[ I don't usually post on weekends, but I wanted to put this much. I'm working on Nunque. He's.... Difficult to play. One has to put their mind in a setting that doesn't make much sense, but ultimately collects into a bigger, meaningful picture. Such is the way of a crazed seer.]

"Our soul father," Nunque began, "you've seen him, I'm sure." He turned to face Amuné, the corruption in his eye had spread slightly but noticeably. "A demon. Smoke billows from his breath. Eyes like a snake. Towering and Tall." There was nothing but hate for the person he was describing. "He comes in my dreams. Tortures me."

The amber in his eyes flashed gold but just for a second, as did Amune's as the insane seer sent her a mental image of Marcus. A twelve-foot-tall, heavily muscled humanoid with a gas mask to filter out methane for it to breath. It had bright yellow, slit eyes under silver hair. It held no age. And it stood tall and terrible against a burning sky.

As quickly as he had shown her, the image was gone. Additionally, Nunque's mood had shifted just as quickly. "Where is our brother? I'm flippin' dying of hunger here." He said, looking around. He stood and wandered to and out the door. If Amuné would try to stop him, his unnatural strength would be too much. His mind was set on finding sustenance.

Jareth's room, ESH

Jareth stood in the doorway as Nunque opened it. "Here you go, one package of yakisoba," the young man said, after recovering from his surprise when the door opened just as he went for the handle. He held out the package and a fork. "There's soda too, if you'd like a can." He came into the room and settled on the floor near the bed.

Amuné considered the image she'd picked up from Nunque, and slowly shook her head. "I've never had a vision of anyone like that," she said after a minute of careful thought. "Have you tried meditation to order your thoughts? How practiced are you in mental shielding? There's simple wards you can use to shield a room -- and a more powerful version, though I'm not able to craft that myself. You'd need to locate someone to do that for you." She'd not needed the stronger spells since she'd been rescued from the Order and recovered from what they'd done to her there.

((OOC: I'm so sorry, I didn't know the "What do you want?" Was directed at my character DX ))

Sirius' natural skeletal grin didn't seem to help the mood as the three simply stood in silence. The bony man started to... sweat? Small droplets dripping off his chalk-white skull, his shadowy eyesockets scanning for a way out of the uncomfortable situation while he stood halfway into the doorway. Finally the silence was broken by the angel girl, who had introduced herself, but as she stated her true name, the pale girl shivered as a light overhead broke, small streaks of electricity jumping along the ceiling before dying out soon after.

Sirius made way for the seemingly blind girl as she rushed out the room. The skeletal man peeked back inside the room to look at the angelic girl once more, who was... Watering at the mouth. Sirius gave a slight grimace before drawing away from the classroom. It seemed now would be the best time to check out his dorm.

"Edward Stern Hall, eh?" Sirius said aloud to himself, looking up from his small informational slip to the large off-tan sign. The skeletal man proceeded to push open the metal doors to the small lounge area at the entrance. It wasn't anything special, just some plush red chairs with wooden tables and the like. He managed to find an elevator to take him to his floor.

Sirius scanned his dorm as he entered. It consisted of a wardrobe, bunk bed, drawers, and a simple table and chair by a window. From what it looked like, either Sirius didn't have a roommate, or said roommate was also late to school, as both of the bed sheets were untouched. Sirius peaked into the small kitchen. It seemed all the necessities for a... Living being were there, like a combined stove and oven, as well as a microwave and sink, along with a small cutting board. "I won't be needing this." Sirius said emptily as he suited his gaze to what Sirius liked to call the thinking room. Needless to say it was the toilets.

Nunque accepted the offerings with excitement, sitting down next to Jareth as he began to slowly and carefully eat the food bonfire him. H hadn't eaten in three, maybe four days, so this was a nice change of pace. He began to even out. His spastic nature was calmed more and more as his belly filled. He also accepted the can, but after a quick analysis, he determined that he didn't know how to operate it. He set the can down carefully, an expression of perplexity on his face as he studied the can. All the while he slowly ate, as if his study of the aluminum object had separated his mind from eating for the moment. "My mind will not be clouded by silly spells." He said ironically in response to Amune's suggestion without looking away from the can. He shoved a wad of noodles into his mouth, chewing deliberately as he gazed at the can with enthused eyes.

Then suddenly the can snapped open, allowing a small stream of foam to escape. Nunque happily reached forward, his mouth still half-full of noodles and veggies, and took the soda. He gulped down half the can and returned to his noodles with a smile.

The girl was nothing if not interesting. "I assume that you intend on getting me fired." He said after his aid was rejected. "That is the only explanation for denying a teacher to ability to take care of his student. I am responsible for you, y'know." He said nonchalantly as usual as he began to walk toward the library. He looked back to Raia and waived. She would not see the Aegis as requested. Not that night.

