Oh, I totally get that; I've got a similar thing going with music (drawing too, but moreso with music). Overthinking is a big problem for me though, and it completely knocks my hands out. The more I zone out, the better I do things. It's also important to remember that developing a skill takes time (which sucks when you're impatient, but you know /coughs), and regardless of how you define Good, you can always get a little better, and if you keep focusing on that those betters will stack up in the long run. ~

Yes, practice definitely makes perfect. I think I'd have better luck with one of those tablets that that have a screen so there's not so much of a disconnect. With the tablet I have it feels like drawing blindfolded which doesn't produce great results

Oh, I'd love to try one of those one day! Most of the artists I look up to seem to have one (laughs) I've got a Wacom Intuos Pro, so that's one of the ones with a disconnect. Been using this kinda tablet for eleven+ years though, so I'm kinda used to it. (laughs)

I think one of those would really help fix my issues with digital art. I currently have an old bamboo tablet, at the time it was the only one I could find in store locally. I've had it for years, though I haven't spent a lot of time fiddling with it, because I like to look where my hand is drawing. Every time I lifted my pen I spent a good five minuted trying to figure out how to draw another line, it was worse when I wanted the lines to intersect
