Pinocchio shall win that lawsuit and you know it!

I agree regarding tutorials. though sometimes I have trouble with specific things so I look a few of them up and it helps. roses for example, you have no idea how many times I have try different techiques for roses before I'm happy with the end result.
might just be my program though, I used to love SAI but now I find it limiting, might need to upgrade soon...
omg roses, don't even get me started, I'm so bad at flowers so of course I'm working on something that needs a load of them.
I never got on with SAI P= I know at lot of amazing artists still use it though. But it might not work for what you want? idk
I tried PS and didn't like how complex it was. some people create gems with that but to me it was more of a photo editing tool then a painting program.
SAI is awesome for the bases. the lines are smoother and it's easier to show off the pen's pressure with sai. however past the lineart... the program doesn't support textures well so really you have to be pretty awesome to make it work for you =/
there is a newer version of it though that supports different textures but geared more towards mange artists so not sure I want to invest in it, I mean it's just a hobby for me so I'd rather not get a really expensive program you know :(
Gah flails around I love your art and I know you'd do it awesome and that is soooo damn cheap for something fully rendered in your style but sadly I cannot afford it right now sobs into my wallet
However, I will probably come to you for overlays for Homicide and for B.B. because mech is your jam and I know you'll make it awesome and I 'm so damn bummed I can't afford to have you do this for me right now.
I was up for a new job but didn't get there :(
Oh yeah, Photoshop is crazy huge, it's... it's really good, but you do need to go into it fully prepared to do a lot of trial and error, and to learn how best to use your brushes, and get nice sets P= I'm probably going to get Manga Studio once I can afford it, it's cheaper (for a given level of 'cheap' I believe it's still in the 3 digits), but apparently holds colour better, where as Photoshop colours get muddy quickly. SAI has different brush programming to Photoshop though, and looks far superior, I've been some SAI brushes that are so beautiful, that just wouldn't work on Photoshop at all, though knowing me I'd just them once then go back to my trusty few P=
I know what you mean about the prices, but that said don't down play your hobbies, life isn't all about work and survival =P if you can make a 'fancy art program fund' and add some money to it as and when you can and treat yourself one day, that'd give you time to research what's out there and what might be best for you too.
I understand ^w^ Aw yes =D more mechas please!
Aw I'm sorry =< I wish you luck in the future then.
I've heard alot of good things about that one :D
has alot of the effects in PS but easier to manage.
the one I was eyeing has a similar layout. it's called Clip studio paint. it's a bit older but a few have recommended to me.
right now money is a bit tight so kindda pushing all none essentials aside till things get better. I get discouraged sometimes when I visit art galleries or even when I make the mistake of visiting Devient art. so much awesome @
and not just technique but some have really thought provoking concepts that I just look at my flat art and go =/
I can't really compare the colours in PS, didn't use it long enough to judge but in SAI the colours are vibrant and clean, it's the final layer of textures and effects that are missing... also palates. the program limits you to one palate, I think around 32 colour swatches. so yeah... not enough....
At some point BB will become Steamworks - I'm kinda hoping for them to make a Steam Celinox, but if they don't I'll make her into a Telenine, but I'll definitely need a more feminine overlay for her (the telenine looks super masculine to me, even though I quite like it haha - not that her current color looks any more feminine tbh). And I want to do a more steel toned overlay for homicide, with maybe some worn down rust looks because PDs are always low on funds nods
this is way out of my art league BUT after reading this I could totally see the drop downs/xkit info coming out of filing cabinet drawers and off a calender on a wall or a notebook on a desk. Ahh, wish i could draw that!
SEE YOU SEE WHAT I MEAN -hugs- Its far beyond anything I can do either haha.