As he passed it by, he stroked the tiger and squatted down before it. He offered the bandage to the tiger this time. Clearly it was more sensible than the girl herself, "Make sure she keeps that clean, we don't want her getting an infection." He said pleasantly, with a hint of malice. He stood, his facial expression changing drastically. The seasoned warrior that Raia had sensed was showing through now in a purely authoritative posture that bordered being downright scary, "Lets get one thing straight, miss, you're a student here. If you were capable of opposing me, you would be a teacher. If I offer help, I suggest you take it."

He turned again to face the library without emotion and without giving the chance to the girl to retort. "Come now, you need materials and I know where the Library is." He added, now having returned to his previous, helpful mannerisms.

She would keep to herself, ignoring the man's accusation of her trying to attack his career. She would simply scoff, continuing her aimless wandering through the campus. Responsible, hm? hardly she wanted to say, biting her tongue to keep her from doing so. No, she felt rather competent enough to handle her own. She wasn't going to allow herself to become someone's burden. Tiger companion treaded behind quietly with Envy-lantern within his jowls. The pyrite handle would squeal jovially in motion. Rounded ears folded against his skull as the man would comb his hand upon the white and black hairs upon his head. Curiously, the cat paused with a lowly grumbling noise that often mulled from his throat as Nalta knelt down to he. Brow would rise as he looked to the man with a questioning stare when the bandage was offered. He knew all to well of its medicinal purpose and what needed to be done, however, much easier said than done. He would accept it nevertheless, dipping his head to have it drape around the back of his neck. “You're preaching to the choir.” he mused, devious feline smirk tugged black lips.

Morgäna would pause as she partially turned noticing the tiger had been stopped. Her expression remained stoic, her fingers were trembling with a mild pain attempting to keep her composure. Alabaster gaze would move to the ground, refusing eye contact with the approaching assistant. It appeared his disposition went from relaxed leisure to a hardened, stone cold. Before she could react, the man had promptly turned to continue towards the Library for further instruction. The young pale woman held her mothers tyrant temper, whether she wanted to admit this or not – though far more stubborn as a bull with her evasiveness and rejecting aid. Wolf form, begging for freedom. Her body was slow to heal as it was, so what was the point of it then? Amethyst gem around her neck that sparked with smaller electrical currents hummed, sending out larger though relatively harmless sparks. Suddenly feeling as though she had the wind knocked out of her, notebooks and papers, including the small photo of her sister, would escape trembling fingers and scatter to the ground.

The shifter felt her knees go weak, stumbling to the ground. Her heart pounding against her chest. Tiger companion was quick to rush to his maiden's side, his head craning outward to further inspect, though was met with the palm of her head trying to shoo him away. “I'm fine.” she uttered breathlessly, cursing under her breath. She could only hope no other student or professor had noticed. “I didn't ask for your help....” she scowled at Nalta, as she then began to struggle to collect her things, This is humiliating

Jareth's room, ESH

Amuné pressed her lips together at the man's response, but as she opened her mouth the reply the can of soda popped open, apparently on its own, startling Jareth. "Whoa! Hey, did you do that with your mind? I didn't know a Seer could have telekinesis too." Had she been younger, Amuné might have been jealous. But she'd come to terms with the fact that her magical ability was equal parts gift and curse years ago. "It's important to have a refuge where you can relax without the world pressing in," she told Nunque. "If you are being tormented by dreams, this 'silly spell' might help -- until you're able to block most things out on your own. And even then they come in handy. I use wards during exam week, or I'd never be able to sleep."

"Well," Nunque began matter-of-factly, "I've never used a ward and I turned out just fine so ha." He was talking between bouts of chewing and slurping the drink that he absolutely hated. He gave Jareth a strange look every time he sipped at it, asking finally, "What in the nine circles is this?"

He completely dismissed the notion of wards all together. In truth, he was afraid of them. His mind was what it was. He was comfortable with it. He feared that if it changed, he might change. He didn't want to change, not until he made Marcus pay for what he did.

Nalta watched as the girl's entire demeanor changed. She seemed to be extremely uncomfortable. Judging by the physical distress, and erratic, flaring magicka around her; he deduced that the girl was undergoing some kind of change. It was likely she was in some kind of shifting state. He watched, still calm and collected. "You know, I can teach you how to contain this and avoid embarrassing yourself. In fact, I'll seal it right now if you wish. I have special sealing spells just for this kind of thing. I usually use them defensively in combat, but the effect is the point here. It will seal and rebalance your magicka long enough for you to regain control." He informed as he stood there with his experience almost visible in his posture, "...or you can refuse my help again and writhe in pain until your change is complete. Your decision." He waited for an answer as he focused his magic, preparing the powerful spell he was telling her about. "I should advise you that the school will not look kindly to you shifting in the middle of the grounds for all to see." He added. "So what will it be?"

