a scared hedgehog .... in the middle of the city... in front of my parents' building o.o that's a link ;)
I really have to update my blog ObscureJourney and my review site BeingObscure. French speakers can read my reviews here.
Wow that's awesome! I love hedgehogs so much, never seen a wild one though. Haha just wow. Thanks for the picture!
I remember reading, I think in The Life of Pi, how if you took any city and shook all the animals out, you'd probably end up with some crazy and exotic animals.
I've been seeing alot of deer in my yard recently, a mom and two babies. It's always such a peaceful feeling to see them passing through.
I relocated to Melbourne, Australia, in January. I see possums and kangaroos all time .. Makes a change from all the squirrels I was seeing in London!
Wildlife? In a city that can be challenging, but I hear Blue Jays in the courtyard of my apartment... I think they must be nesting on the roof! They sing (or screech) a lot in the morning and at night, but I like the sound, because I’m mushy like that.
Saw a cat last night just... eating grass? Eating something in the grass? Cat wasn’t in the direction where I was headed, and I didn’t want to get my hands dirty before I ate my chips.
Rabbits, lots of rabbits. And the usual dark-headed Juncos.

Not long ago I saw a couple of roe deer and a (European) hare. There are also lots of blackbirds, sparrows, goldfinches and swallows around here. :D You can also see bats flying around at night in summer, and various small and huge moths. There are lots of forests here, so you often run into some kind of wildlife. :P
Yesterday there was a hedgehog looking for food outside the house and I can often hear them making weird noises under my window. :P

If I missed you during an event, please let me know.
There's a family of european magpies in the tree outside my window, and they had a family gathering today, so I've seen at least 5-6 magpies today. Poor things are moulting for the first time, and they're audibly bothered by that.
Today I encountered a mother spider and her spiderlings. All I did was take them outside and left them in peace.
Birds. A lot of them. So many that I wake up at 5am with all the singing.
I was in Jasper recently and saw a bunch of aminals The highlight though was a whole herd of elk with dumb tourists getting out of their cars to take pictures of the very obviously angry bull lol
lmao a big white tree kitten! Well congrats on a cool, interesting and thrifty new neighbor.

some tiny foxes (oml they looked like babies!) some baby skunks and their momma (they now live on the side of my boyfriend's house) and my favorite turkey! He comes into the yard when I visit and sits and eats apples and stuff with me
I moved flats this year. And am absolutely thrilled to report I have pygmy bats and waterbats flying in the backyard!
"Ask me about extinct jawless fish"
I reside in the lower half of Michigan but recently I took a short vacation to the Porcupine Mountains in the Upper Peninsula and during those three days I saw black/brown/red squirrels, several white-tailed deer, a couple foxes, plenty of robins and cardinals, swans, ducks, and beavers.
"Dang son, where'd you find this?"
I live in New England and I love driving around the mountains, so it's almost difficult not to see animals. I always see flocks of turkeys when I'm out, if I'm lucky I'll see some deer, and just a few months ago I saw a black bear with four cubs! We also had a flying squirrel get onto our porch (that we all thoroughly gawked at before carefully shooing him away)
