"Well Aderyn plays Quidditch!" Gaia giggled "I am actually not sure. I think fairies are playful but I am not sure they have an organized sport for their communities." gaia looked at Adryn for insight.

Aderyn blushed at the mention of her playing quidditch, and she laughed.

"Well, on the bright side, having wings really helps with balance on a broomstick!"

Gaia laughed "if you say so... I have seen you play!" Gaia beamed while teasing her friend "I do think the wings come in handy for Quidditch. You can avoid serious harm."

(OOC: I'm sorry I am in the middle of moving (a distance of about 7 hours south of my location), so I'm crazy-busy. I'm still working half days and trying to pack/move up everything in the house! SO I apologize for the delay in my response and if I forget anyone - Please forgive me! <3 )

Aria watched as () Magnus cast a spell that made his unicorn drawing come to life. “That is amazing!” She exclaimed and continued to watch with her mouth agape. Aria watched this for a few moments longer before Fade managed to pull her attention away to Chase and Dax. Aria smiled when Chase gave Fade a sass tail tap, “Dax does something similar to me when I say things he does not like too.” Aria commented while watching Chance saunter over towards Dax. “I’m sure they will be friends,” she said hopefully. ()

Aria gave a deep sigh and looked back towards Fade, “My mom will never speak of magic so I honestly do not know if she is a witch or not. I do know that my father was a great wizard and he died in a magic war. I get the feeling that my mom abandoned the life of magic after he died and become something totally different.” Arai could have said much more about her mom but decided to let it drop. Her mom wasn’t here to defend her bad parenting anyways so she felt bad talking about it. “I am sorry your mom never talked about it, do you know why she chose to keep quiet about magic? Perhaps she was trying to protect you?” Aria asked trying to give his mom the benefit of the doubt.

A moment later, Beth () leaded forward and joined the conversation. After inquiring about her other pets Aria got very excited, she loved the topic of animals! “I do own other animals but none of them are magical except Dax. I own a fennec fox and a black dog. My mom is really attached to both of them though, so they stay with her.” Aria smiled thinking about them. “Do you have other pets or griffins?” Aria asked Beth.

Suddenly Dax started chirping as he played with Chase in the corner of the room. Aria looked over at him and started talking to him in only a way a loving griffin-owner could and get away with. Paddy () heard Aria talking to Dax and commented on it. “I often talk to him exclusively, even when people are in the room,” Aria said while shaking her head. “It is kind of a bad habit. I hope I haven’t been doing it again too much,” Aria said with a hint of flushing red highlighting her cheeks.

Class began and Arai watched intently as she was taught about fairies.

"Its a fun spell," he said. "Charms is one o' me best subjects." Magnus gave her a pat on her shoulders but said nothing else. He just met her and wasn't sure what else to do.

Aria looked up and smiled at Magnus (). "I'm going to have to study harder in charms then, so we can have some fun!" Aria smiled mischievously and winked at Magnus.

"Studying is rather fun," he replied. It entered his mind that perhaps he'd missed something... but he wasn't sure what.

"My sister Lyn owns bats. We also have a dog and a family owl," Beth replied. ()

"What do fairies like to do for fun aside from racing? Do they like to make music? Dance?" Beth asked curiously. ( )

Wow! How pretty, Beth thought to herself as the enchanted fairies danced around her. "Fairies are interesting creatures, don't you think?" Beth asked Magnus () and Aria ().

Aderyn considered Beth's question.

"Fairies love to have parties. Any excuse for celebration is a big affair in the fairy world. They're also curious, despite their simple intellects, and love to explore their surroundings."

"Yes and pretty." It was true they were very pretty. He sketched a few and even put Gaia in his book with her wings on.

"Aderyn, you were getting really good on your broom the other day, but I noticed you seemed a bit nervous when we first started. How far can you fly with just your wings?" Sam asked.

Aderyn pondered Sam's question.

"My wings can get me up pretty high, but I can't depend on them for too long. They're a big help when I'm on a broomstick, though. The nerves were largely because I'm not used to flying without them, but since I'm fairly sure using my wings to help my balance in quidditch is cheating, I finally gave up using them. Now that I'm better at it, I'm not so nervous about it anymore."

