i think you did a fantastic job considering the complex design/inconsistent refs!! the pose is so cute and airy and the fact that you can't see his hands/arms doesn't even matter because of that stylistic quality. what you decided on with the hair bows is perfectly fine and though he's more often wearing the goggles than not, i think excluding them in this case looks better and less crowded. the outfit looks great! (^-^)b

i want to mention since it's not clear in the lineart & because i had to ask for it to be added in the last time i commissioned (since it wasn't clear in the refs i gave them) that he has sort of eye markings..? makeup? idk what it is exactly haha. i think the refs i gave you were a little clearer so you may have seen and are already planning to add it in during the coloring stage, but i just wanted to cover all my bases!!

other than that, i have nothing to add! i love your coloring work so i'm really excited to see the finished product, i know it'll be worth the wait (and it hasn't even felt like a wait so no worries about that). thanks soo much, i'll send you the payment now c:

A few questions/things before I continue:

1. In the ref it looked like there were only three toes per foot so I went with that. I also had to shorten the limbs a tiny bit to fit her in ;v;
2. Is there another ref with clearer markings ^_^;? Some parts I'm just a little unsure of (like the light markings on top of the paws.) Can the markings somewhat change or are they concrete? I just need to know if I have artistic freedom if there isn't another ref to work from or if I should get it as close as possible to the ref.
3. I'm having her look up at the sparkle dust trail (to be added when I color) and wondered if the dust can whip around any part of her or just her tail/feet? Just so I know for sure where to put it and where to not put it~

you can add more toes if you want! and the markings can change, so feel free to take as much artistic freedom as you need. unfortunately that's my only ref of her, so do whatever feels right to you. and perhaps just the tail/feet for the trail? though honestly i don't mind!

I know I'm not done with kronos' commission yet, but I wanted to get your lineart completed so you'd have an update to look over while I finish theirs. please let me know if any changes are needed! anything at all. I went with a pose closer to the one you showed me and did a slight head tilt~ I'll do a lot of the inner fur work on the mane and tail when I color. I didn't want to overload the lineart too much at this stage. I also closed the wings so I could show the tail a bit and not have to squish the proportions on them too much.

I wanted to show you what she looks like on a dark background since the white background in the forums won't really do it justice. The sand trail is kind of an interpretation since I've never seen that movie o.o.. and I also chose to just surround only the tail a bit! Please let me know if any changes are needed! @ kronos unfortunately messing with opacity isn't an option when working with transparent backgrounds on gifs Dx if I have a white pixel at 1% opacity on a transparent background it'll appear 100% white when exported as a gif what I can do instead is have you choose a color like if you want it to have more of a light grey outline I can do that since semi-transparency isn't an option u_u.. so if you wanna pick a hex code for me to work from that'd take no time at all ^_^!

do you.. do you take csc bribes by any chance i really love your quad pixels ;_;

@ kronos click let me know how this is~ it does kind of blend with the orange outline of the dust and I can tweak the grey outline to be darker around those areas/lighten the oranges touching it if it's more of what you wanted then I'll go ahead and do the other version as well~ and don't worry about asking for more tweaks! this took like 3 mins to do so I'm down to help you play around with it until it works :) (although I am going to bed after I post this so my next reply will be tomorrow)

the color of the new grey outline looks v nice against a dark backdrop v i think the color is definitely good to go.

Ok! So I darkened the lineart around the sand and also lightened certain sand spots. it was the only way to make the orange/brown not blend with the grey u_u the sand outline will probably look too dark when looking at the piece on white, but on the dark colors it's hardly noticeable c: let me know if this is good and I'll go fix the other version for you as well ^_^! and please ask for more tweaks if needed~
