Done with the handle of the pickaxe. Now to let it dry before doing the blade-part (even though I could leave it plain)

Thought it would long have started when I'd wake up, but I'm kinda glad it didn't. Give us a day with nothing to do for a change, so we can all actually rest for a while? Yes please.

- yes, Esther really helped us there (as did our food boosts from Blake and Wesley when we narrowly avoided running out of food when the food stealers hit us). I just meant that we're meant to spend 24 hours on the trail and then 24 hours in camp, but we got to camp several hours early, so they might be planning to also start us off early. I'm sure there will be some sort of news when Elwood is ready for his big announcement.

Maybe 24 hours after the other team made it to camp? That way it evens it out- if it was 24 hours from when we made it, I think Gold would be permanently in second place?

- I think they actually reached camp pretty quickly after we did. Once it's not a race anymore, I think the software sort of removes obstacles and somehow speeds the loser to camp so everyone can move on to the next phase. And we always start each new leg of the trail even, no matter who won the previous leg.

Time for some thrilling heroics!

I'm thinking that we won't be doing a normal leg tonight. Kkbob loosely mentioned it the other day, and then it was alluded to on the weather feedback thread.

Something about how we're run out of trail officially. I certainly hope we're switching things up. It's getting way too repetitive.

I got a gift like that too! It's nice to see members of both teams getting along. I know some of our members yesterday were sending gifts to them and being encouraging even though they got crap weather all the time.

Yeah that and combined with Saggi not really wanting to be here anymore, since he did his job and got his money, makes me think the last bit will be just working together to get to the top of the mountain.

Also we still have Elwood's surprise that is going to be for both teams.

Am I the only one who thinks Elwood's "perk" was letting us have a night off? That it was just going to be a party by the bonfire? I mean, he could have something hidden up those glorious sleeves, but the character has never really done much. :P

I don't know, I think something else might be coming. There was a "recruit Elwood" button in the news on the sidebar before staff removed it.

But I really do think we will be merging teams or something. Because there is a thread on the feedback forum about all the bad weather that Gold got, and 's response was that it won't matter for this next leg. So that seems pretty convincing that the last bit will be different.

Yeah, I think we're going to the top of the mountain, I just don't know exactly what we'll be doing. But I think we will work together this time, I hope I'm right at least.
