((ooc: For me, it became having to carry on because I was missing too much school. I've gotten used to them as sad as that is. There are times though that I cry and am upset at having to lay down because it got the better of me. I also have degenerating discs so I have those pains too. But its a battle that sometimes gets me down.))

( This was the first time a professor was like that. I think he didn't like me in general. He was very judgmental. I'm making sure I never take a class with him again.)

( That's tough. My dean and advisors actually wanted me to take a medical leave this term, but my tuition would triple if I were to fall behind. I've been trying to take less advil/excedrine for my migraines. The days I wake up without a migraine are so nice. Makes me feel so fresh and new. Do you get migraines everyday?)

(yeah, i've had some migraines for weeks at a time. Be careful. Advil, exderine can rip your stomach up and also make rebound migraines too. I tend to take meds for a day or two and then suffer without any meds for other days. Cold clothes and ice packs on the base of your neck or forehead can really help. I'm always happy to help talk about them or be support. )

Magnus readied himself, bowed and used the smoke spell without speaking so Aderyn's spell missed him. Then he shot off the disarming spell which had her wand soaring off.

(ooc: thought you'd like to rp the hits/ next few spells :))

Aderyn stepped up to the line again and faced Magnus. After a quick bow, she was ready to go. She'd barely raised her want at Beth's signal when Magnus shot a disarming charm at her and she was hit, dropping her wand. With a yelp, she picked it up, firing a full-body bind curse at Magnus, missing him entirely in her haste.

He shot off the impediment jinks but it failed and Aderyn's hit him. Then he waved his wand and said "Stupify," which seemed to have worked. But his shield charm didn't and he fell backwards as Aderyn's spell hit him. (I think thats current now. So er... I'm fine with Tails still)

The duel went more easily this time than it had with Lyn the first time, and before long she was well into it, having had a good volley of spells back and forth with Magnus. As Magnus cast a shield charm, Aderyn's wand work was quick and she set off a stunning spell, watching it hit Magnus. She didn't take the time to celebrate her well-aimed spell just yet, however, as the duel was not quite over.

Aderyn's spell hit him and he fell over on the mats. Damn, he'd lost. Still it was a wonderful duel and there was nothing to be ashamed of, even if he was a little disappointed.

From today onward, you will no longer be considered beginners, but rather novice duelists. Please accept these as symbols of your hard work and effort."

Magnus bowed to both Lyn and Aderyn ( ). "Wonderful job ladies. It was a pleasure." He was even more touched as Beth presented them with prizes and blushed deeply. All in all he felt rather proud of himself. "Thank you for hosting the duel, Beth."

Aderyn smiled brightly at her friends as Beth announced the outcome of the duel. She shook hands with Lyn and Magnus in turn, graciously accepting the participation prizes from Beth as they were handed out.

"YEEEAAAAAAHHHHH" Gaia was whistling and clapping "Way to go everyone!!!" Gaia had to admit dueling was a lot of fun when it wasn't her getting hit. Her friends had gotten really good at dueling.
