Ohmigosh I just found the Ghoul Piper mod. She looks awesome! :D

Someone told me there's a mod for PS4 to make Hancock look human. And I think I just stumbled across that one too. Uh... NO. Haha. I'm up for turning people into Ghouls (I really want to try the mod for player characters at some point, so I can turn Natalia into one >w<), but Ghouls into humans? Noooo no no no! xD

Extra objects would be cool. What I really want is a mod that lets you scrap more stuff. That's something I'll be looking out for when I start playing with mods.

I've started playing Fallout again since mods were released. I've finished the storyline with my first character and have finished most of the dlcs. I always travel with Dogmeat or Deacon. There is one mod I downloaded that improves Dogmeat's stats and his attack power.

I found a mod last night that turns Hancock into a human pirate, is that the same one you found? I believe there are a few scrap everything mods available, but I haven't tried any of them out.

Probably. I forget the exact name of it now, but the description described him as a pirate.

I've found a few mods on PS4 that help clean things up. Looks promising. There's so much debris that CAN'T be scrapped in the unmodded game, and it makes building a pain. D: I hate having to adjust great building plans to get around bushes and crap.

I added that mod to my favorites last night to look into it later. It will probably end up being one of those 'what the heck, why not' mods that I try out.

Building in the vanilla game is frustrating. Some locations I end up walking around in circles until I can find somewhere flat or even enough to build on. Or walking forwards, backwards or side to side until a piece snaps in to place with the piece next to it. The building limit is annoying as well. In my first game, I got very close to maxing out what I could build in my vault.

I might check out a few of the companion mods, but I'll never touch a mod that messes with Hancock! ;o; Although I would like one that fixes a couple of issues with him potentially getting killed...

My plans for Natalia changed a lot since I first created her, and in my first playthrough with her she eventually sided with the Railroad. Until Hancock somehow ended up vulnerable during one of the late Railroad quests, and nothing I did could save him. I couldn't even reload far enough back to change my path and keep him safe. T_T Restarted and lost several hours of progress over that one.

GAAAAH! Trying to get pieces to snap together sometimes... And I'm fussy about floorboards lining up and stuff as well. Those wooden shack floors with the legs are the WORST, I swear! X_X Ohmigosh I nudge things around so much trying to get everything to sit right. xD

You can get around the building limits, even on console and without mods. When you scrap stuff, it comes off your building limit. It's not easy to see, but it does. Instead of storing your junk or scrapping weapons and armour at the workbenches, drop 'em on the floor. Turn it into scrap in build mode. Tedious, if you have a lot, but it lets you build more. :D Just don't overdo it. The limit is there for a reason, and if you build TOO much it can cause the area to lag. It's great if you need just a bit more room to add stuff though!

I know I downloaded a mod on Skyrim that made companions essential but I can't remember if I've downloaded a mod like that for Fallout. It's not in my library of mods, but it could be in my husband's mod library. I mainly go for mods that will make the playing experience better or add things to the game. I downloaded on mod that adds more explorable buildings to the game because I tend to try and find and explore every location. I also grabbed a mod called Spouse's Embrace that lets you create a ring that increases carry weight +500 and boosts other stats. I've only got 10 mods downloaded right now, but I have a lot in my favorites that I haven't decided if I'm going to try them out yet.

I'm not sure who my newest character, Claire, will side with. I sided with the Railroad during my first playthrough, might go with the Minutemen with this one.

I always hated when I would try to move one item and I end up moving the floor or wall that was next it. Then I couldn't put it back because of the items that were on it. And supplying power to certain areas of a building is frustrating as well. I think I spent a good hour laying and relaying conduit in my vault.

My husband told me about the building limit workaround because he ran into the same issue. But by then I was running out of ideas/tired of builiding rooms in my vault and tired of the game crashing after putting clothes on a mannequin.

i play on ps4 and there is a mod i use, and it's called scrap that settlement. you can scrap the majority of stuff with it. definitely check it out. and there is a huge collection of mods, called 'unlock settlement objects' those have so much extra stuff.

I saw a mod that makes Dogmeat huge. Obviously, it's just for fun but it amused me so much. The snapping issue drives me nuts. sony is such a jerk that a lot of that can't be fixed. ugh.

