Aderyn mounted her broom and kicked off, easily settling into a circle with her teammates. She caught the quaffle Magnus threw and turned to Beth, passing it on.
"Catch!"
Ernessa caught the quaffle with ease 'Good throw Ace! You're doing great, you'll get used to flying in no time!' She flew over to where and Lyn were 'Who wants the quaffle next?'
Magnus promised himself that if Eros truely meant that he would put personal things aside, than so would he. They were there for a game. And hopefully this was a one off for him. He normally was not so reactive towards others.
Mounting her broom and flying up, Lyn took a couple moments to adjust herself. "No worries, Ace (). Keep yourself upright and balanced and work your way up from there." She looked up just as Ernessa () had caught the Quaffle. "Throw it my way! I'm up for it!" Lyn said grinning while waving a hand at Ernessa.
Ernessa grinned and threw the quaffle to Lyn . Being out on her broom made all the stress of the school term melt away. 'The weather out here is lovely, isn't it?' She yelled to her team mates.
Beth exclaimed, “Got it!” as she caught the Quaffle. She threw the Quaffle towards Eros () with more force than expected. “Go long!” she shouted as the Quaffle soared far in the air.
The sky was truly his element. Any anger, any resentment, or any problems he had; it was back on the ground. Up in the air, for him, there was only Quidditch. Up here, he found his state of Zen. Eros was circling around when Beth beckoned him. His eyes, focused, following the Quaffle in her hand. If anyone was close enough, they would have seen a brief, faint smirk on his lips when Beth instructed him to "Go long." They were almost his favorite words. The teenager made a sharp turn and raced after the Quaffle. It didn't take him long to catch up to it and to snatch it out of the air. He circled back around, eyes fixed on Magnus (). "Magnus," Eros called before launching a straight shot his way.
((ooc: dang these 502s man xD))
Eros looked less tense to Magnus who was surveying the air. Hearing his name he saw the quaffle shoot towards him in a rather nice arc. So nice, that he didn't really even have to work to catch the ball. It almost landed in his hands. He tossed it towards Beth.
[OOC: This week is so busy, other than Thursday, I don't know if I'm going to have a lot of time on Subeta, so if I don't respond right away, just ignore Ace.]
Ace smiled at the encouragement of his teammates and tried to maneuver around his teammates, watching the quaffle, but focusing on his broomwork. He did some dives and proudly only felt a little shaky during one of them. He circled around a couple more times, how everyone else was so comfortable and how they moved while retaining balance on the thin stick of wood, controlling their motions sometimes with only their hips and feet. He decided he would have to practice on his own some nights when school work was low and fly with no hands several times around and at different heights.
Beth flew towards the Quaffle and caught it. "Aderyn (), catch!" she shouted as she toss the Quaffle towards her.
"Are any of you interested in playing Quidditch professionally? What made you all join Quidditch club?" she asked her teammates. ( )
"Mum was on the 'Olly 'Ead 'Arpies, when she left school. Now she makes quidditch supplies. She 'ad to teach me as soon as I got adopted." he laughed, "'ad to 'ave 'er son know 'ow to play. And its a lot of fun. Plus the rush is amazing feelin.' You?"
Eros heard Beth's question but didn't answer her. Chitchat was not his forte. Plus, he never felt that it was necessary to share his motivations or aspirations with others. He was showoff, not a talker. Anything that he wanted people to know about him could be seen through his performance. Magnus mentioning that his mother played for the Harpies did pique his interest, but not enough to give the conversation his full attention. Eros hovered in one location, half listening to Magnus while the other half focused on the Quaffle being passed around.
Flying forward a bit, Lyn caught the Quaffle in both hands with practiced ease. Hearing Ernessa's () comment on the weather, Lyn hummed in agreement. "Especially for flying." Nothing made Lyn feel more in her element than being on a broom holding a Quaffle; to her it was one of the absolute best feelings in the world. Taking a deep breath, Lyn turned midair to face her group before making a quick toss to Gaia (). "Heads up!"
Aderyn pondered Beth's () question, but shook her head fairly quickly.
"I wasn't even sure of myself on a broom until last term, I'd definitely never considered playing for the house team, let alone professionally! It would be fun to join a league, though, to play for fun sometimes."
"What position did she play? How long did she play Quidditch professionally?" Beth asked Magnus ().
"And I definitely know what you mean. We live for the rush. I can't imagine life without Quidditch. Everyone in my family is a Quidditch fanatic," she added.
"You never know where life would take you. Had you played Quidditch before coming to Hogwarts?" she asked Aderyn (). (OOC: BTW, I think you have the Quaffle. Beth threw it towards Aderyn in my last post.)
"You're not much of a talker, are you?" she asked Eros ().
"Chaser. She played it in school too, which is when she crashed into me dad and they started dating after 'e regained conciousness a week later. She played for about five years, just before they adopted me. Best game there is!"
{{OOC: my bad!}}
Aderyn turned the quaffle over in her hands a moment, pondering her next move. She pulled her broom around so she was directly in front of Eros (), making sure he saw her this time before she threw the ball lest she hit him in the face again. Tossing it at him, she turned her attention back to Beth ().
"I'd given it a try once or twice before, but it was much closer to the ground than on a real pitch and it was with friends, not playing overly competitively."

This time around, he didn't let Beth () distract him from the Quaffle. It would have been embarrassing to be hit by the ball again for the same reason and by the same girl (). Eros caught the Quaffle that Aderyn tossed at him. Once it was firmly in his hand, he looked to Beth briefly and sighed. "I didn't join Quidditch Club to talk," he replied as he scanned the players to see who his options were. He had thrown to Magnus last time. And Aderyn just handed him the ball. That leaves Beth. "Your ball," he shot it Beth's way. "If you must know, yes. Quidditch will be my career." Eros said it with a lot of confidence and certainty. He didn't go into why, however, as he was already talking more than he wanted to.
(OOC: Hey guys! I'm not ignoring your responses. I had a pretty heavy workload last week/end. I'll have more time to post tomorrow. :))
(, I think your group is waiting for Gaia to catch the Quaffle.)
"With an attitude it's difficult to make it far in a sport like Qudditch." Beth told Eros () as she caught the Quaffle.
Beth tossed the Quaffle to Magnus. "I think we should try catching the Quaffle in lines now. Whoever has the ball can choose to throw forwards or backwards. That way the person who has to catch the Quaffle can practice diving for the ball."
( )
"Y'all are going great!" Beth told the other group. ( )