Papers were scattered along the ground, some blank pages of looseleaf notebook paper and a few odds and end notes that she had kept to herself. Notes written of the times her magic had flared and the occasional moments where she had shifted as well as a few comments made about its process. There was also the photograph of a woman similar to age with Morgäna as well as facial features and structure. Her hair, however was jet black and tied back in a loose, messy bun. The woman's appearance appeared homely and welcoming with soft, cerulean eyes. Morgäna was quick to snatch the photo up, closely inspecting only to find a slight tear just by the lower left corner. There was very little the young shifter had cared for and often simply coveted some materialized things; however the photo of her sister was one of the few things she had left that kept her going. It was something of what she had left of her sister in which she cherished. “I'd rather you didn't.” she would retort in absence, alabaster eyes gazing quietly at the image. Facial expression exposed a hint of an emotional pain which was generally difficult to come by. Papers and photos were quickly placed as neatly as possible back into folders and a binder.

She would look at her pale hand, her right one, noticing the single electrical current tease her fingers before quickly dissipating. Worn sigh escaped her lips with her shoulders dropping. “It's not a change.” Brows knitted together as she brought her things close to her chest, pursing her lips together. (You shouldn't deny help when offered, Uciliece.) Telepathic thoughts passed between she and familiar companion. Morgäna remained sitting on concrete trying to recollect herself. She didn't want to give away much information that the tiger either knew little of – or not at all. “... I can handle this on my own.” she retorted stubbornly, as the maiden reach to grab the scruff of her tigers nape to help herself stand up. “The library will be closing soon, will it not?” attempting to change the subject.

Jareth's room, ESH

Amuné sighed. It didn't seem like Nunque was interested in listening. JAreth raised an eyebrow at the question. "It's soda. What, you've never had a Coke before? Man, you've been missing out." The conversation was interrupted by a knock at the door, which the young man went to answer. "Oh, Professor Raia. Um, come in, I guess. Ah, please ignore the mess, I really wasn't expecting so much company."

The corner of the professor's mouth gave a slight twitch at Jareth's self-consciousness, and she made no comment about the state of his room. "I came to speak with the new Seer," she said simply, stepping inside and closing the door behind her. She turned her gaze on Nunque. "Nunque isn't a student, Professor," Amuné quickly said. "So he doesn't know the rules here."

Raia considered this piece of information, and shook her head. "It really doesn't matter if he's a student or not, Miss Ris. Nunque, I realize the laws governing your community may be different, but here we try to avoid run-ins with the mundane authorities. Incidents like the one earlier jeopardize our secrecy. You have nothing on you to misdirect them, and if you are at risk for outbursts like that, you need to take precautions."

It was impressive. The girl's magicka was beginning to stabilize somehow. "Fine," Nalta replied, "but the moment your magic gets out of control, I'm sealing it. Whether you like it or not." He said with almost obnoxious pleasantness. He turned and headed toward the library, keeping his guard up. It was getting late on a campus full of magical people and beasts. Common sense was to be on guard, but that wasn't his reason. Nalta was always on his toes. One doesn't live so long and not make enemies.

Nunque halted, swallowing one last bite of food before gazing at he teacher from under his brow. His eyes were nothing but hostile. There was bloodlust in them. "White hair? Almost like his hair." He observed aloud. He stood slowly, and as he did, his magicka began to radiate off of him, causing wind to whip around the dorm room. The energy was visibly steaming off his body, but more concerning was the scowl on his face of pure unfiltered hate. What made it strange was the tears flowing from his eyes and the tone of his voice as he spoke with inflection that didn't match his expression. "Please," he pleaded with terror and sadness, "please get out of here.... I don't want to kill you." He admitted as a sick grin spread across his face. "You're not him, I'm saving this for him, so leave." He implored

Black indigo eyes would glower at the woman as his shoulders rolled with mild frustration. She would like to think of him daft, however he was quick to place two and two together. Rounded ears flicked, glancing between the two; curious of the man and his word and actions. He couldn't help but admit he was amused to capture how flustered she was of this man. Morgäna ignored the man's warning of the comment to seal her magic. She would simply scoff with disdain and shake her head. She wouldn't let him near her should he dare – she was that stubborn. “What?” she would snap at the tiger with her own cold stare, releasing her grasp of his scruff and retrieving her lantern from his jowls. She was trembling but tried to walk it off. The white tiger would simply watch her as she stormed away, pushing passed the intern as she headed towards the library. Rounded ears of the tiger folded against his skull as he trudged onward, just behind the man. “You get use to it after awhile.” he mused with a lowly rumble, clearing his throat. Small black pendant around his neck swayed loosely in motion. He came off as a regularly house cat to humans; large wild cat to those possessing magic and other mysticisms.

