Previously went by they/them pronouns. That turned out poorly, because people would misgender me as she/her a lot (wtf?) So now, I'd appreciate if everyone used he/him pronouns with me. I'm a guy, guys.

So yeah, eep... We at PinkBuns are definitely in that offender category, I'm afraid. :( :( :( But it is so hard to imagine gender when all you have to look at are a computer generated HA (which may or may not look like the gender of the user) and plain old text. I actually use they/them an awful lot for people because I can't decide if they're a girl or a guy on here.

So yeah, everybody, if I ever call you by the wrong pronouns/gender/whatever PLEASE let me know.

I think my own HA's are usually pretty clear, considering how much glitter, sparkles, pink, and dresses I use. :P (Though of course, that's never a guarantee!!)

Haha, where have you been? XD I've been on staff for about a month now. You should check out the General Updates that and I have been posting here every week, to see some of the other stuff I've been doing!

And it's totally fine! I always corrected people to they/them if I saw them using she/her in the past. It became more of an issue after I became a staff member, because more people were talking about me. And well... I love playing in the wardrobe, but there are just so many more female wearables than male wearables to play with. But hey, no offense taken, I know it wasn't super clear before so I'm just glad to be able to clarify it for everyone at now :)

In a nutshell, I'm a trans boy who hasn't transitioned yet due to financial and health reasons. (For everyone else, Didi's confused cuz we knew each other from another pet site I was on like 4 years ago, it was before I figured out my gender stuff)

@ Bug Yeah, I've been super busy... I was on vacation in the States for two weeks (the 13th to the 27th), visiting family and such, with basically 0 screen time. Add to that that I've joined the Wayward Squirrels event (which is a huge roleplaying and other stuff competition that lasts weeks and takes a lot of time), and I really haven't been popping into PinkBuns very much. :( I've been making it on to do the daily challenge sometimes (but not always!!) and that's prett ymuch it...

By the by, peoples, if you like HA challenges, roleplaying, mysteries, and/or puzzles, you should totally join the Wayward Squirrels event next summer... It's kinda time consuming (especially since I somehow wound up being a team captain, even though this is my first year!!!) but it's really super fun. :O

And yeah, can't blame you with having more fun with female wearables... There are so many amazing ones, and especially when you buy CW's, they're spectacular. But every time I wind up making a male HA, for a challenge or whatever... Man, the pickings are slim, clothing-wise... :/

Edit x 1: And ooo, no, I never noticed those site updates... I saw you pinked a siteupdate forum group in one... Is that actually a group people can join? Because I would love to get pinged when one of those goes up. It's exciting to see everything you guys are fixing!!

Edit x 2: And then I went to the next update, and totally found that group... So cool, now I'm joining!

haha it's no problem. that group is way too hard to find though tbh. I just added it to my signature - it'll show up there once the forum siggy cache catches up.

And yeah, male HAs are just... harder to make. Female HAs get really cool and unique items, especially hair items, whereas male HAs don't get much of anything at all. And don't get me started on eye and mouth options for males. And pants.... D:

Yeah, I've done at least to contest entries where I was supposed to make my husband, and man, there isn't a piece of clothing on the site that I think he'd actually wear... Or if there is, it's one with weird old art, so that it's not going to make a NICE HA. And he usually winds up looking way feminine, even though he's a very masculine guy. :/ I'm pretty sure he'd cringe if he saw what I came up with... :O

- It's so hard to make a male HA. :/ That's pretty much the case with the majority of avatar makers. Females have so many options and males have almost nothing.

I prefer they/them, but I'm fine with she/her. (This is pretty new about myself.) I'm in a weird place where I'm neither masculine or feminine, though it does move slightly one way or another sometimes. Sometimes, my HAs are like my current one. Other times, they have cute dresses and sparkles.

It's a little odd because... I wish it didn't matter. I love making HAs because, for me, it's like any other art, like drawing pictures or writing. It's a creative activity that's also laid-back and fun.

It's sad to me that gender stereotypes can affect what items we feel comfortable using in an online game. There are some dress wearables, for instance, that are just really pretty. And boys are allowed to think they're pretty, and I wish I could feel okay using them again without having people assume my gender from it. But right now, I feel pressured to use unambiguously male HAs or be misgendered.

One time I made an HA that was a floating house with arms sticking out. I think of my HA as like... a picture I drew, so-to-speak. Not who I am, just something creative I made and want to show off.

A floating house with arms... I like that! And yeah, I totally think of making HA's as a creative outlet. I don't have room to set up my easel and oils in this little flat, so instead I come on here when I need to let the creative juices flow... :O

@ Bug - That's how I feel about HAs as well. I have a lot of fun doing the daily HA challenges here, because I get the chance to create something I like. While I usually make my actual HA based on how I'm feeling (like right now, I feel agender), I don't think HAs should be seen as an accurate representation of someone's gender, mood, etc.

I can see why you feel pressured to follow certain stereotypes for your HA. Having the entire site look at you is much different than just a small portion of it. I wish it didn't have to be that way, and I hope you can feel comfortable wearing dresses later. ;^;

I want to see the floating house HA if you still have it saved. :o

Oh man, I love that house HA. And honestly, the one you're using right now is really simple, but I love that one, too. Some of my favorite HA's to see on the site are actually ones without a person in them.

You know that game I mentioned I was playing? One of the HA challenges was to create a HA with no person. Basically, each of our characters is supposed to also have a pet/companion of some kind, so the companion was supposed to go on its own adventure for the chapter. In the end, there were some spectacular HA's created!
