I understand how you feel about privates x: I get frustrated/disappointed at times when I found out this really pretty item end up being private ;__; I love the wig you're wearing btw, it's very cute!

That's a lovely wig. I saw the white one sold for 6-7k a few weeks ago x__x I'll never understand why some items can get up to almost 10x of the slot price.

Those fawn wisps are really popular and usually go for about that much I've come to find out :( Which is too bad because I have pretty much all of them on my WL, they're one of my favorite items 😞

This, this is exactly me whenever I fall in love with a cw - I find out it's private. Or limited and extremely expensive (cue fawn wisps) I would love love if we could have a private directory or something but it's not a cut black and white thing (and not officially recognized by subeta) and I know there's things like public copies of privates? Or something along those lines, my knowledge is fairly limited on these.

I wasn't saying buy stuff from her. I was saying she was open to trading stuff. Like I traded forum shop items for her collection items. She doesn't really use the forums so she doesn't have any forum tickets so she's open to trading for stuff from the forum shop.

I totally agree with you about the Pawn Shop going. The prices are going to get even more insane. It'll also make it even harder to get any items. So many of them are single batches that are only sold through slotting and never even make it into the CW shops. There's no way you can even remotely keep track of or ahead of all of that. shakes head So disappointing that they're taking away the pawn shop.

I don't mean to jump into the middle of your conversation but I once saw one of the "Azure Fawn Wisps" go for 8k. Honestly anything under 3k on the Fawn Wisps is a really good price. I was talking to someone yesteday-ish and she was telling me she sold the copy she had (the black ones) for 6k in less than 30 minutes. The Fawn Wisps are crazy hard to get and crazy expensive too.

I'm gonna tackle this first cos it's something that really bugs me when people complain about CW and digital art in general: i think it's extremely rude to the artists to refer to customs as "just pixels" and doing so really is a kick to the teeth and devalues their hard work as we grow more and more into the digital age, we see a larger shift into the digital medium, but that doesn't make art anything less than what it is because of the medium used (and tbh drawing digitally can be just as expensive as traditionally) a lot of people do this, you aren't the only ones, but i ask you to think about that when you asses the value of a digital item i'm not looking to insult you or for a fight but it's a perspective that not many people think of and factor in to these kind of situations and i can't help but bring it up

i still have a copy of the wig on hand, if you'd like i can set up a trade for you :) i can also link you to my selling board where i'm slotting on a white recolor if you'd like (i ask bc i know i dropped a heavy in the beginning of this message and if it left a bad taste in your mouth i don't want to pressure)

EDIT------ they're looking into options for a better CW directory that may include shop links as well as developing CW-only user shops for easy reselling i agree that the pawn was nice because it was an easy entry for people to see some CWs and buy them without the fuss of the forums or comments, but overall it hurt the CSC and CW economy because of how poorly the pricing was managed and the sheer volume of items it carried even the sP pawn turns over items like daily so the stock is different and not far off with the original prices there's other stuff they're looking at ideas for and thinking about to see if there's a way to lower prices all around we're at a point where there needs to be a change and they're trying to figure it out as they go instead of planning ahead more carefully (which is a valid thing to complain about) it is a shame that more things don't make it into shops but if every item did that, it'd be hard for it to retain it's value and is why ppl do slotting batches before submitting to shops - it kind of ties into the mentality seen at grocery stores where ppl think the last veggie in a bin is the grossest and worst option purely because it's the last there. compound that with the "i'll buy it later" mentality and things sit in shops for extremely long periods of time.

I have been for ages after this one cries when i first got back to Subeta i did not know anything about CW, so i messaged user asking i noticed a lock against item in her shop and asking me for password, so do i need to pay her for password. Well i got rude reply, so i left at that as then i went on forum boards which i should of done in a first place.

That should put indicator against an item (like they do gold star for CW) when it is private, i totally agree. Then you can lower your expectations haha

I meant that all games require some sort of real money spent these days within the game, its just once you paid it does goes to nothing if you decide to quit or stop playing. Its digital politics, companies out there trying different ways to cash in on players, so i am angry at them haha. Everything became money orientated. Minx, I was thinking of the exact CW you pointed out. I hate how the only public color is some very limited use teal color. And now I know the releaser is rude too. I don't know... it just doesn't sit well with me.

Yeah, I don't spend much money on here. You can still play for free, but it gets very grindy and boring. Plus, CSC is so expensive with buying with sp.

Sorry, I'm just really frustrated at how the CW situation is being handled. I want to support creators, but I feel like it's hard to with how things currently are.

I will submit the first batch as soon as the last slotter confirmed! There is at least 6 more slots available, if not more (that totally depends on interest). I gave up added sugar stuff, it has been my 3rd day now and OMG i alreayd going through cold turkey, can not sleep and cravings are unreal. Though i have not slipped yet, so fingers crossed. Yeah, I think that whole business about the private CW's is ridiculous... Subeta hasn't endorsed them? Well, they put them on their site, and made them searchable, and made it possible to add them to wishlists, so as far as I'm concerned, they HAVE endorsed them, whether they like it or not. So they need to just admit that to themselves, and then do something to mark them... Like change the star to a different color for those, or something....

That's a very generous top prize lol It would be really awfully if they rereleased the Fawn Wisps in some form for anyone who's bought them for multiple thousands of CSC. The story I've heard around them is that (except for the Cinnamon version) they were a private release but the user who released them left the site and told the people who had them that they could whatever they want with them.

I'm a complete novice when it comes to the CW market (I hit a personal goal sP wise this Lumi and finally started thinking about buying CWs) so I really don't have any broad knowledge on any of it just personal feelings about it. I gotta say it feels like a really bad time to be trying to get into CWs lol

I think I picked a really bad time to start getting into CWs lol I'm just worried it's going to get the point where you can barely do/get anything without spending significant RL money on the site. I understand the advantage of that for the site but as a user not so much. That was one of the things I liked about this site, if I put time in I could more or less fully play and keep up without sinking money into it. I used to use a site very similar to subeta but I had to quit because all the item markets became so severely shifted toward the RL money currency and the game earned currency became almost useless that I just couldn't do anything in the game anymore. I really hope that doesn't happen here.
