I'm actually triggered by this, because it reminds me of unpleasant experiences I had in my personal life, and I'm...seriously displeased. I'm seriously not amused.

Being followed in the dark is my main fear, and every time I go out in the dark, I'm seriously worried I could get robbed, assaulted or killed, and I'm not at ease with being forced into something like that on a site I enjoy.

Maybe see where this is going beyond just this first series of events and then if nothing else I guess just don't participate. I feel badly for you though,I'm sorry you are having these troubles.

Yeah, I tried to go and take it with humor when I saw the first random event, the one I got last night. However, the more of these random events I've seen, the more I felt like this could seriously hurt me in real life.

The one random event that reallt bothered me is not the one I got, but this one.

I come back from work after dark, I really think feeling safe and not paranoid about everyone wanting to kill me > Subeta.

I really tried, and before I saw that specific one, I could have dealt. But, things rushing at me in the dark and me feeling powerless and tired? nty.

I hope it's fun for you, but I'm a little bit annoyed at Subeta.

I think me just not coming on Subeta for a while will be enough.

I do not feel like burdening staff with my mental issues, when I can just avoid the site until Keelhauliday. I would really have liked to have a opt out option, but apparently, that's not a thing, from what I'm hearing. So, my opt out option is going to click the x button and play Splatoon instead.

I can actually completely understand/agree with this being unsettling/upsetting for some users. The RE is very out of the ordinary for Subeta and I know that it's pretty upsetting to get something so creepy and out of the ordinary on something you're not expecting it from. If I'd have gotten the RE before getting the opportunity to read that it was apart of an event, I probably would've freaked out.

That said, you can colour me super intrigued by this event and the direction it's heading. I think I'll end up liking it? I'm excited for my first actual event on this site either way. It'd just be nice if there was an option for people to opt out of the RE's or out of anything else unexpected like that in this event. Also pls no coding jumpscares into the site I would cry.

Yeah, I admit I found the RE I got pretty creepy, and I got it last night before we had all started talking about it so I was like "woah, woah, what the heck is this?!" I don't know, I just think it's probably better for everyone not to start things up without an announcement -- users won't be blindsided, people who need to opt out (even if it's just by staying offline for a while) can do so, and the mods/staff don't have to deal with eight thousand "what's wrong with my HA" threads.

I don't blame you one bit to be honest,I don't know how you travel to get home after work but if you are walking alone to get home then depending on where you are from,the risk of not so good things could already be potentially elevated by the crime rate there but the risk still exists no matter where you are so to add more worry onto it wouldn't make much sense and your personal safety is of much higher priority then a pet site so I can see why you'd choose to avoid subeta for a bit. I'll be thinking of you and hoping all is well while you are away /hugs

Still no event..I've done so many quests, so I guess the silver lining is I've stocked my shop...

EDIT: Random Event Something appears in front of you, but vanishes before you can really understand what you are seeing. You feel exhausted, though ­ perhaps your eyes were playing tricks on you.

am I getting like grey-ish I can't tell. I didn't see an RE but my HA had that weird pixelated thing earlier, and now I can't tell at all I'm so confused.

If you have either of the moss bgs, those are easy to tell if they've been faded.

I've finished a lot of quests and been clicking around for hours, no event :( do I need to go/do something specific?

I still haven't seen a single one of the new random events. Blah!

I got my re while doing Saggitarius quests on Tuesday, now I'm almost grayscale! Curiouser and curiouser, hope everyone wanting the event will get it :)