“Curiously enough, you seem intrigued.” The tigers head would tilt ever slightly to the right. Black indigo eyes would watch as Morgäna walked down the stairs. The library appeared so worn and decrepit – like it had been long abandoned for what seemed like centuries. It appeared befitting considering majority of the building did appear mostly underground as if erosion had occurred over time. As she pulled door to open and stepped in, it was a completely different world. Shelves covered in books crowded the walls and stretched to the sky-scraper ceiling. Alabaster eyes widened, feeling some what intimidated as if her heart had skipped a beat. Her tiger would remain outside to await for her return. She had just went in for a book, so it shouldn't take long at all. “Her magic is restoring itself while her body is healing.” He would sit comfortably at the bottom of the steps. Shoulders relaxed though on guard. “Thus the cause of these fluxes of currents.” It wasn't just the burn she inflicted upon herself earlier but there were other factors from previous events prior to the school. Black lips pressed together as he watched the doors curiously of students and staff alike coming and going. He could only hope she would not take too terribly long.

"Excuse me--" Morgäna cleared her throat as she approached the main desk. She'd hoped herself to make this quick. An in and out sort of thing. The faster she could get her books, the sooner she could get away from a little bit of everything and find solace for the evening. She was concerned though, recalling the mentioning of fees and costs. She hardly carried much on her person. Perhaps pocket change. Food wouldn't have been an issue, she could just hunt in the evening when no one was looking, catch a rabbit or bird if she needed to, outside of school grounds. The thought of shifting though, did startle her as the shifting process was incredibly painful.

(( Two things. Firstly, the library is mostly underground. The Fairhaven Memorial Library is not the campus library. That's the Maybelle library. I realize this is a little confusing. Also I'm not sure why you're calling the librarian a wraith. Mary Russell (the head librarian) is completely human, though I suppose some of her subordinates might be undercover creatures. I can play Mary if you like. The ghosts mentioned are those of the two girls who died when they fell into the Pit -- the library courtyard, which is not covered.

Also if you're going to have an attack, I doubt it would be so considerate. I didn't have anything in mind, but I suppose we could work something out.

Thanks for the compliments. This is a character of mine named Rhia. The setting she's from has furries -- she's half-raccoon, half-elf. <.< I was asked to play her -- she's the daughter of two other characters that hooked up over the course of my group's adventures.))

Maybelle Library

An older woman with her graying hair pulled back in a bun was behind the desk, scanning a stack of books. She wore an outfit that wouldn't be out of place in an office building, a lanyard hung around her neck with an ID card indicated this was Mary Russell. She turned from her current task when Morgana spoke. "Hello, young lady. How can I help you?" She pushed her wireframe glasses up her nose, and gave the student a smile.

ESH, Jareth's room.

"Nunque!" Amuné was on her feet in a moment, moving in between the enraged man and the professor. "Please, calm down. And definitely don't attack Professor Raia!" Raia was on her feet as well, her left hand dropping to her scabbard in an instictive gesture. The woman's demeanor remained calm, though her expression was now a chilly glare. When she spoke, her voice was frigid. "I would advise you to listen to your friend. And if you are going to have episodes where you may attack others, then this campus is not the place for you."

The only noise that rang through the library was the bustling of feet and the coming and going of students entering and exiting the building and the muddling of the occasional noise that could be heard in a library. As the woman's voice chimed, nickel stained eyes moved from the oak(?)-made desk to the older woman. Time was kind to her as she stood rather professionally on the other side. Morgäna glanced at the lanyard with the woman’s photo-identification, indicating that she was in charge of this underground building. Left brow rose with inquiry though she'd never question it. Mrs. Russell appeared as if she belonged here, even if she were a human. The young woman remained broodingly stoic, extending the small slip of paper with her schedule printed sloppily on it. “I just need the required material for these studies.” She wasn't sure if this library was to remain open all night or if she should just come back tomorrow and retrieve them. As she placed the small piece of paper on the desk, she retreated her arms, one around her waist, absently resting on the burn wound and the other resting upon the strap of her messenger bag. “If need be I will just come back tomorrow before my first class.” She would glance at the entry way, pondering would lead to her tiger and his doings. She hated leaving him alone, as he wasn't one for secrets he needn't share. Though he also wasn't one to give away too much for his own leisure.
