Here is the forum for Team Gold

1. Play the food game to keep our supplies up. If we drop below 50% (the "food" word starts slipping left it seems) we lose energy and our progress halts.

2. As we progress up the mountain the team encounters obstacles we must all work together to complete ( ie playing a game or collecting an item). Once complete we wait until we hit another one. Only your 1st submission for events counts towards you x/5 points but it ones after that appear to help the team.

I'm honestly too frustrated even keep debating about this. If a plot "day" is five days long, then at least I'll be able to get food game credit five times (I guess). I have no idea what the actual time limit is, though. The instructions are insufficient, and the gameplay is badly thought-through. Major thumbs down from me at this point. (And I LOVE Oregon Trail.)

to get our points, we have to sit here and wait, i dunno about everyone else but im an adult, with a family, a husband who works away from home, 2 kids and a job myself....nice to know having responsibilities kills my ability to fully participate

I already hunted and now? what do I do, wait? I kinda lost in this event.

I am so lost I am have done 1-5 things and not sure what I need to do now so I keep playing food gamne. I so need help.

While we are waiting for something else to do aside from shooting pineapples and turkeys, may I suggest a clearer visual of the food supplies bar? For example, something like |_____/_| to let us know how much is 100% and the dreadful 50%? Currently it should be full but it is still a guessing game.

So does clicking the "Forward!" button do anything right now? Cause it's kinda misleading.

You just wait until the next obstacle comes up.

As for complaining about time constraints, not getting 100% full points =/= missing out on the plot. If your life is so busy that you won't be able to get full points since you're not able to sit and get all your points for the day in 10 minutes, maybe whining about a fun plot on a pet site isn't the best use of your time. Some points are better than none!

At this point, I think the Islanders can get knotted.

"If you’re looking out for yourself alone, you’ll need to complete 5 daily activities if you want that day’s share of plot points"

If you can't get any points for the plot, you're...not exactly being encouraged to participate in the plot.

Clearly a LOT of people are frustrated by this, and there's plenty of room for the site to still fix how the gameplay works. Unfortunately, they don't seem inclined to make adjustments where it actually counts.

It's basically just so you aren't sitting there refreshing a bunch; it still reloads the page but is better than just constant refreshing I guess?

Yes, there's always room for improvement. If you've noticed, we've pushed a few of those already (the bar at the top of the site, food not linking anymore and instead having it above, etc). :)
