- I think it's a great sign, though, that you're too scared to live that far away from them! I get panic attacks from being in the same room as my mother, so I like some of the distance from her (but I miss my sisters).

I understand! There seems to be some sort of social norm to adore your parents but some peoples parents are arses! I wish you could see your sisters more :D!

- hugs I so want you to send that as a card to your dad! I had a migraine brain moment yesterday and called my mother -.-. Yeah, not doing that again for a long time. She gave me the guilt trip for not saying Happy Mother's Day to her last month (she LOVES days that are all about her and no one else), but I totally turned it around on her ^.^. FYI, she's the kind of person where I told her twice I felt like I was going to throw up (my nausea was really strong), and she STILL didn't let me go and kept talking about herself.
My dad isn't a jerk to me at least (there were times in the past), but he's so ill that all of these reminders of the dad he used to be are just...hard. He has dementia that is getting worse, and he hasn't remembered me for a few years now. He's at the point where he's getting more combative. It's also a huge reminder that my mother is negligent when it comes to his care and uses him to get attention instead of putting him in a memory care facility of some sort -.-.

Im sorry about your Dad :(! I know I already knew he has dementia but I'm still sorry :(! cuddle! It's a horrific disease, it's probably best to not confuse him with fathers day things but maybe bring him somewhere to eat out :D! I ended up getting dad a loving toblerone bar and a engraved pocket watch (which sounds 10x more expensive than what it was XD)!
guys I am so sorry for not being on and replying to sMails, and comments, and emails and even freaking kik messages D:!!! Full time work is crazy! I don't get home until 6pm then by the time I have dinner ad update th daily item it's bed time again eugh!! I have my graduation ceremony on Monday D:! Also Im working on a new competition for us which will be redy to go hopefully this evening!

- No worries! Yeah, that's my mum lol. I was feeling really lousy this past week, and I got to a really low point emotionally day before last because of how frustrated I was. I'll explain the neuro stuff below in a spoiler cause it's super long.
huggles Thanks. It is a really awful disease, and I think my dad's starting to shift into the end stage, so hopefully he will get to rest soon. I know how that sounds, but my dad doesn't deserve to suffer like he is, and I want him to be able to have some peace. My parents are back in Texas, so I couldn't see him. He's at the wandering stage, too, so he bolts when he is outside anywhere. Too hard for restaurants :(. Wow, you are so nice to your dad! Now I want a toblerone bar and a pocket watch! Just kidding about the watch. I already have a few ^.^.
LONG Neuro Story!
Basically, the new neuro's office wasn't getting my referral fax from the clinic (this had been like...two weeks now), but when I went in to get a copy from the clinic (which the clinic had said would be FINE on the phone), they wouldn't give me one because someone doesn't have a basic understanding of patient rights under HIPAA (which means I should be given copies of basically anything involved in care coordination for my treatment -.-). So they said they'd fax it again and even called the new neuro's office to talk to someone, but it was the 4th time they'd faxed it, so I was getting pretty hopeless. Had insomnia kick in where I only got 3 hours of sleep yesterday morning.
Called the new neuro's office yesterday, and some sort of luck/miracle/whatever happened because they freakin' got the referral. They tried to push me off appointment-wise until the end of August, but I asked if there was any way I could possibly get one sooner because there was no way in hell I could wait another two months. Another freakin' miracle happened because they had a cancellation and said I could see the neurologist at 2:45 yesterday.
Not only did I get there despite not enough sleep, but the neurologist was nice, asked questions, AND LISTENED TO MY ANSWERS. He gave me a diagnosis of Intractable Chronic Migraine, was surprised I wasn't on a preventative (so I gave a summary of the horrible treatment upstairs at my old neuro), and prescribed Effexor as a preventative for me. I took it a few years ago for depression/anxiety without any problems, so I'm hoping it goes ok. He also told me to cover my head whenever I'm in the sun, so I had to buy a hat :(. And he said that the kind of migraines I have won't be cured overnight, so it sounded like he was willing to work with me as long as it takes and knows how hard this stuff I'm having to deal with is (aka he might actually care).
I totally understand what you mean about your Dad and it isn't cruel at all! I think if people with dementia knew they had the disease and what it was doing to them they too would want it to be over. Ahhh I remember that stage! You'd open the front door and Granda would be half way up the street thinking he was going to get a paper even tho the paper shop was in the complete opposite direction x.x!!
Well after all those neuro screw ups Im so glad the new neuro actually listened!!! and by doing that he came to a diagnosis :D! It does say online that types of intractable headaches (they range from everything apparently :O) are eventually manageable and curable so hopefully this new tablet will help yoi out <3!!! I reckon this neuro will be able to cure your migraines :D!
