But really I read your rant - there actually was complaining about spoilers making the post unwelcoming? Fine, leave all spoilers be there will be two options: information lacking or CLUTTERED posts. Seriously all past releases (for some of us quite a few), batch and artist information, notes or additional information nobody may be interested in should absolutely be just thrown at any reader in their full glory. Organizing your post is sooo elite how dare you. LOL.

But I don't get how people get so worked up about all this. Yes I have been missing out on quite a few of these milkshakes I wanted. And nobody seems to sell them, which I totally woudn't do myself if I had them. Still I don't see a reason to be angry at you because I'm asleep at the wrong times / post too slow / everyone else is faster. It's ironic how everyone pissed will tell you that it's just a few pixels and that it's too expensive and that you should therefore preferably lose money by giving out free copies to everyone and don't feel so special because you have released a CW and at the same time they whine about how they don't have this or that and how it's unfair. Because for you as a releaser paying actual money on this it's just a few pixels, but for them wanting the item it's not just pixels, but the center of the universe. Don't let the hate get to you personally. You try to make things available and still valuable, you are polite and obviously have great taste or otherwise there would be no hype. Duh. Really I work in retail and get yelled at on a daily basis for ruining someones life because envelopes are out of stock. There is another brand in the same size, even cheaper? Still their life is ruined. They don't know how to properly use their printer? I personally ruined their life for not explaining it better to them. Needless to say we don't even sell printers but only paper and toners/cartridges. The list goes on, and people will be idiots everywhere. I can understand everyone who hates losing the pawn shop and is unhappy with quite a few aspects of the releasing process, just not the way some express their frustration. Especially not when this includes obviously blaming someone in particular - openly or just implied in some way. It's your right to release batches however you like. Srsly you could just get ONE single copy and keep it if you liked (not very economical for you wallet but whatever).

Also I've read how ping groups make you elitist and make seem it all unwelcoming. You are welcome to just join public ping groups. Plus I'm not sure how I'd ever fill one batch or sell something without ping groups. For my first few items I just threw them in the CS and never even anounced them on any board. It took ages for them to sell. With more people in my ping group I realize batches filling faster. So yay, ping groups. Everyone is welcome and since they support me they get chances to slot first and sometimes also get discounts and other specials. Yes that's exclusive for the ping group, but since everyone can join...

Wall of text. ^^ In short: carry on and don't take the shitstorm personal. If it wasn't you right now they'd find some other target. Because people always need scapegoats for everything. It's your money spent, so your decision how to release.

Haha to be perfectly honest I only saw one person bring up spoiler tags but it was just such a nitpicky thing to point out among everything else wrong with CW release threads that it stuck with me xD

And it's doubly more confusing as well when some people who are unhappy with the pawn shop closing- sure I understand that you can't fork out $6-7 dollars on a bunch of pixels. But when they say that we are cliquey and release too few batches of our items, and in the same breath says that they would never be willing to spend slot price on just one item then... like why are you complaining if you're not going to buy it even if we make it available for all? I'm just not sure that we as individual releasers can do anything about that shrug

Oh gosh I'm really sorry to hear that :o Some customers can be just awful! their expectations towards shop assistance and retail employees are just ridiculous -.-

I've never been targeted personally or explicitly (And hoping it remains that way!) its just when people on the forums complain about 'things being single batch' and having 'pinged only in their forum titles' and 'saying that people who weren't pinged can't claim' and making it sound like its this attitude thats the reason CWs are failing/people are not buying/we are seen as unwelcoming it makes me feel baaad as these are all things that I am guilty of u_u And I guess it's just hard not to take things personally when you are unable to explain your side of the story.

Yeah that a particular complaint which I couldn't get behind :( If the ping group is public- I don't see what makes it cliquey or elitist at all. I've even read some things that said they didn't want to be pinged by that person. But then... if you didn't want to receive pings from the releaser, don't expect to get first dibs on their CWs??

