i copied the wait responses from the news comments instead of clicking any buttons, so i didn't see that one. that's honestly pretty gross? i missed the last plot with him, so i have no experience with blake's character outside of crypts flavor text and what's been put up for this plot and tbh, he does not seem. great. (neither of them do, really; i kind of want a third team of islanders preventing excavation just so i don't have to choose one of these jokers, hah)

Prompted by @ hiallina 's post, I've been refreshing on the wait pages for a bit to see what other things they say.

So far, Blake says these lines: "Hell yeah, friend- Is he giving out stuff? Bring me back some swag!" "Oh sure, I bet you’re one of those fussy people that want want to be paid “on time” and “in full”." (the italics are literally how it's displayed, I did not accent it) "No prob, buddy! See you soon."

And Saggi says one of these: "Hah, you’ll be back." "Ah yes, have fun. I believe they pay in fast food vouchers." "Surely you’re joking?"

... I'm a little surprised that the billionaire seems like less of a douche than the guy who's (supposedly) just in it for the adventure. :|

I participated in that old plot, but can't remember anything aside from solving puzzles and collecting a couple hundreds shovels.

Thanks for the trouble, . Ugg! Though less douchy, Blake's other response is not much better. Just stick with "No prob, buddy! See you soon.", just stick with that one. I totally expect Saggi to be an arrogant butt, but Blake? Come'on, is he not supposed to be a friendly hotheaded next door neighbor type of guy? I am afraid the Crypts fried his personality! XD facepalm

If they do add a third team, I hope its Matlal leading it. TEAM MATLAL.

In other news, I picked Blake. Mainly because Blake walks the walks. Saggi is just all talk. Blake ran the Saheric event and we all got a lotta shinies from that.

Like a lot of people I'm stumped on which team to choose right now. I like both Blake and Saggi, they both have their pros and cons about them. I hope we do get more information about everything so it will make my decision easier x.x;;

Oh thank god there's already a thread for this because I'm completely torn. I don't hold a particular fondness for either one of the options, so I don't really have anything to go off of here. Neither one of their flyers helps either, it's basically the same thing from both, just worded differently.

I would dump Blake to join Team Matlal in a minute. GOING NATIVE should be the achievement, clearly. ... Unless it already is one.

I would love to join Matlal since I never got to do the Islander/Pirate event. Matlal is hilarious from what little I've gotten to see of him.

At least at this point I'm down for Blake. He lead the last expedition and I don't necessarily need the sp so I'm looking forward to what challengers will arise under his, ah, guidance. Bonus points if the two teams or a third Islander team appear as enemies.

the Islanders weren't the Evil side. If the Pirates hadn't interfered then Merana wouldn't have been angered and nobody would have had to die. Typical imperialist colonial thieves those Pirates are, and because they were the victors they re-wrote history to make themselves seem good even though the problem was created and caused by their own greed and cultural insensitivity.

Neither Blake nor Dominic seem to have any respect for the land or the peoples of the Omen Islands. Join one side or the other they are both bad, all the while planning to use them for access so you can defect to the side of the endangered ecosystem and oppressed native peoples at the first opportunity.

I too have no clue which team to go for. I thought I did but nope. I'll probably just flip a coin.

I mean I would totally join Matlal's team in an instant as well. Matlal is great. Too bad we haven't seen what the Islanders are doing currently. Probably trying to get as much money as they can from us, really.

I know Blake's supposed to be socially awkward but I'm a little surprised, maybe even appalled, by his paying in full and on time comment. Yuck, reminds me too much of real life and I so don't need that.

I chose Saggi because I just don't know or trust Blake and Saggi's been good to me. Although, I might have a harder time trying to stay poor enough to get the achievements for Sarah's quest. x3

I wish the team dynamics and advantages for Saggi were more complex than just giving out more money. It feels a little...cheap, in a way.

I'm still probably going with Team Gold, because, even with more information, I just can't get over my dislike of Blake.

I would really like more information before I have to choose. I've never really cared for Blake (and like him even less now after that comment about getting paid) and I've always had a soft spot for Saggi, but Blake's bonuses kind of sound better. But then again, it's really not clear what we're going to be doing or what kind of advantage each option would give, so maybe they won't be. IDK, I feel like I'm walking into this blind and it's kind of stressing me out. I dislike participating in team-based competitions to begin with, though, so I'd probably still be stressed even if I had all the details. Just, maybe not as much as I am now. ^_^;
