This exactly. It doesn't set well when something like this happens with no notification.

You may be down a couple achievements because an old achievement with duplicate tiers was fixed. Grace doesn't remember exactly which achievement. But if your achievement count is lower, this is why!

When the achs were "updated" I lost a few hundred. I quit caring after that. If that's the worst mistake that ever gets made on this site, it would be a vast improvement. Right now I'd be happy if it didn't crash daily.

Last time I checked I had 1988. Man, I lost 5. LOL. OR maybe I had 1985 and lost 2. Not quite sure now.

Thanks for the ping ^_^ I wish the ach system wasn't completely overwhelming. I have no clue where I stand compared to where I 'should' be after they switched over before, or after this smaller bug. :/

Wasn't it a survival related achievement that got retired? Like the NPC kisses or something? I thought I saw something about it on the survival forum.

they were retired but that wasn't what caused the achievement count to go down. retired achievements still count towards the achievement total :)

I couldn't have said it better if I tried. The other day I had 2140, now I have 2137 which places me in the "Oh look, you lost 3" category with no clue what the hell happened. We put a lot into getting to the top of the achievement list, and this does not set well with me at all.

Same here. Once I've gained the achievement put in front of me it should be fine to move on to the next without having to worry about it vanishing.