Anyway sorry for my rant, and thank you for your kind words ^^ <3 I really appreciate all the support that I've been receiving from everyone. If there's a silver lining to all this CW drama bullshit it's that I've read some really nice and supportive posts as well!

okay now that I'm fully awake. forgive me if i'm hard to understand cus it gets really hard for me to speak my mind sometimes ;; I'd like to say THANK YOU so much for the lumi competition. I tried slotting on the milkshake wigs before, of course I missed but that's because I'm slow af. I felt a little disappointed but 5 minutes later I'm back to normal (cus y'know life goes on) then I saw that lumi competition and the chance to get a copy of the spearmint milkshake and i was like !!!!!! and a fun HA competition too (ngl I had fun playing with the wigs, the recolors are awesome).

and the elitist thing... sure, I don't really like the idea of privates and things, but the original idea of CWs was that items were meant to be shared by friends or something along the lines of that & I accept the fact that I'm not gonna get every single CW on subeta. but when there's a PUBLIC group and the item can be slotted by people in the public groups and it's PERFECTLY fine with me. competitions and unlimited specials for the public group? EVEN BETTER. i feel like it's on them if they can't be bothered to type "slot plz" and click the post button __

I can perfectly understand how some items will be to expensive in someones taste. I see items I'd love to have and then consider their price and how often I'd use them. And then I don't want them anymore. xD CWs definitly are expensive if you don't have the money to spend it on subeta or the time and dedication to save up massive amounts of sp. For me personally subeta is a wonderful hobby and HA making is a big part of it. So I have funds for paying rent and food and all the nessecities and then I may have funds left for hobbies and fun. I like to spent most of that on drawing/crafting supplies and subeta. Some may rather spend it on real life fashion (compare my RL wardrobe with my subeta one... it's existant if you are putting it kindly) or go clubbing and whatever else. But I've actually read how it's unfair for people with lower income if they can't afford CWs. It's unfair if they can't afford food and clothes in REAL life. Still it'd not be unfair if they can't afford designer clothes which CWs basically represent. I'd love if CWs were cheaper, but subeta is a business and they need money to survive too. Just be happy that some idiots are willing to fork out $$ to support this hobby of yours. I don't think these idiots (aka CW releasers) should have to feel bad to have a special item in the end, just because someone else has other proirities.

With so many ping gruops I see how it can be intimidating to look through them all at first. But if you already are looking at a thread, want an item and have a link to the specific ping group? You can even mute pings! No one is gonna check if you actually GOT a ping for the item as long as you were in the group at that time. At least on my end, even if you just joined I'll add you for a slot.

So far I only met nice people when dealing with CWs. Willing to explain things, being friendly and supportive. Guess I either have blind spot where the drama happenes or just randomly happened to evade it. shrugs

Indeed I know how you feel, a few years ago I was totally bummed out because of so many beautiful things that were private and forever out of my grasp. but the CW market has been steamrolling on for like... maybe 4-5 years now? :o And there've been so many beautiful public items released that I'm starting to forget about the privates (And besides... tastes change, things I wanted 2 years ago may not be things I want today) So now it's just water off my back if something is private :) That's how people want to release their CWs and well it's their money ^^ I respect that. But yes I really don't understand all the calls of 'cliquey' and 'elitist' when a vast majority of ping groups out there are public including mine x.x I won't lie there were times where after reading some of the salt in the news announcement and in the feedback thread I kinda wanted to pack up shop and keep everything to myself xD Am glad I didn't though!

Read your wall of text and I can relate to how you feel. Me being a new releaser, there is a fine line from too few to too many. I found a happy medium that I decided to try. Batch limit: To be determined. By me. So if a design is popular and 35 people want it I will submit the last 10 in my shop and send invites. That leaves five in my shop and New CW buyers now have a chance to get my CW without paying more money than slot price. Until the five are gone and then it's at the whim of the secondary seller. I too, felt bad to tell buyers it sold out and I asked around that once I put 2 batches in the official post I'll get in trouble if I changed it to 3 so I found that mistake out. So yeah. I don't think I'll be selling too many more CWs for a bit. Should go to my thread and take out my spoiler tags. Lol.

