As I live near Leonie (in comparison to you lot) I can confirm those crazy temperatures. At the moment it is about 30 degree celsius in the shadows, which really is a lot for this region of the world. It is only bearable with lots of ice cream :-D

Yarn, tie dye socks sounds like a lot of fun! :D We dyed shirts once with this techniques.

Unfortunately my cat's tissue analysis was not good at all. Now it is wait and hope... Her mom developed a very malign form of cancer and now her daughter has it, too. Only that her mom died of it last winter after just a few months. She was barely 2 years older than her offspring, my cat. That was sad enough, I just hope that everything was removed and that it didn't spread.

HAPPY CANADA DAY ALL YOU CANUCKS!!! Went with my granddaugther to hear some of the local groups playing and walk around a bit but it was so hot, we ended up sitting under the big white shade tent and visiting with people. Then went to my friends house and had a glass of ice water and sat in her covered patio watching a momma and daddy chick-a-dee fly back and forth to their bird house and feed their babies. Couldn't believe they could get in and out of such a tiny hole. My friend collects ornamental bird houses. She never had a bird use one of them before. My granddaugher put her cell phone right up to the hole and snapped a picture. The flash got a good picture of the mama bird. Not sure how many babies are in that tiny house. Might go to the same house tonight and watch the fireworks if I'm still dressed at 10 0'clock. Usually in my p.j.s by then.

So sorry to hear about your kitty Norn. I pray she will be alright and the cancer has all been removed.
