my sister has a Mac and loves it. I just don't know that I need that expensive of a computer. I don't know what's wrong with my computer. My Windows was corrupted last year and the computer place fixed it but my computer hasn't been running great the last few months. I assume Windows is acting up again. My friend just told me that she bought a Lenovo computer for $170 from Best Buy. The computer repair place charged $125 to fix my computer last time, which is way less than other places were asking. This time I have all my data theoretically backed up to an external drive, which I didn't last time. So if I switch to a new computer, it would probably be a better buy than paying to get this one fixed and it possibly break again. I do have an iPhone. I just don't know if I can justify the price of a Mac.

If you have all your data backed up, did you already try to fully re-install windows on your current pc? This sometimes is all it needs.

Morning all day off for me today :)

, not yet. I tried refreshing my computer, but it said my drive was locked? So it wouldn't let me do it. I need to try to just restore it completely but I know it's going to take a really long time with the 3.5 years of updates my computer will have and I'm sure I will have some sort of problems since my computer hates me. Lol but I'm going to attempt it at least this week. I just want to plug my external drive into my dad's laptop when I get a chance and make sure everything is there. :)

I got the life scared out of me yesterday and scared everyone else too. I had been having chest pains off and on for a week and they got worse all after noon yesterday at work. Then when Chris picked me up from work and took me home they kept getting worse and spreading to my back and up my neck. I thought I was having a heart attack and reading web MD like a dummy escalated things quickly. This, in turn, caused me to go into a panic attack which wasn't helpful at all. Chris made me chew an asprin and rushed me to the er. Come to find out I've managed to somehow sprain my sternum cartilages and the muscles around my left rib cage. I have no clue how I even did it but thank God I wasn't having an actual heart attack. I feel stupid but the er doctor said it happens quite a bit.

Boss Man cut my hours at work this week, told me yesterday that I didn't need to come back till Friday. He felt bad, I could tell, but he's trying to keep from shutting the doors until things pick up...keep hoping they'll pick up around here. Everything is dying because of coal and there is nothing else to take it's place. It is very, very sad and depressing around here.

Don't you dare not to take chest pain seriously! I am glad that it didn't turn out to be a heart attack, but if it was, the sooner you get to a hospital the better. hugs I am sorry to hear that your work place is probably closing down soon. You were so happy to find that job! I keep my fingers crossed that business picks up again. Or that you'll find something else.

Well, by some miracle, I got my computer up and running today. I guess I just needed to let it go for a few days and come back at it with fresh eyes because I thought of trying something I hadn't before (not restoring the computer completely but to a system restore point instead) and though it said it was unsuccessful, something must have worked because it let me log in and actually see my desktop! :) Hooray!

I'm glad you weren't having a heart attack. I'm sorry about your work woes. :( I hope things get better soon.

, to have those pains is so scary, probably even more so for Chris. I've had esophagus spasms that feel like a heart attack which is scary too and I haven't known whether to go to the hospital or wait to see if it passes. Know what that's like. I'm so very happy you didn't have a heart attack but sorry you have that terrible pain. Hope you heal up very soon. Our little town has been very affected because of coal too. Lots of jobs lost and houses for sale. Hopefully things will pick up again there and here. There is a history of boom and bust here but we've been here over 30 years and this is the first time we've experienced the bust. It's a blessing we also have a huge tourist industry. That helps. I pray your employer is able to keep his business open!

Hope that cold get over with quickly . That must be depressing to see the end of life for your clients but also good to know you helped them all you could in there last year or years.

Off for exercise class. We haven't decided whether it's good for us or not it makes us so sore but sure enjoy the lunch and visiting after. 😃

, I know how you feel, right now I'm on Chris's laptop because first my desktop fried, replaced the hard drive and then it did it again, I don't know what was/is wrong with it. I wish I'd stuck with windows 7 as I honestly believe that upgrading to ten is what killed it. My daughter gave me her old laptop with a warning that it was on its last legs but I enjoyed it for a little bit before it crashed on me. Was trying to do a windows restore and it glitched and has no operating system at all now. Chris got this one for free from the VA to help with his college classes but I can't install all my art things on it and I really miss my art/design things. I hope I can get a new desktop with our tax refund. Chris wants a cheap used car so we'll see if we can do both. It's also a good thing you have everything backed up because I lost EVERYTHING in my first computer crash. I'm still afraid to create/save things. I wish you the best of luck!

It's like our state and county governments have been all about coal, not thinking of anything else and now we are screwed.