( ) "That could be one of the disadvantages of half fairies. Since full fairies are small and delicate a half-fae like Aderyn can have issues with her wings. They are bigger in size, but so is Aderyn. She is not the regular size you would expect from a fairy. This is important because a half-fae can seriously injure themselves if they push themselves too far. Gliding and using the wind in their favor will greatly help how long a larger fairy or half-fae will last flying. Even though Aderyn uses her wings for balance and safety when riding her broom having her wings out during a match is not ideal. The same can be said while flying on winged creatures or her broom in general. The pressure or other objects could be really dangerous on their wings." Gaia looked at everyone and released one last group of enchanted fairy dust. "We can continue our work on fairies as well! If anyone has a question feel free to ask."

(To EVERYONE in the club!) While everyone enjoyed the dust Gaia made her announcement. "This week we will be working with owls. If you have a pet owl feel free to bring them over! If you do not have an owl do not worry! We have some for you all as well!" Gaia turned to Aderyn "I'll be right back going to take my wings off." Gaia left to the side of the stage taking her wand out.

Paddy finished scrawling down notes on Fairies, tucking the last bit of detail into the corner of the page. Having not anticipated making quite so many notes, she'd only brought a small notebook with her.

She gave a low whistle, and waited for Mouse to swoop over and land on her arm. Despite her obvious eagerness at learning more about all the creatures, she didn't want to appear overly eager, so decided to wait until someone else brought their owl to the front first.

Aderyn agreed with Gaia's summation of why half-fae and larger fairies could not safely or efficiently use their wings for longer periods of time, nodding as Gaia addressed the crowd. When Gaia finished, Aderyn nodded, waving the other girl off as she went to get out of her wings. In the meantime, she moved off stage.

"Feel free to keep asking questions, everyone! I'll just be over here!"

She moved over toward where Emmy was sitting and took a seat herself, sighing in relief.

"No matter how many times I speak up in class, I still get nervous in front of large groups!"

Millie sat down and opened her notebook past the fairy section and wrote "Owls" at the top of the page. Cleo started pacing and Millie scooped her up and said, "Cleo, if you can't behave, I'll have to take you back to the common room." She pulled out a few treats and a toy mouse and placed them on the ground to distract her cat.

Emmy smiled as Aderyn joined her again, reaching out and squeezing her hand.

"You may have been nervous, but you did very well. You didn't seem nervous at all!"

Once Gaia mentioned owls, Emmy looked around for Elfie, who had ridden down to the room on her back (as she'd been in her cat animagus form). She spotted him high up in one of the trees of the enchanted room, and she whistled a distinct, four-note melody she'd trained him to respond to. Immediately, the little owl let out an excited hoot and swooped out of his tree towards her, zooming around her and Aderyn's heads a few times before fluttering down onto her outstretched hand, hooting happily. Emmy laughed, reaching out and scratching the owl under his soft chin affectionately.

Aderyn laughed as Elfie circled her and Emmy, hooting softly. She watched as he landed in Emmy's hand and leaned down to get a closer look at him.

"D'you think he'd mind fluttering up to the owlery and bringing Hygieia down here? There's a treat in it for him if he does..."

She winked at the little owl, reaching out to gently scratch his head.

Gaia charmed her wings away and came back to do some quick announcements. "Hi everyone! Just wanted to tell you a few things before I go to the hut and get the gear for our next session. Tomorrow we will begin our work with owls and learning more about these beautiful creatures." At that moment a few hoots from the owls on the branches broke the silence "I guess I am not the only one excited!" Gaia laughed and continued with the announcements "We will be having another trivia game with some added fun things for February! Make sure to keep your notes handy!" Gaia looked at the piece of parchment on her hand "After owls we will be discussing winged horses! I think that is it for now. I want to thank Aderyn () for being our guest speaker and helping us understand fairies better! If you all have any questions feel free to ask them or write them down for our next session!"
