: I do agree that you are a strong person. Dealing with hardships is very difficult and you are still going on. hugs I can't even imagine how hard it must have been for you to lose him. I wouldn't even know what I would do if I would lose my boyfriend. I am really happy that you at least have this one friend that is there for you. And I hope you feel a bit better after sharing this with us.

Thank you so much and hugs to you as well. I know what you mean when you say that you don't know what you'd do if you lost him. I never thought I'd be in this position (and I was usually the one who ended relationships, so I don't know much about being left behind). It seems it took me forever to find Joe, so I thought it would last a LONG time. I didn't think he'd die at only 55, which is very young. I thought we'd be together til we were 100. He was young (and I was too, only 56 at the time) but then I feel that I aged a LOT (which seems ironic now) in the 3 1/2 yrs since then. Well thank you for saying I'm strong. I think some people might have "cashed it in" if you know what I mean, but that's not my way. I've lost most of my faith, but I'm trying to restore a little bit of hope. Thanks again! :) And you're right, it does feel better to talk about it a bit.

Thanks so much, you're definitely kind and friendly people. I wonder if National Unity is responsible for that. I realize that your country has different areas, different languages and (I suppose) different traditions. Still I think that many "old world" countries seem to have more solid unity (which I think contributes to many good qualities) than what I experience with people of the US. There are SO many different cultures here (and I am not knocking that, I think cultural melting pots are fascinating) but I seem to notice that there's a different attitude among people from the US than what I experience from Europeans (and others). I generally feel more "at home" with those who are not from my own country. Well I'm different, I guess.

Anyway, I truly appreciate your kindness and support. I'm sitting out today, as I'm not feeling up to a sports theme. I haven't slept much in the past couple days, so I haven't been online much. I keep resting and hoping I'll sleep. So far it's been a one or 2 hour nap here and there, and a lot of watching Netflix. I hope you're having a good day, or I guess I should say evening, since I realize your day is nearly over. :)
