Hey there! Sorry for the delay!! So I was wondering if you'd be up for a low pressure fun thing, with the caveat that I don't have a ref. I'd love to commission a painted floof for my pet Expanse, a space fox, but don't have a firm design in mind. So definite permission to go crazy with the color gradients and such!

If not, I'd go for a painted floof of my main Chocolaterie, who has a design. I'll complete an app for both, and you can see what you feel like! :D

Would you be comfortable with drawing a Serpenth (well it's more like a giant space snake devouring the sun in this case)? By my definition those are not exactly quads, so I thought asking in advance would be better, just in case. :)

There is also an asteroid called Apophis and of course the Stargate SG1-character, so space is a good theme binding all of these different Apophis' together, I guess! ;) Style: Painted Quad Personality/Pose Suggestion/Other Info: I would love to get something similar to the reference picture I posted above - so pretty much a giant space snake devouring the sun. I really like the head-shape in that example as well, more of a mix between the head of a snake and a cobra-skull. No Serpenth-mane on him please and I'll leave it to you if you would like to add wings or not. Would be cool to have his body somehow dissolve into space dust or make it look like he forms out of space dust. Free / Square Canvas: Squarish would be nice, as I plan to use it as a custom overlay. Yeaaah, right, I was a little afraid he would be... well not impossible, but at least quite a challenge to translate into an overlay - what really helped was your statement that you love space critters, otherwise I might have never dared to ask! :)

Actually you can interpret the sun as you like - I was thinking maybe more like a ball of bright light or a bright star than a fireball though?

I do really love the colors, but it would be fun to see a bit wider color scheme. Maybe some purples in there? (Even deep purples.) The ref was mostly just to inspire a little. I'm definitely going to tie it in a bit, but doesn't have to be straight ref. :)

Looks amazing so far apart from the fin-like things on the side of his body - I think that's maybe meant to be the skeletal part of my reference? If so, you can leave that away, a rather simple spacy snake-body is completely fine for me. Also feel free to make the eye still a bit more narrow/meaner! :D

I love the dynamic pose, though, cool idea to make his body itself be some sort of background for the bright maw/head area!
