- whoa! Several comments -

1. It was not my intent to be anything other than helpful and supportive. If I was not, or did not come across that way, I apologize.
2. I don't recall any previous comments by myself that have been other than supportive. I certainly have never "called you out". (Please correct me if I am wrong - seriously, I don't want to create or inflame discord.)
3. I did not intend to call the judge "unfair", I was trying to say that I thought her comments were unfair (in regards to problem 5) since she was clearly being disrespectful to the players. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I feel that they should be expressed with respect.
4. The actual math is not an opinion. The math for puzzle 5 as given to us is incorrect as noted above.
5. Since so many people on different teams were clearly having problems with puzzle 5, the correct math was posted to be helpful. Anyone can make a mistake, and I thought it would be useful to both players and judge.
6. I can't and don't speak for all the Wayfarers. This is my first time participating in Wayward Squirrel, and, except for shylarah who is an old friend, I have never met any of them before starting this.
7. I personally don't care about filing a formal protest (I'll let the team decide that). I was not, and am not, concerned about our score. I am playing for fun. I do however, regardless of score like to understand a puzzle and how to get/find it's answer. For me, it's not enough to guess the right answer, I want to know how to solve the puzzle, so that I learn how to better go about solving the next puzzle. That's personal, not competitive. I just like to learn and grow for myself, not for a better score.

Once again - sending positive thoughts, goodwill and prayers to those with family in ICU and others in need.

You have not made any previous comments. If you have been reading the OOC threads, though, you will see that there have indeed been public comments made to make me appear as stupid as possible. You were not the author of any of these.

As to my judge's (and personal friend) comment, she was responding to the disrespect shown to me in the situation above, since it was publicly done. Friends tend to be protective that way.

The math for puzzle 5 unfortunately included an "outlier" for want of a better term. These will be avoided in the future.

My remark about Wayfarers was intended to provide some humor and lighten the situation. It's been tiring and unpleasant to be dragged out and criticized publicly for every little thing. I am an extroverted introvert, but definitely an introvert, and prefer private communications when there are difficulties. So, when in these situations, I will try to lighten the mood if possible.

Right now, my main attention and caring is for those who have difficult RL situations to handle, and also a concern to get the next chapter out for all of you. In times of stress, diversions such as WS are helpful to many.

We all have different perspectives. Personally, I'm grateful for the love and caring that made a friend say "enough." Hopefully, this will put an end to it.

I know we can't even begin to say this enough but we really do appreciate you holding this event (and the previous one though the name of that escapes me at the moment)

Managing not just the storyline, riddles, bonuses all in addition to large groups of people is a monstrous job, I was in a lovely group last year but trying to organize something with different people is frustrating and that group only had 5 people in it!

If any of my posts have come across as rude or something then I would like to apologize as that is never my intent (sulky though was!)

Sorry but I beg to differ! I've led the Fallen Angels for the past 4 WS events and they have all been wonderfully supportive, inventive and on the ball in these adventures. But I do know you have an awesome team as well... but I'm kinda partial to my Angels... Does it show???

Yes!! We do have the BEST team, hands down ;)

there is no denying you have a great team.. however, hands down is the best, nicest people, easiest to work with, most fun!.
