Ah that loooks sweet. Esp the last guy how he is. Sorry I dont think of these things before. Female- Skin tone like middle east with black hair. Last guy in line is white with mid brown hair. Other two be my guest. No facial tho but didnt even think that would show in the detail but to be clear now. Colors of cloth being sunshine yellow with plain grey armor. Its kind of like they are holy knights. Witch can you give muscle guy a simple helmet and a sword in his right hand then the female a sheathed sword?
Never been thanked for being a pain to someone. Really glad you took on the job since you dont do many humans.
Oh okay sorry! I think I got confused by the title and thought the sP slot was open haha.
- I'll take the bribe since I figure that would be around what I would commission you for as is anyways with this piece. You go above and beyond my expectations pretty often ^ ^
Form Character Name: Ixy - Tree with birdcage and sparkles/auras/dots/mist/whatever ^ ^ Character Ref: Tree ideas for inspiration: Purple Robe Jacaranda Crepe Myrtle - Come in many colors Magnolia Tree Japanese Maple Tree
Bird Cage ideas for inspiration: Lower Left Corner Spherical in middle Middle left, Far Right Colour?: Up to you Other Info**: I'm not sure how much a tree you think will work for this, but if you could, keep in mind I will use this for profile graphics. If you want to use a more naked or barren tree, go for it! I was just throwing color and ideas at you. Maybe even flowers that aren't blooming? Next, in regards to the birdcage, I find round, slightly oval or tear/pear (especially tear/pear) shapes to be very very aesthetically pleasing. You have artistic freedom galore on this, especially with the "death" aspect :) Type***: sP / CSC / USD: USD - Bribe
Please let me know if you have any questions dear heart! I look forward to this piece so much ^ ^ Like I might make my own desktop background with it :)
Ok, other random inspiration hit! What about a birdcage with a stand and the ground is rocks or concrete and there are flowers growing up through the cracks? Inspiration Imagery ...or maybe we could do it with a brick wall with flowers growing out of it? I like the idea of throwing in subtle imagery that while Ixy cannot survive without her magic other life can grow in the oddest of places?
;; Ha-ha, thanks! Good luck with your stalking! ^^
;; Ah, it's okay - sorry the title confused you! I've thought about changing it, but never quite got that far. Maybe it's time to think again, ha-ha~
;; Ha-ha, what can I say? Sometimes extra pain is just a sign of growth. That said, this isn't a pain as much as a challenge, and I enjoy those on occasion. ~ Anyway, I'm glad you like it so far! & don't worry about not having considered all the details - asking questions is a part of my job. d:
This is with the added details:
Let me know if the edits look alright, and if so I'll move forward. (:
;; Okay! So to start off I have to say that this is a really interesting character, and to be honest you had me at youkai. Now, there was a lot of text to sort through, so I can only hope that I got everything right (and if not, then please let me know!) -
There might still be anatomical quirks to sort out, but this is the basic idea. Please let me know what you think, what you might want changed, or whatever else that's on your mind! ^^
Oh, and I can use a looser style if you want, no problem! It'll probably look good on this type of character anyway ~ (:
Well Ill try not to challenge you everytime. :) Is the guy in the back happy? Id like him to me just cant tell. Sides that yea, everything looks great.
I know slots are full at the moment. But I'm wondering if you'd be ok with drawing couples? Like with armor and weapons? I stalked your thread a bit and saw that you're good at drawing armor in general and I'm considering to stalk your thread for a sP slot once you open slots again, I just figured it would be good to know the price beforehand for 2 fullbodies with armor and weapons because that probably will add to the price? ^^'

OOH i'm so excited, they look great so far! i know there was a LOT of text (which probably should've prompted me to write the info in a separate doc the first time around so i wouldn't keep loosing it lol) and it was probably overwhelming, but you definitely managed to put shape to what i was picturing in my mind :D
i do like the pose – i especially appreciate seeing their face in full – but ahh i'm not sure what but something's got me not entirely satisfied with it. maybe it's because you don't see as much of the side of the body at that angle, so that eye set isn't as visible? which in and of itself isn't a big deal, but since i don't have refs for them specifically other than what i've sketched it'd be nice to have some clearer art of it. but then again i don't want to make you scrap the entirety of what you have to adjust the pose D: so i guess just do as you wish?
ACTUALLY there is one other thing that is hopefully an easier change – while the horns won't spiral as much as a sheeta's, would you be able to draw them as more of a full loop? and then also have the ears still coming down a little straighter, but keep some of the buoyancy that you originally drew them with since i do like that? i did another lil sketch example for the horns at least (no pretty floaty ears here) but if they could keep that sort of shape to kind of mimic the hair loops in that human character design it'd be fantastic!! (ok sorry one more thing the longer i look at it – could i also see what they'd look like with a sheeta nose?)
SORRY i'm a lil embarrassed since this is like another text wall (i like to think of it as erring on the side of thoroughness?) but i REALLY appreciate how well you've worked with my descriptions!! thank you soo much i love seeing their quad version come to life :3
;; Ha-ha~ Yeah, his mood is pretty upbeat & chill. (: But great! Then I'll finish them up & let you know when I'm done!
;; Hi! (: I usually hesitate doing multiple characters - especially interacting ones - because I'm afraid they tend to turn out a bit stiff. If that's a risk the commissioner is willing to take though, I'm happy to give it a go. (Nothing like pushing limits, right?) Price-wise it's pretty straight forward - two characters = double the base price + the extra details fee per character w/extra details (if both have armour &/or weaponry, then it's extra for both). So basically FBx2 + Extra Details Fee x2 = (125m sP x2) + (20m sP x2) = 290m sP / 6000 CSC. Hope that helps! In any case, thanks for posting & your interest! ^^
;; Glad I managed to sort through it all with general accuracy! :'D
I can definitely see where you're coming from, as the eyes seem like a pretty imporant detail. In the first sketch I did their body was turned more sideways, but it looked so static & dead, so I felt there was a need for more of an angle.
Anyway, here's the sketch with the changes you asked for plus another one for good measure (with side-eyes a bit more visible):

