The hubs renigged on going to the zoo with me - I was hoping to catch a million pokestops and some rares, but gonna drag him to the local park with me instead. I'm almost out of pokeballs because there are no stops anywhere near my neighborhood! Gonna have to get the most out of work on Monday by taking the long-way around on campus.
There's a Rattata spot in my kitchen and a Spearow one in my bathroom, I'm fairly concerned. Good thing is I live near a lake so I caught a Staryu as well.
I haven't made time yet to go on a walk with my smartphone, but my niece will stay with me for two weeks soon and I think we're both going to have loads of fun with the app. 😂
There is a pokeStop right next to my house and Ive already caught a few Pokemon at my house and at walmart hahaha

pokemon avoid my house like the plague lol. i'm also really frustrated with the servers. every time i get a chance to go out, they go down. hopefully i'll have more luck this evening!
My friends and I downloaded the .apk on Friday. I had thought I'd be able to play only on Wifi (I have no data on my current plan) but I can't connect to GPS at all. :( I've been playing on my girlfriend's phone a little bit but I can't wait until I can get a new contract with data and GPS! There's tons of Pokestops, gyms, etc. around downtown. Just got home from hanging out at the park by the lake downtown catching Pokemon and visiting the stops. There were a bunch of people playing Go there and both Pokestops in the park (very small park, only takes a minute to walk from one side to the other) had attractors on them so we caught lots of things. :)
Miffed that I'm not strong enough to take on any of the gyms around me. Real life, stop getting in the way of my game time! :c
I had to twist my husbands arm (not really) to convince him to go to the park with me to see what we can catch. I need to hit as many pokestops as I can tho. Need them poke balls.
I work for the parks department so I have so many opportunities to hit up the pokestops and get pokemon. Although the pokemon have all been the same old, for the most part D: My most interesting out-of-the-norm pokemon is a Scyther that I just caught recently at my house of all places. Only CP 263. Some people have in the 1,000's near my area, like whaaaaat.
I went to my local mall a couple days ago expecting to hit a jackpot but NOPE the servers were down the whole time I was out and didn't boot back up until I got home lol. Oh well, maybe next time! I'm just hoping I'll get a Growlithe soon.
I'm also terrified to see what my data usage will look like this month omg.
I feel you, I was at the bowling alley out here for three hours and guess what decided to go down most of the time? Someone was able to connect enough to get a lure going, but I was still miffed XD

My data usage hasn't been too bad because I've been stayed connected to private networks at home and at my work to play. Been keeping an eye on it because I've limited myself to 1GB a month in general.
Someone here where I work has a level 700 Golduck at a gym for Team Mystic. I walked passed it and sorta goggled at it in horror.
The only gym near me (a fish and chip shop) has a 1500cp Lapras that has been reigning supreme for 3 days now. I think there is another four red pokemon in there as well.
I'm still getting over the fact that I found a Raichu but it escaped. The game glitched on me, thinking that I fed it a berry when I hadn't (and I don't have great balls yet) so it popped out of the pokeball and fled immediately. Ohhh that would've been my gem of the night.
My friend was able to catch it though. I'm happy for her at least!
I have a Zenfone 5 (intel processor) which means I can't play Pokémon Go. I've waited for this game for months, downloaded it as soon as I could... Just to see a black screen. I'm so sad about this, if I had the spare money I would probably buy a new phone for this but well. :'(
I am incredibly addicted thus far, but my experience has been tainted.
My phone is technically too old to support it. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3. We (my husband, little brother, and I) went ahead and downloaded the apk file from reddit that allows us to run it... but we do risk getting our devices banned. :( So, here's to hoping we avoid that. We just want to play, too! And then we had to buy a new battery for the phone, because it just drains like mad. Like, lost ~20% battery in less than 5 minutes. Had to go to four stores just to be able to get one, because since the Galaxies are already up to S7, no one carries crap for S3 now. And our app crashes/freezes all the time.
BUT OTHER THAN THAT I AM SO ADDICTED. :D :D :D
I told myself I would go to the massive park today to finish hatching some of the eggs I got and get some more pokeballs (I'm down to 14), but it's so cold outside!!
I'm not sure honestly, it would make me feel better though if they didn't XD I think my highest pokemon is 600cp but that was from evolving a high leveled pidgey.
Last night I saw in the scanner three park pokestops within reach of each other, all three lured. I wandered over and laughed to see about fifteen adults all staring at their phones, but after about half an hour we were all talking and laughing and chatting like best friends, yelling out when interesting 'mon spawned and all trooping over to the sandbox bit of the park to catch the Lickitongue, or trying to chase an Abra's nearby shadow.
Young kids, parents, older folks, it was fantastic, and it's apparently a nightly thing. I haven't felt that kind of auto-friendship with anyone in a really long time and fully intend to go back as often as I can.
I am soooooo shy.... but I am really looking forward to getting to meet people through this! I haven't had a chance yet to really wander the town due to all the issues I've had with mine lately. But when I can...! :D :D :D