I gave it a shot. Been buying CWs since they first came out and always knew I can't be on 24/7 and there will be some I can't get but in the long run, I'm okay with that.

Don't let people get you down and do what you do best. Keep releasing these lovely CWs.

Ahaha subeta and video games are pretty much my two hobbies for stress relief! And good food but I consider that more of a necessity ;p

Ahh I really do feel for people who don't have the extra money to spend on subeta for one reason or another, I just don't think it's fair for releasers to make even bigger losses just so we can make prices cheaper or make it so they don't have to as much for one :( That would make us all losers here. And while I do wish it wasn't so expensive to submit a CW (I remember all the way back when subeta first announced CWs and I was like HOLY CRAP $50 TO SUBMIT AN ITEM JFC THATS EXORBITANT) I remember arguing strongly against it in fact! Of course now we've all accepted that as a way of life and learned to work around it xD Just can't help thinking that if subeta dramatically decreases the price to submit CW that would definitely make a dent in their income :/

Yup there sure are alot of ping groups on site, but I started out by joining customwear and have been slowly adding myself to various releasers ping groups as time goes. Unpopular opinion time: I don't think anyone should or will get the hang of CWs immediately, like any hobby it takes time- browsing CWs, interacting with people (even something as simple as 'slot plz'), and they'll be a pro very quickly! Its just because there's so many of it.

Oh yes I know, I've been racking my brains to think of where all these accounts of terrible experiences with CW sellers could come from, but I just can't think of any. Everyone has just been so nice here. (Like even when I'm being told something is private they are very nice about it) and tbh all the super elite private shit don't even make it to the public forums in the first place cause I sure have never seen them up for slotting!

Next time I'll probably release it at a different time, just for a change up as I always do :)

Ah yes I'm still finding that happy medium hard to get T_T I used to have a few releases in the past where I put 2 batches as tentative and couldn't even fill one which made me go like 'yikes better reduce the batch count then' and then there was the milkshakes lolol. Gahh sorry to hear that happened to you though :( It can be hard to tell buyers that something is sold out but sometimes we just have no choice but to do just that 😭

Yeah I check my WL every once in a while to take some stuff off cus I lost interest in it x: or put the private items/expensive ones into another WL just to look at ^^ It feels good to take some stuff out of my WL cus I think "yay that's 1 less item to worry about and spend money on."

I read the comments on the pawn shop announcement and the pawn shop thread. I was about to release my bunny doll and maybe future releases as private because of some of the comments are just rude, but then I'd only have 2 other people to share it with. feelsbadman ; -- ;

Yep I tend to do the same just because I want to declutter my WL and actually make it a reference point to buy things from :) I also have a separate private WL haha cause there have been a few occasion where I find people selling things I previously thought were unobtainable, or y'know...people selling public copies so anything is possible ^^

I'm sorry the comments have gotten to you too T_T I just think some of those posts were made without considering that CW releasers are not a hive mind, we are people with feelings too :( And it was even less pleasant having the blame for the CW community dying thrown back in our faces. IKR?! i JUST found out yesterday after making a small suggestion on a thread but i got a response saying they'd considered but decided against it because some users were uncomfortable with them?? and then i saw a couple more people around talking about how spoiler tags are hindering. ;A ; ?? THEY TAKE UP MORE SPACE THAN NECESSARY ?? the irony. we have it set up on our thread so if an item is filled and we're putting in a newer item, we put previous item's slots in a spoiler so it doesn't clutter. it's easy to start skimming especially with a whole lot of text, i do it too! and all you gotta do is click on it if you're curious and you can always close it back up ?? it costs nothing but a glance :c a lot of times people have it written on what the spoiler's about anyways.

i'm so happy for you that you decided to start up your group again and release stuff! ^w^ i look forward to seeing more stuff from you but NO RUSH because... honestly i'm secretly thankful and praying that approvals take longer so i have more time to get csc because clearly i have no impulse control and slotted on waayyy too many things OTL hAHdhaasdHA
