I just can't.. the site is too buggy and too much data. It's too kid-protected and I feel anything I do.. could get me frozen!

I would play neopets again, but I cant remember my account, It was almost ten years ago

imo I feel like I can customize my pets more on subeta than neo due to neo's items looking ridiculous and clunky, the pet art being stiff and awkward, and anything remotely neat looking is locked behind NC and real cash. I'd much rather use my change on subeta and expand treasure chests, play with themes for pets with actually nice and expressive art, give them jobs, one day look into custom overlays, etc.

I still have my account but I don't play anymore. I only go on to play the Neopets Altador Cup in the summer and feed my pets sometimes.

I'm still on Neopets a lot. I'm going down with that ship - I still have long time friends, I have my pet sites, and I'm still a lot more confident there than I do here.

I haven't played Neopets in a long while. My biggest peeve is not really being able to buy more pet slots there. If that feature ever got established I think it would help the site greatly! Being able to change pet names would be nice too. I think changing pet names is one reason why Subeta has fewer pets in the pound compared to neopets. :) I really liked dressing up my pets there though. I went back a couple of months ago, but the world maps don't display on this laptop. I couldn't play any games either. :(

Neo's been in a death spiral for years and I probably haven't actively played there in a decade. I got really salty when they froze one of my side accounts for a stupid reason and I could never really enjoy it the same way after that. I had way too much time and (regrettably) money invested to abandon it completely though so I've checked in on my pets occasionally. I'd look around a bit, take note of the current state of decay around the place, maybe grab an omelette for my pets and leave feeling a bit melancholy. Gradually, I got locked out of more of my side accounts (at some point they had some glitch that randomized passwords or something, and staff there are useless so I could never regain access). Finally, just a few days ago, I discovered my password for my main account no longer works. Well, that's it; that's the end then, at long last. Farewell, my pets.

The people on that website are more toxic Chernobyl.

ngl i still visit the boards occasionally because it's just people complaining about neo being dead and shitposts, and it's weirdly entertaining i'm also waiting to get my main account back after it was hacked into over a year ago :/ like i'm not desperate over it or anything but i worked really hard on it and my pets and if they bring key quest back i might start playing again haha

I have over 1000 gelerts there, so it's pretty image heavy nowadays but I still keep it updated (and now I have four pet directories in total). Kaltyn's still there though! :3

Nah, only interested if it's radioactive. Sewage isn't my thing. :P I can't go back anyway though since I finally got locked out of my main. Oh wow, so I just googled my Neo username to see if I could at least look at my profile and stuff, and I found some douchebag with my Neo username on Reddit bragging about looking for logged-in Neo accounts on unattended library computers and stealing their stuff. I wonder if someone found that and thought it was me. Yuck. My username was AtomicSquid. I didn't steal anybody's stuff, ever. (And I thought it was bad enough I couldn't get the name I wanted on Reddit. Turns out the guy who took it is also terrible. Ugh.)

the cheating community on Neopets is huge. It's probably the only thing keeping the place going - well, that and a lot of spite.

Yeah, I kinda feel like a tool for doing everything the hard way and actually earning everything I had there. And it was a lot. So much time wasted...so much of my life spent playing flash games that I'll never get back. Don't even get me started on the Altador Cup... (For the record, I don't cheat anywhere. I don't find it fun or rewarding. So I'm not going to start here or anything haha.)

time you enjoyed wasting isn't wasted time, my man. I had a lot of fun playing KeyQuest and making friends, even if the game is down now indefinitely and all those people have disappeared. Though I'm pretty sure the Altador Cup has janked up my wrists permanently.

That's a great point and I'd normally agree, but I don't think I actually enjoyed most of the time I spent there. I was just grinding to get the rewards and now I have nothing to show for it. It was a legit addiction, not healthy at all. ...kind of like I'm still doing on Subeta sometimes, like for the Gelatin War. ._. But even that isn't as bad as the Altador Cup was, not by a long shot. And I don't have to spend nearly so much time here to earn enough sP to have a good time. It really took too much effort to earn anything in Neo; it's no wonder so many people cheat.

Eh, live and learn? The way Subeta's run encourages people to branch out and make friends. Just challenging enough to keep you interested, but not so much that you waste your life on it. Playing Neo actually used to make me exhausted, unless I was chatting on a guild or playing KQ.

Yep, everything about Subeta is just better. I'm even hopeful that I won't someday regret all the time I've spent here...too much. X'D