Usually, companions in Fallout 4 are essential. Doesn't need modding in. They just go into a "down state" if they lose too much health, and can't help you fight until healed.

At least one companion has to be killed for a faction quest, if you follow that path, and loses their essential status when the time comes (or is supposed too. I've heard it can be buggy). Aside from that and glitches, I don't think any of them can be killed normally.

Wow that ring sounds OP! I sure could use that extra carry weight. xD Buuut I don't like adding OP stuff like that. Takes the fun out for me. More buildings to explore sounds good though! I'll have to keep an eye out for some of those.

Ahhh I've done then a lot. Usually with planters. ^^; I want to move this carrot... Aaaand I've picked up the whole damn planter. You can just press the cancel button to put it back where it was though. Doesn't matter if there is other stuff attached. It'll all go right back where it was.

Deliberately trying to move a group of items together is really painful though. Sometimes after I've put some foundation down for a new building, I'm not happy with its position. Just wanna move it over a little, so I try picking everything up together. And the damn thing tries to snap to something else at some weird and useless angle and won't go where I want it to GAAAAAH! D<

I'll definitely give that scrapping one a look! :D

I saw one for unlocking objects, but it looks like it doesn't actually ADD anything new (and I'm sure it couldn't anyway, since Sony wouldn't allow external assets for mods on PS4). There are quite a few settlement objects that aren't available to use right from the start. I think all that mod does is make EVERYTHING available without having to unlock it in the game. So objects like the plants that come from one of the "Picket Fences" perk magazines? You would have those from the start, without ever finding the mag.

I saw that mod too, as well as a mod that makes Dogmeat a puppy. I also saw a mod that makes your character a giant, an another one that makes you as small as an ant. I just reached Vault 88 last night with my new character, so I've run into the annoying snapping issue while building rooms in there.

At least we have mods available for the PS4. For awhile it seemed like weren't going to get them at all. My husband has Skyrim on PC and I've got it on PS4, he has access to so many neat mods that Sony won't even allow.

I must've been thinking about the mod for Skyrim (downloaded it after Lydia was killed by a snow troll).

The ring is very OP, it has three tiers that you can build, each one better than the previous ring. I've only got the first ring so far, but its boosted my carry weight up to 800+. It doesn't work when you are in Power Armor though. This is the only ring mod with stat boosters that I've downloaded, I won't download any others, because then the game would just lose its fun factor for me.

I think I ran into an issue in the past where the game wouldn't let me cancel moving the object and I had to move it somewhere else.

I've just started developing Vault 88, so I'll be annoyed by the building system for a bit. I'll build a few rooms and then discover they need to move to line up with the floor. I always have walls snap in the wrong direction in relation to the wall next to it, at least in the vault.

well it doesn't add anything new because of sony's stupid rules, but it takes objects that are in the game, that you can't build, and adds them to the workshop so they become buildable.

oh i saw the huge/tiny player ones too. i feel like the tiny one would be a pain. like you wouldn't be able to get anywhere. but again, i guess it's just for fun, just like the dogmeat ones.

Yeah, i am grateful that we even get mods but it sucks with sony's rules. it seems really stupid on their end to me as well. because i think their rules will make people want to switch to xbox and pc and then they just lose money. :/

Ah yeah, maybe that was it. I keep forgetting followers in Skyrim can be killed. But my guy married Lydia, so now she's essential. c:

Oh man that carry weight sounds tempting... But I spoil things enough for myself by using the pocketed mods (the in-game mods you can make at workbenches, I mean. Not downloaded stuff) on my armour. xD I'm trying not to rely on that so much, so I really should keep away from mods like that! xD

That sounds really annoying. D: I don't think I've run into that issue, and I pick up and replace stuff that way a lot.

I haven't messed with Vault 88 yet. Sounds like that's going to drive me mad. I'm too much of a perfectionist when it comes to settlement building. ;o;

Ooh that makes sense. I've heard there is quite a lot of stuff in the game files that isn't used. Cool that someone modded it to be usable. :D

It really sucks about mods on PS4. One of my must-haves for Oblivion was unofficial bug fixes, and I was looking forward to having the same for Skyrim and Fallout 4 on PS4. But it turns out the Skyrim one needs the kind of stuff Sony won't allow, and the mod creators won't create a "lite" version for PS4. I'm guessing the same problem would exist for Fallout 4. :( I sure won't be supporting Sony for the next gen, if they don't change their stance on mods.

