Hoping this is the right thread? I really am trying to figure this out as I try to fight my adhd with this. I've never been one to really care but I've been putting a lot more time and work into one of my pets.

Outside of maybe getting background/some font sorted-is everything looking ok? any suggestions/recommendations? I doubt i'll get any art done as I actually love the site art for her but I've worked over the story-though have not had anyone read it, tried to get her more friends especially friends with similar tastes and got a little crazy with her treasures.

I feel like something is off and i'm hoping it's just background/front but i'm not good at that so until I get that sorted, I was curious if maybe there was something I am not seeing/maybe off that I am missing or if it seems ok so far.

You must be working on the background, because there isn't one. lol I love the story. But I was a proof reader for many years and a few things stood out. Just little stuff, mostly punctuation:

I hope this is an okay question to ask, but is it possible for a pet to win spotlight under new ownership? I think that winning pet spotlight is the ultimate win with pets because it feels like the bow on top to show that the pet is finished and awarded! I recently got a new pet from someone that I was going to turn into a pet dedicated to my master's research, but I didn't realize that they already won pet spotlight before! It kinda removed the wind from my sails in working on this pet. :/

unfortunately there isn't a way for pets to win Uber new ownership at this time, as far as I remember I'm gonna find the post from a UA brb

If I understand correctly, a good "story" is not enough; as I noted this "As long as the profile has some basic coding so that it’s not like the default basic profile" is there anywhere you would recommend that I look to find information on "basic coding" that will meet this standard and work on Subeta?

Also could I get more clarification on the idea that a pet's treasure would matter and how it would matter? Thanks!

You have probably already figured this out by now, but there is a forum specifically for profiles where a lot of people offer coding, either custom by commission, or free templates that can be editted (many have instructions for this).

That said, there seems to be a bit of a backlog of pets that are nominated and (presumably accepted, there is no notification of acceptance out of the nominee queue into the pending winners queue) where some have been waiting years after nomination to actually get randomly pulled to win.

for Lily I might change the "Information" to something related to Grandmas. The "Information" seems kinda of placeholder-y. I might also make the main text a little darker, it's kind of hard to see on the light grey. But other than that I really like it!!

I definitely think Emmah is totally ready for nomination!

Just got rejected for "credits", I didn't add myself so it rejected it (which is weird because a few pets that won didn't have credits at all.. so there is a lack of consistency when applying this rule..)

Is it ok now? should I add more credits? like "pet+minion art owned by Subeta"???

Is my pet re-ready for the spotight? I swear it's my first time dealing with it and the experience is so confusing..

What a wonderful name! It fits your pet beautifully. Congrats on your first pet for Spotlight! That was so long ago for me. lol I've won well over 130 of them. My goal when I first started in Subeta was to get 100. It took over twelve years but I achieved it. :)

I know credits have always been a priority in the rules. I was denied a couple times for forgetting something. I can't imagine any pet winning without any. You have to credit everything. And yes that definitely includes anything you did. For instance, if you edited Helix's template you should say so. You don't have to credit the artist working for Subeta who did the pet overlay unless it is custom and they did it. But I think it is nice to give the artist credit and makes you really conscious of the work that goes into things. I do have a question, tho. You said 'profile template and background' was by Helix. Did she really paint the background? If so, great. But otherwise you need to find out who did and give them credit. Good luck! <3

Oh now I remember, the background is from Adobe Stock, so should I just write the name of the artist with "(adobe stock)" after it?
