I was curious to know if there was any Steven Universe fans here tucked away in Subeta. :) I'd love to talk about the show, and favorite characters, and what not.

However, I confess she may come in second place when Yellow Diamond shows up someday. That 2-3 second reveal at SDCC made everyone go wild.

It's so hard to choose a favorite. Favorite character is totally Greg.

Favorite gem? I love all of them too much to choose! As of now...Jasper, Pearl, Lapis and Garnet are top. It definitely varies by episode.

I am totally in love with Steven Universe. It is such an amazing magical show. My favorite character is Pearl, even though the whole fandom is hating on her all the time. She is a complicated character and I love that about her. There is so much that is obvious she has not come to terms with and it makes her real, she shows that its not that easy to get over certain situations in life. I also love her quirky personality when it comes to cleaning and taking care of Steven. She reminds me of myself with how over protective she is with Steven, im the same way with my daughter.

I also have a deep soft spot for Lapis Lazuli, I just want the girl to be happy, she deserves it, but at the same time, I really want to know her back story and how she got trapped in the mirror, i mean did she do something wrong, was it punishment, or did someone just say 'hey you get to be in a mirror forever' I need to know these things!

Def one of my top shows of all time!

I gotta say that my favorite character of all is Steven himself; he's such a refreshing child character to see on television. Most kids on television act like they're either small adults walking around waiting for a punchline or an idiot who manages to survive by the mere will of the universe. He's a smart kid and a genuine sweetheart but it's done realistically! Kids don't know everything! They learn because they're still learning the world and Steven has /two/ worlds to learn and the show is very careful to show this progression. Plus, his interactions with everyone around him are definitely the highlight of the show for me (esp Garnet!). I'm really excited to see more interactions between him and Lapis or Peridot. Lapis is bit of a terrifying character if you really think about it, and to have someone with that much desperation and power dedicated to protecting a small half-human child (that she spent only a day tops with) is terribly interesting to me. I also hope that he starts to warm Peridot up to him and the gems; I really think Peridot as the Zuko to Steven's Aang would be pretty cute (and hilarious, let's be real).

I watched this show. Tumblr made me do it!!

Well, not quite. I read stuff online about the main story, and a few spoilers, but after joining Tumblr, it became clear that I would have to avoid posts about this show until I've watched it unless I wanted to see even more spoilers. So Tumblr was more motivation for something I was already considering.

It's so colourful and nice and cute and interesting and emotional and has a good story and I love the continuity and how things get referenced and called back to and it's all just so detailed!!

I love that show! My favorite characters are Amethyst, Garnet, Steven, Connie, Greg and Lion. Granted I love them all but these are just the ones I like most.

Garnet will always be my personal favorite. My girlfriend and I are definitely Ruby and Sapphire when it comes to our personalities and we are better together than we are separate. I'm like Ruby because I'm hot headed and I can be irrational and unforgiving while Sam (my girlfriend) is very much like Sapphire because she's cool and collected and reminds me that forgiveness is always the best option.

My favorite character is Garnet (and also Ruby and Sapphire!), but I love all the Crystal Gems. Pearl is so cute and neurotic and I adore her, and Amethyst is my little spitfire insecure baby <333

I'm neutral about Homeworld Gems, except Lapis Lazuli, she's a cutie.

I finished watching all of Steven Universe recently, but I adored it. I saw the SDCC reveal of Yellow Diamond about a week ago. I was so excited! And then my friend told me that it'd been out for weeks and that I was just getting excited over something everyone else was done with. And I was sad. But anyway.

Sugilite is my favourite character, but that might be because I'm biased. I love Nicki. Sardonyx was also amazing.

My favourite Gem is Garnet and I have a soft spot for Lars. tbh I love SU in general ;U; everything is so pretty and the story lines make me happy. I just wish there were more episodes (I'm impatient and greedy for more!).

My favorite character is Amethyst. We're a lot alike.

My favorite used to be Garnet (I loved her so much), but when I think about it I also like Greg. Those 2 are probably my favorites; I also like Connie. I used to dislike Peridot a lot as I have issues with people or characters that are too arrogant, but... with that most recent episode, it was hard to not like her. I often really dislike mean-spirited characters, but it's actually fairly understandable that she's just scared and maybe misled. They gave her a great amount of character insight with the most recent episode. Let us not forget Pearl, the misunderstood, yet very real + realistic character.

I'm glad I started watching it. I had a friend get me into it waaaayyyy back in 2013 when there was only the pilot and a smattering of episodes available. Then it exploded on tumblr. LMAO

Admittedly, I really enjoy Ruby. I identify with her on multiple levels :'>;;;

My favourite characters are a toss between Garnet/Ruby. I'm so so thrilled with the character development the Steven Crewniverse manage to squeeze into 10 minutes. For a children's show, it's certainly got me interested.

I love that show, it only falls short of being my favorite by one other, but it is definitely up there! I love Pearl and I'm so proud of her. Is it weird to be proud of a fictional character? Because I am. She's grown so much and while she obviously has a way to go she really is special. Back to the Barn was a fun episode because I was rooting for her all the way. Though I do feel bad for Peri... I won't spoil anything though. Just let me say one thing: Homeworld seems pretty screwed up. I wonder what Yellow Diamond will think if/when she shows up...

I love this show!!! Garnet and Steven are definitely my favorites.

I love amethyst the most~ She's the most interesting gem to me. I love how outgoing and unapologetic she can be. It's just awesome! I relate to her more than I've related to any other fictional character.

And the soundtrack for SU? I mean..sometimes it gives me chills! They make me feel just as I did when listening to the Spirited Away soundtrack for the first time. It means the world to me that they could give me that feeling again..

I love Ruby and Sapphire, but I think Lapis is my favourite character!! Garnet is a sweetie too, though.

Garnet is my fav, but Peridot grew on me rather quickly... Lion is cool, too.
