I'm really upset. I paid 25k to get infected with a new strain and have the first stage show up right away and I've been waiting and waiting and nothing's shown up! It should've been minutes after I paid for a random new infection and almost 2 hours later I'm still not seeing anything in my wardrobe! If I was going to be waiting as long as someone who would pay nothing for a new strain, then I would've done the free route! What's the point in paying for a strain to show up right away if it isn't? I'm not happy and I'm really hoping that I can even get a refund! XS

does the Healer say you're infected?

I chose one of the new strains for this year, but the 10k because I didn't mind waiting. I chose it at about 7pm Subeta time (when it said the wait time to get infected was 2.5 hours) and have yet to get infected. When I go to the VIP page it still says I'm not infected, but I'll get an event when I am. It's been four hours now :P

So idk if the whole system is behind, or not working, or what. If the healer says you're infected but you just can't see anything yet, it's likely that the first symptoms are tiny or that the cache is very slow.

Your forum zombie says you're infected! So it's probably just that the infection has a really tiny first stage. Make sure you have "Force item preview hover to show hex" enables in your preferences you you can see it better on hovers :)

It takes time. Patience.

The fact of the matter is it shouldn't take time as I paid to have it show up right away. it may say that I was infected right away, but it should have shown up right away, not hours later :/

You paid for a shorter time period for an infection, not zero time. But that isn't the issue. You are infected, which is what you paid for. I think there is something wrong with a file or something, as I haven't seen any infections show up. So while we may be infected, they aren't showing. This is different from paying and getting nothing (and 25k is such a small amount, mine said I was infected within a half an hour).

There's also an issue where a good number of users who chose an infection for free and haven't been infected yet, hours later.

I do find it strange that even after six hours we're still seeing no stage one progress for any of the new viruses. I mean, there's not even a spot or a tiny crack or anything to suggest anything happening.

Unless Stage one is deliberately paced so there is no visual change, then something seems off.

Yeah unfortunately I do agree that something seems hinky. It's been 5 or 6 hours since I picked my strain and I'm still not infected. I also find it strange that the new strains on people that are infected aren't showing up at all? Like previous stage 1s always show a little something somewhere.

I just got the event from Gunner, my message on the VIP page changed and said I was infected, my forum zombie changed to infected. Then 10 minutes later all of a sudden I seem to be uninfected - the VIP page is telling me to wait again.

same here nothing but iam it will happen just slow i guess

Hopefully this gets cleared up since this is one of the biggest portions of Survival people look forward to.:x

It's now been over eight hours without getting infected :/

My page still says this: "Thanks for participating in the Volunteer Infection Program! You've still got some time to wait, but you will receive an event once you've received your chosen virus!"

Still nothing. Well this is very disappointing.

I think I pickeda free one, and nothign seems to have changed.

And theres no little pictuer at th Healer that shows

I picked my infection right when it started yesterday. So yeah .. not working.
