He's out ! After about an hour of trying, my friend's brother finally managed to open the door!

He was a bit reluctant to come out immediately, because he's shy/scared/something with strangers, so I left the door open until they left and he came out, peed A LOT on his sand, ate and drank water.

About time, becase I was starving too! Cooked a fish fillet for the first time as well!

And now the cat is meowing and I don't have the heart to make him stay outside my room tonight (even though I'm allergic lol), he's hiding under my bed at the moment lol

Poor kitty! Glad to hear he's okay now. If you haven't, you may want to check for any accidents he might have had in their room. I know Schmeow would've pooped in my dad's or my room if he'd been locked in there all day (he did once, long ago... he was locked in the house, the litterbox was outside... and he took his frustration out on my dad's bed. Heh).

same here! Poor little guy had been locked in there for around 17 hours. There's no foul smell coming out of the room, and nothing seems to be apparently different (except for a few fallen things), so he probably held. Will wait around for later for the ammonia to kick in and I'll find out if I'm wrong lol

cats are so resilient. I'm sure he probably just slept most of the time away, or looked out a window.

Knowing how he is, he probably did . I know he LOVES to sleep in my brother's bed, lol and he also loves to look outside the window, and being on the 2nd floor, there were probably many birds for him to watch during the day lol

Were the hinges on your side of the door, or the other side of the door? If you can see the hinges...cough most of the time you can lever the hinges off and pull the door. XD Locked or not. Most house door hinges are pretty easy to disassemble. Just for future reference. =0D

I'm glad your kitty was okay though! We've had that happen a couple of times, but thankfully, the spare keys were always able to be located.

Nope the hinges and the bolts on the doorknob are both on the inside of the rooms in our house

Mom told me that next times they would leave the keys for their room in mine, sheesh. Though everything could have been avoided if they had just taken 5 minutes to check where the cat was :/

...To be fair, some cats are good at poofing, so it's not so easy to simply check where they are, unless they're easily treat motivated like my boyfriends. You rattle the treat can and they ALL come running. =0P And the ones that I was talking about would often dart in just as someone was coming out...they never realized the cat had made it into their room at all...and neither had we, till we hear the meowing and saw the paw stuck under the door in the "LET ME OUT" sign. XD

LOL I can imagine the little paw sticking out of the door . Knowing our cat, he probably slept most of the time though, or looked out the window at birds :P

But yeah, I was mortified haha He's a little ninja :P

Better than my sister in laws cat fuzzy. If you had a glass of water and she was out, she'd either stick her head in your glass or her paw...and then she'd help herself to the water. XD You'd look around and go "oh..okay Fuzzy, let's get you some water...and me a new glass."

Eh, one should never be mortified by cats, because, cats. =0P

haha our cat does the same thing too, except we don't let him get near our food or water, but we stopped putting water in his food/water bowl, because he'd stick his paw in and then make a mess on the floor.

Instead, we have a small plastic cup near the dishwasher for him to drink, or whenever someone's in the kitchen, we just open up the faucet haha

The boyfriend has his fountain/bowl in a plastic box...because every once in a blue moon, one of two cats will get a wild hair and paddle all the water out. XD ....yet, none of them like shower/baths. I can't explain that one. And my kitty monster loves moving water, so she's happy to drink out of a faucet too.

Cats are so complicated, yet so easy to please once you figure them out lol

oh gosh! Cats man. If it makes you feel better, Isabelle locked herself in our bedroom 4 times, we had to have Elly crawl through the window. We finally got a new lock LOL

I would not say...all cats. XD I work at an emergency vets...some are just hellspawn when they're there, period.

OMG how did she manage that four times? Ninja Iz poof

yeah, mine changes from a cute cat to devilspawn within seconds when taking him to the vet, or a vet comes over to pick him up haha

[edit] I'm going to watch some tv now (watching a show called Bitten, it's about werewolves haha) while I eat [another] fish fillet with a side of shrimps, broccoli and spinach :P
