly, what is going on?

I am not intuitive at all so all those graphical ha ha ha isn't this so easy videos I have found are all ??? to me.

Is there a guide for complete idiots out there somewhere, please?

I'm not the best person to ask about this. I love this game and played it obsessively for a while haha

I play 2048 all the time. If it helps, my strategy is to keep the highest tile in a corner and try to add to the one right next to it. This way, the tiles get in some sort of row ordered from highest to lowest. For example, I play with the highest one in the right bottom spot, so I never use the upper key, and just move right, left, and down to go adding tiles. Haha I am not sure if this makes sense.

Basically you are just combining blocks trying to make higher numbers. The lowest number is two, and the highest is 2048. You combine two of the same block and it doubles the number. So two blocks make a block, two blocks make a block, etc. The goal is to keep combining blocks until you create a 2048 block. Although in this case, a 512 block is all that is needed to move on with the plot step.

The Subeta version is a bit more confusing, because they are using symbols instead of written numbers. But the number of objects in the symbol represents the number of the block.

Also yes, a good strategy is to keep higher number blocks close to the bottom and move lower number blocks closer to the top so you can drop them down and combine with the other high blocks on the bottom.

I think you can skip the puzzle and not get the plot points, but you can still move on.

what do the arrow keys do? Do I need to click a particular tile to get it to go left right up or down?

Just logged back on and see the puzzle but have NO clue what to do. How do you get them to move? I keep clicking but nothing happens.

The arrow keys move the tiles around. Click one arrow, and all of the tiles on the screen will move in that direction (if they are not already against a wall).

Thanks for confirming the game will be permanent, I haven't played a good 2048 in a long time but I was able to hit the 512 before it ended.

OK so I am seeing a fail in my literal brain, because an arrow key does not do what you said.

Do the arrow keys do not move the tiles around at all, what they do is tilt the board so that tiles run against each other or into each other? All tiles are subject to the same arrow direction all at the same time?

I don't even know how to do this puzzle, driving me crazy.

That's a good way of looking at it, yes! and then when two of the same tile run into eachother, they turn into a new tile. 2+2 becomes 4, 4+4 becomes 8, etc. And then every time you move, another "2" tile is added to the board
