My next door neighbor is RIGHT NOW watching TV, and I can hear it from the hallway, but as soon as I enter my studio? SILENCE.

Been there, done that. xD My friend and I had Family-less Thanksgiving at her apartment one year, and the only piece of furniture she had was an inflatable couch. We ate on paper plates on the floor in front of the fireplace and it was glorious.

Oh I'm so jealous of your soundproofing. They built our building like crap. I can't hear my next door neighbors but the guy below? EVERYTHING. ALL THE THINGS. Ugh. I'd trade you your studio in a freaking heartbeat. :c

NICE that actually sounds like a LOT of fun. Apartment is much nicer now, basically everything is unpacked and boxes are thrown away. :) Having the floor open again makes the place feel a LOT bigger.

It really was a lot of fun. And between you me (and the rest of Subeta) that was the start of Homeless Thanksgiving which is now a yearly tradition. It's really amazing and fun to have a holiday full of food and drinkies and games and movies without family stress. Holy crap cannot recommend it enough.

Although...yeah, furniture helps. xD Yay, glad you're unpacked now! It's nice when it starts feeling like home.

For being in Vegas for 4 days, bringing back money is a good thing. But, yeah, when you're cold, you're cold, same goes with hot! Let's say I was lukewarm. LOL.

Job, I got a retirement package in October, was on a nice vacation for 6 months. Asked about coming back to old job through a third party provider, and that set the process of me getting a job at my old law firm through an "agency" type company. Should be starting back maybe next week (we'll see). Which is good because I need that paycheck.
