Ahhhhhh 3 days left!!!! And they've released two teasers with very troubling new content I'm so nerVOUS for mAX
Actually I feel like it's closer to 2 days left because the episodes are released at a different time than usual, so it's a few hours before midnight that's it's usually released for me anyways. And the trailer comes out tomorrow!
Oh also, have you heard about the dialogue that's cut out of each episode? It brings a lot more character development and foreshadowing than I thought it would. Like the trailer for episode 4 used some dialogue that was cut from the episode itself.

So exciting :D I promised the bae to wait to play with her though :( avoiding tumblr spoilers will probably kill me lol are you going to play it right away?
And I have heard little snippets? Particularly Nathan's in episode 1. The cut dialogue from the Chloe shooting was very interesting. I also really like the side by side analysis on YouTube where your actions cause a very different tone of voice to appear. And that's interesting! I'll have to watching the trailer again!!
If I can. I had so much trouble with Episode 4 though; it was buggy as hell and I literally could not do anything in the game. I couldn't grab anything mainly, so I watched NukemDukem's Twitch livestream of it (he chose a lot of things I did) instead and played it later.
So yeah, I'll definitely try to play it. If not, watching is cool, too. I'm SOOOO freaking excited!!! Plus the trailer teasers or whatever, the last couple showed Max tied in the chair and on the floor, like Kate was. Jefferson is such a creep 😖

D: that sounds awFUL! I hope episode 5 goes way better for you!!
And omg yes it's so creepy. There was no weeping in the background this time which makes me curious if Victoria is there too. But yeah, ugh, Jefferson is so gross :( I'm not looking forward to the finale at all ;^;
IT'S OUT NOW OH MY LORD GABEN

ALL MY EMOTIONS ARE SCREAMING OMGGGGGG THIS IS GOING TO BE MADNESS HOLY POPSICLE STICKS
I was sorta hoping for more, but I knew it would end like this. It was emotional, and a helluva ride. I hope there is a season 2 coming out, but what would that entail? Supposedly it would have a whole new cast, and I'm attached to this current one.

Episode 5 spoiler
Mark Jefferson is the single creepiest person I have ever seen. I seriously can't even comprehend the levels of creepy in episode 5. What a pervert.
I heard that they've been pretty strapped for cash and pushed to do a faster release which is unfortunate but probably also why it didn't feel as complete as it could have. Nevertheless, it has been quite a ride and yes, while in a way we knew it was all coming, god I really wished it didn't hahaha. They are definitely interested in doing more with Max and Chloe from what I heard through the grapevine but I am definitely curious to know what exactly the have planned since obviously there are two very divergent canons.
Oh most definitely. To be honest though, I did hope that they would do more with the Prescotts. There could have been some really intense bad juju if Nathan's father was more involved. And Nathan ended up being such a miserably sad character. I wish he got much more of a redemption than what was given to him. Having it all focus on Jefferson really took the cake in how disgusted I felt. I think it's really great how they were able to pull that much emotion out of the entire fandom. That shows just how powerful their storytelling has been!
I honestly can say that I've.... had a situation with a similar person. It was very realistic to me, but I'd still prefer to see him in jail getting, according to Sublime: 'butt-***** by a large inmate.' Heh.
I KNEW IT I KNEW IT WAS AN OVERDOSE AND NATHAN DID IT HAHA! Yup. But the endings are so different; one is the Warren/Max ship, and the other is the 'Pricefield' ship. And I know what I would have chosen, and what I would do after that. I couldn't live with myself because I would feel responsible for anyone's death either way.

hahahahaha I'm glad you got it right :D I didn't think it was Nathan because his reaction when Max walked up to him was such pleasant excitement. And yeah, the choice is really interesting. Especially since, as a character, Max has literally gone through hell and back to save Chloe. It's a very very bitter pill to take. The cost of one life. At the expense of at least a hundred others.
I completed this last week!! The last episode was messed up.
Spoilers about ending, I just had some thoughts....
SPOILER (click to toggle)
The ending suggests we were mislead from the beginning for a greater purpose-- a purpose which does not align with the objectives set forth by the hours of gameplay. There's something called an Unreliable narrator in literature, which is often used for dramatic effect, twist endings, subverting things we had known to be true, making us re-evaluate an experience, etc.
What fell apart here was the lack of communication from the writers, because we didn't have anything that they COULD subvert by Episode 5. We only had questions. The twists about the mystery happen and remain unchanged; Jefferson did stuff, helped Nathan do stuff, Rachel Amber is dead, but the loose ends remain. At the end, they have to "subvert" something they never even addressed at all (Max's mysterious powers)-- you can imagine why that would be unsatisfying, because everyone felt like these were arbitrary aspects of the story (the game mechanic), and didn't matter as far as progression was concerned.
Who wants to play a game of dodgeball and have the rules change at the very end? It's not very sportsmanlike. I think the video game industry needs to think about the consequences of attempting amitious, complex stories within the confines of a game mechanic that may not allow for the nuanced outcomes we're used to today. An ultimatium was always going to be too black and white. (Photo pun?)
You can say what you want of foreshadowing. In the beginning, we see an ominous vision/dream of the storm, before the credits, and before we save Chloe. I assumed the storm was a thing with or without her, because chronologically, it took place before, so I reasoned it was a metaphor for Jefferson or the Prescotts. (Jefferson is traveling the country school to school, leaving victims in his wake...)
If I'm wrong, the only mistake I made was assuming the storm represented something we had to stop, like everyone else, and like the game invited us to do, by giving us superpowers following a vision of imminent apocolypse. The Storm was caused by our time shenanigans, I know. But Chloe has to die in that bathroom because the alternative is a world where we have powers, Jefferson has no powers, yet is virtually invincible and kills five kids?
