Malticorn could be uber-cute but it gets no love. Even the bloodred looks more like it had an accident with red paint than it does bloodthirsty. Poodle-corn needs love. Clawison could use some love and attention too, sad little pets.

The hipottu is my favorite species! I have eight of 'em... though since my pets are all hidden atm I suppose that doesn't mean much orz;; Still, I love the winged hippo babies. I don't even have much of an interest in hippos IRL so I have absolutely no I idea how this happened ?? They're just so darling, the artist does a wonderful job with them. Ah, I also have two mallarchies! And.. four ontras, two of which are colorfills (though I'm hoping to change that once more revamps happen.) And my battle pet is a mortiking! c:

The ontra went quite a while without an artist, since the previous artist for the species quit several years ago, back before storm, sweetheart, and steamwork came out. She also did the keeto, celinox, and paralix, which I believe Rah said have all been assigned artists now? Offsite, in response to a tumblr ask, IIRC she said that the pets that were up for trial for a new artist have been assigned artists and haven't been forgotten about. They just haven't gotten much attention yet, unfortunately... though the paralix did come out in steamwork, a few years back. That's.. something?

From a new colors perspective, not counting the pets that used to belong to the artist who quit... it seems super rare to get new bovynes, though we did get the sweetheart one this year. I'd almost forgotten about the species tbh. From a user perspective, I never see bovynes around really... or my beloved hipottus. :c It's ok you beautiful species, I will give you the love you deserve...

I don't see many serpenths honestly, the only one I have ever seen is my Genesio. Other than that I swear I've never seen someone else with one lol.

I'm not a huge fan of the Charlie, but that thing desperately needs to be tackled and redone. It has looked the same since I since up 10 years ago, haha!

I also really quite like the Bovyne, and the Chelon -- the Chelon has really lovely art!

I have two Serpenths! Pythonn and KLLK.

I feel like a lot of the aquatic animals get left in the cold.

I thought Serpenths were pretty popular? I have Healthcare and Glasgow Smile, anyway.

I don't see a lot of Koras, and though I don't own one, I do think they're still cute. Remind me of a Pokemon or something. x3

Unfortunately, our artists don't just do pets; they draw other things, like items. And like most art projects, sometimes it can just take forever to complete because of complexity. Think that's why the angelic neela has yet to appear; it's a large species and having to put wings on it means there's little room for a creative pose literally (I swear that 200x200 canvas bugs me to death). ;P

I'm such a Sheeta fanboy, my very first pet was a Sheeta. They're so pretty!

As for neglected species, I really want to see new Bowvynes. I love cows, haha. And perhaps a revamped/more colors for the Dragarth, and Magnus. c:

My top 3 fave species get a lot of love (and 2 of them have the same artist loool), but my other fave... DEMIS 8( Demi demi. I lost my mind at the nightmare demi, though I don't think I'll get one? The Angelic is my fave. They're just so cute, I remember them being my favorite pet when joined the site 9 years ago oh god

I'm desperately hoping that the Bovyne will someday get included in the new Harvest color. My own Bovyne is going to be a Harvest Moon fanpet and what color could possibly be more appropriate?

I actually didn't really care for Bovynes at all until I adopted Bluefeather. Now I think they're one of the most underrated pets on the site! They would definitely benefit from a revamp to make them a little more stylized, though.

Im sure it's been said, but the Celinox has been getting ignored for some time...I dont think they have a storm color or a red or silver color..If they are so popular then why arent they getting more colors? I have almost every special color of that thing.

Is it just me, or do they have more pets than they did a few years ago?