(I did forget to add the floral pattern on the second one's side, but that's easy to add on if you prefer that version.)
The goal here is to get this character as accurate as a loose design can be, so don't worry about thinking out loud. (: Let me know what comes to mind!
OHHHMM that second pose is absolutely gorgeous!! i definitely liked the first one for the angle like you said (i can't draw anything at an angle for the life of me and i agree poses can look pretty static w/o one) and i get how it'd be tricky to avoid having them completely sideways and still show their eyes. i think you did a great job balancing that in the second pose. a little touch of the floral design would be perfect, but it doesn't need a lot of it. i think the changes in the angle of the head makes a huge difference as well, like i get a much stronger impression of the character in the second (plus the extra fur around the neck is a little more evident!)
thanks so much for your willingness to let me think this out as i see it haha. i'm still pondering over the nose, but as i think it over could i see one more change (in the second, i'd love to go with that pose)? again, i'm not sure how easy this is especially with the sides being a bit crowded, but if you could make a little more of a curve down towards the belly in the side horns i'd love to compare how that would look. i think after that i'll be able to decide and then give you the go ahead. all in all, it looks spectacular already u
Thanks for letting me know ^^ You'll probably see me around soon when I catch an open slot ^^

;; No problem! I'll look forward to seeing you around! ^^
;;
I did the colouring very loose, yet tried to keep it sensible-looking. Let me know if that's something close to what you had in mind? (:
;;
Getting the pose right can be one of the trickiest things when it comes to drawing - especially when perspective comes into play! It's usually worth the struggle in the end though, if/as it makes the image that much more interesting. (:
I curved the side-horns down a bit - let me know what you think! ^^
perfect!!! ^^
as for the nose, i think i've decided on the second version... so more a sheeta/sheep nose than a bull's i guess!
i realized i never asked about payment – does that happen now or after it's colored? will you need my paypal info to send an invoice or should i send payment myself? just lmk, i wanted to make sure i checked in :3
;; Great! Then I'll move forward & get back to you when it's done! ^^
As for payment, I usually take it after you've approved of the final preview (which is a screenshot of the picture w/a solid [usually white] background). Upon payment you will receive the actual file w/a transparent background. Generally people tend to send me the payment themselves, but if you prefer to do it any other way then I'm sure we can adapt to that. (:
Yea. Looks great. Just the last guys face still seems off. Im sorry. Just not seeing it.
EDIT: Did that on my phone so kept it short but to further go into it. It looks like his face is a rectangle and his eyes seems kind of off. Then the mouth seems...off. Sorry. All I can really think about it. He doesnt seem happy in it but like..I dont know.
sounds good!! I'm fine with sending payment myself, I just wondered b/c I've know some artists prefer to send invoices because of some rule paypal has? idk the details about that though, I've paid for art using both methods in the past. for now I'll just hold off and let you move forward! c:
;;
No problem - it was somewhat of a stylised angle. What about this?
;; Hm? I should probably look into that. Paypal is beyond confusing (honestly I'm still learning how to use it), and whilst I know there are guidelines against getting ripped off (both for seller & buyer) most of my commissioners tend to just send payment their own way. Off-site I would probably send invoices (though I've never actually been commissioned outside of Subeta before), but on-site I've just gone with the flow up to this point. orz
Anyway, let me know what you think!
;; A flurry of sketches coming up!
With & without stand, with & without the tree actually interacting with the cage, with & without cracks behind the tree (as if it has grown up against a broken wall), just to give you an idea as far as variation goes. We can mix & match as you please from here. (:
Im down for that. Thank you. How much all together? Always impressed by your skill man.
- Oooh trees! I'm not very fond of the trees with the cracks in the wall but I really like the lower left corner, including the cage being hung up. I love the choice of yellow leaves as well! I think that will offer a lot of potential of graphic palettes! Is it possible to reduce the number of leaves though? Perhaps not fully into the swing of Spring but a little bit earlier? I think it might help reduce the distraction from the cage.
Are the bright green slots going to be the motes/speckles/dots of the death part btw? :)
If you need some color inspiration for that part, this is what Ixy looks like :)
;; Superb! I'm really glad you're satisfied. Let's say $40! I'll go wrap it up right away (:
;; Just covering all bases. (: Glad you have a favourite though! I'll work from that then. And yeah, reducing the number of leaves is fine. I'll give the tree a modest number of leaves/shoots, and then you can let me know when it's 'done' whether you want to add any more. ~
The colours so far were mostly for sketching purposes, though I did like the idea of yellow leaves. We'll stick to that then! And yeah, the [currently] green dots are supposed to be the sparkles/aura[s]/general magic, but they'll look better when I get to work, I promise! xD That said, would you like them to be more... I suppose gloomy (for 'death'), or rather like particles/essence of 'life' sort of 'slipping away'? Or just very tied to Ixy's own palette? (It'll probably make a big difference regarding which colour[s] I use for them.) Anyway, because Ixy is has a purple/blue palette I'll probably use that along with the yellow, which will give a nice contrast, being complimentary colours & all. I might also bring in some [bright] green, as it's basically the colour of life, but I'll see how it all looks when I start putting things together. ^^
