a lot of people are also vending! at least i am because im really bad at rsing. and also buying snowballs regularly c:
I don't really know what to say, but go team!!! <3 We're a small team, but we can do it!
You can vend and not have to sort through the items. If you go to the donation page, it filters out the items in your inventory to only the ones able to be donated :)
~ Thank you for sharing. I'll try it. I just got done questing and realize I could do that ~ Lol ~ Although, I don't mind buying items as well, after all it's for this wonderful team ~ :D ~

No problem at all! It seems some people didn't know that, so figured I would share the info! Is there someone else I should ping with this info just to spread the word?
GO TEAM BFFS! :D
~ I really appreciate it ~ ^.^ ~
Maybe the team would be good ~ :D ~[br clear=all]
We're doing great so far! Keep it up, everyone! :3
Because nothing makes me happier when things are so bad they achieve a new level of awesome! :3
Hey guys! Just wanted to put this out there, because it seems some people didn't realize this, but...
- was just rereading the original news post about the contest. Looking carefully at the wording, the contest is about building the biggest (and best) snowman. Then it says we can "donate snow as well as food, drink and warm clothes to help them and keep up their morale". I wonder if snow is separated because you need snow to build the snowman and the rest is just for morale, which, I'm guessing is building speed. If that's the correct interpretation, those of us willing to spend the sP should make sure to focus on making sure our team has enough snow. If we run out of that (and I'm guessing correctly) the other stuff might not help us until there is a fresh supply of snow. Of course, that would be logical in a real contest, but for this online version, I might just be thinking too hard in the middle of the night. Any thoughts about this from my fellow BFFers?
My take on scoring is we get a certain amount of points for each snowball we build with. So snowballs would go in a pile and be used at some set rate. Then donating other items, or cheering could (at least temporarily) increase the building rate. So no snow, no building. Not enough other stuff, slow building (or I suppose it could also stop - it would be hard to build a snowman without warm clothes), but my guess is it won't stop because those things should be available in the communal pile of goods that people with no team can donate to. It might help to find someone with no team and see if they're allowed to donate snow, or just the other things.
Of course, that all might be averaged by team size in some way.
Just in case, I'm off to buy some snow.

I'm not sure how scoring works, I thought it was just 1 item = 1 point regardless of what items are, but I could be wrong.
Anyone know what Cheering your team actually does?
In any case, I've been throwing snowballs at the pile, 'cause it's the easiest thing to restock. (though it's ironic that we're giving them snow when this event all started because Aspen made too much snow lol)

-Guru - I read it that way too at first. Then just got to thinking about the fact that it's about building the biggest snowman and you need lots and lots of snow to do that. They could have just said "donate snow, food, drink and warm clothes" but chose to put in that "as well as" which could be read either way. You could certainly be right. It would be much simpler. So maybe I am actually just overthinking. I tend to do that at this hour of night. Still, it can't hurt to buy some snow. I'll just do some extra quests to pay for it. Thanks for your response.
- my best guess is that cheering affects our teams snowman building speed, since the message says "WOOOOOO YEAHHHHH YOU GO GLEN SNOWSNOW! - Good cheering, your team seems to have picked up the pace!"
I think cheering basically just gives 1 point too. Or it could be set to something like 5 since it's on a timer. I think arixen said something about cheering gives you the event skin. Not completely sure about either myself. (And grats!)
Hi guys, just chiming in that I'm on the team and I've donated like crazy the last couple hours.
I was doing ok with Rs'ing to grab a few 2-3k items at a time and also grabbing snowballs regularly. Also doing the vending. After I did my dailies worth of wizard quests I noticed that buying 20 point tokens was the best deal at around 36-37k at time of writing, divided by 10 vends out of that, makes it 3.6k per vend. Just thought that might help if it hasn't already been said...
Who - I think cheering helps us build faster. I said that cheering by non-team members (as well as donating to the community pool) gives them the event skin, as mentioned in the contest start news post.
I don't see any option to cheer for another team though. Unless I am missing it somewhere?
Who - people who joined a team can only cheer for their own team. But people who didn't join a team can still participate by cheering for any team. So if we get friends who aren't on any team to cheer for us, it should still help our team build - and they would get the skin.