I think both the tiny and big player mods would be a bit annoying as you would either be too big to fit inside any building, or too small to see anything. But I suppose there are people who have playing through the game a bunch of times, who just want to mess around. There are even a few mods that change Dogmeat's name, but I don't think I could really consider changing his name. Every time I play Fallout, I always check the mods first to see if there's anyhing new, but lately I haven't really found anything new.

Yeah, I forgot that followers in Skyrim can be killed too when I started playing the Ultimate Edition. I was making my way up to see the Greybeards and found the snow troll. Lydia rushed up to it, then next thing I know, she's on the ground dead. I reloaded the game and tried to sneak past, but she ran after the snow troll again.

The main reason I grabbed that mod was because of the increased carry weight, but also the fact that it gives you something to do with the wedding rings. I usually use the pocketed mods, but then I typically switch to whatever gives me the most armor.

Vault 88 isn't too bad. There is a ton of stuff to scrap when you get there and get the workshop functional in all areas. At first, I didn't really have much of a plan on what to build when I first got there, but then after seeing how my husband built his vault, I started moving and changing things around. I don't know exactly how I'll set up the layout in my latest play-through. My last game I built specfic rooms and labeled all rooms. I had sleeping quarters, an overseer office, cafeteria, garden, hospital, trading post/pool hall, security office, workout room, and a huge room for all my weapons, armor and power armor. I labeled all the rooms with the neon light letters, which meant spending hours running conduit to power them all.

I will probably never switch to Xbox. There's only one game series available that I'm even remotely interested in trying (Fable), but the controller threw me off. My husband had an Xbox, but traded it for a PS3 shortly after we started dating. My hubby's computer is built to handle gaming, but we only have Skyrim for both PC and PS4, so I get to compare mods that are available on both systems. I'd be really interested in know what mods are available for Fallout on PC. One thing I noticed with a lot of the mods on the PS4 is that the creators don't own a PS4 to test the mod on. I had pre-ordered Skyrim Ultimate Edition and then heard that Sony was considering not allowing mods for the game. If they had stuck with the decision, I would have been disappointed but I still would have enjoying having Skyrim on PS4.

yeah, now that i think of it, it makes me kind of iffy regarding a playstation 5. but then i've always been kind of 'eh' towards xbox. i guess if i want it that bad i will have to switch to PC.

Yeah, i check them too. These days most of what i see are just updates for the mods i've already downloaded.

I don't really see the point in changing Dogmeat's name. I guess maybe if you had a dog that looked just like him or something, then maybe I would. But otherwise it seems like a waste of time.

I've found some newer mods that interested me. One adds more explorable buildings all over the map and for some of the DLC too. There were three of them (the mod name starts with Beantown, I think). I haven't had any mods update for about a week. I had one mod that adds a workbench in Diamond City, update every day for about a week or more, then no more updates.

I had no interest in the 3 mods that change Dogmeats name. I looked at them to see why they were made, and they were each created for someone who requested it. I'm more interested in mods that will give me more things to explore or make the companions useful.

I don't know if I've found any of the new locations that it adds, because I have one other mod that adds more explorable buildings (but I can't remember if it only added them to one town). I may have found one or two of them that the Beantown mod adds, but I think in the description for the mod it says that it adds 50+ locations. I haven't explored the Commonwealth in my second play-through as much as I did in my first.

I noticed there is a series of mods that recolor the landscape to mirror the seasons, but you can only have one mod activated at a time. I added the four mods the my favorites list (which has become my list of mods to look at later).

I haven't played Fallout for about a week, I've been busy playing Skyrim because I needed a bit of a break from Fallout. And I wanted to see what mods updated and if there were any new mods for the game.

I'd like to try the mods that recolor the landscape for seasons, but I think I would be changing it quite a bit if I got tired of one of the recolors. I wish there was a mod that had all four of those recolors together, and as you play the seasons in the Commonwealth change over time.

I might try to play Fallout for a bit this weekend and see if any new mods were released. I've been on a bit of a Skyrim kick for the past few weeks.
