Who would you guys say is harder to beat, crawbeast or chase?

probably crawbeast.

I'd say chase cause with a little pet youre taking more turns which means more likely to get everything stolen, plus you can get some freeze hits on crawbeast. ATM my t11 can beat crawbeast roughly half the time but cant seem to eek a win on chase, even without having everything stolen.

I ask because I used to skip chase and crawbeast all the time for BQs. Now that I have a water blocker, I can beat crawbeast but I haven't really tried again with chase. Sometimes it takes a couple of times to beat crawbeast because I didn't get a good blast or needed to change my strategy a bit. I recently tried chase again but he crit hit me on the first turn and since I wasn't blocking I lost. Was it just bad luck? Should I be able to beat him or not yet?

Pretty sure I got my first wins against chase in t11. He's not too bad really, annoying mostly

- Chase is easier if you are lucky, harder if you are not :P Chase is kind of a jerk. If you have something like Ether or Natasha which block some of his major icons and generate stealing fodder, he is much easier. Getting OHKO'd by a crit on the first turn, I'd call that bad luck, but that doesn't mean he is going to be easy to beat if you don't get crit and block the right icons. Light, Phys, Wind, and Fire are his major hitters if I recall correctly.

Ok I can definitely beat him then. Do you have a recommendation for sets? I am using pbb and trident, but I don't know if there is a third weapon I should bring in case he steals. Maybe swash? Other than that I think I used rv, rblaster, somas and my two healers. I think I brought in the ohs as my third weapon since that has the steal protection that activates pretty regularly

And then I would have to leech some stats.

I haven't unlocked Chase... but he's a pain in the BQs. Doable but a pain. Good luck. In BQs I'd rather go up against Chase then Crawbeast.

Swash is good, I'd use that over trident because of the better heal. But bringing both isn't bad if one is stolen. Natasha is nice for bullet generation.

- If possible, drop one/both full healers and take GotF scrolls instead, if he steals them and uses them it'll make your life miserable. Swash is good, as said, Natasha is good, Ether if you have it. Mod with BoNA for steal protection. MW is also an OK choice since it can steal things back, but it's block isn't very useful against chase. I go full weapons/bombs set against Chase in BQs now just cus I hate it if he steals a healer or full blocker, but that strat isn't doable if your stats can't back it.

Thank you for all of the advice! I don't have natasha yet, that is my end of the year goal to buy. I only have one GotF scroll and I definitely could not last long if I don't have my healers x.x

it will be difficult without the right setup but still doable and you'll definitely take losses.

Just wanted to say I'm happy because I managed to get 5 wins against Mornrise Serpent, the Gate Keeper and Vile Carrier for the first time today. Yeah it's not Crawbeast but it's quite an accomplishment for me. :)

Congrats! Those are all great accomplishments =) I actually paid attention to the damage mornrise serpent does today and I can see how he would be a real pain in the ass for people with lower stats. He literally has weapons that cover all the different icons and has the potential to do a lot of damage with a wide variety of icons.

you'll get to crawdude in time, just keep at it :P it's always nice to beat up some challengers you couldn't before. that's what I miss about battling the most.
