Glancing over Team Gold's public thread, it looks as though if your energy drops to zero you are forced to take a half hour rest. It's a big reason why they're so far behind - that and wind. So yeah, anything we can do to keep our food and energy up, we should do.

I wonder if it's just getting windier the higher we go up the mountain. Esther's proving to be worth her weight in Mahar jewels.

I did get a response from staff, and my sP and I are together again <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 I was just trying to figure out if I should search back and ping the people who were around yesterday for that, or if that's too much and I should just generally post and answer anyone who checks back and asks me (I'm clearly real bad at being a person)

It's clear Esther is the best NPC so far. Only way Elwood can beat her is if he brings us some pizza. ;) Pizza always wins.

Is it just me or does it seem like most of our recent obstacles have been scarab swarms this leg of the journey? Almost every time I've logged on to see an obstacle it's been a scarab swarm.

My guess is that Elwood's benefit is that he gives your team fewer obstacles/more time between obstacles? Since he's so used to pranks and practical jokes, etc he could probably sneak us around some of those ravines and vine tangles, etc.
