Working on having my HA ready, looking forwards to this holiday all the goodies from both shops and hoping for some new masks (specially ones you can hold and leave on you head, like you just pushed it up off your face xD would be cool)

This is going to be my very first Masquerade. I really don't know what to expect. Can some of you veterans share some stories about your experiences? ;)

If it is just a typical Masquerade with no plot, it's pretty simple. You'll be able to ask other users to dance on the forums, the same way you were able to kiss them during Survival, but instead the other party will have to accept/deny your dance. Both you and your dancing partner need to be wearing masks to dance. If they accept (and there's no reason why they shouldn't), you'll both either get a handful of Lounge Trinkets or Steamwork Trinkets! The trinkets are used to buy things in the Libertine Lounge or the Steamwork Menagerie. The Lounge has all food items, while the Steamwork Menagerie has things like wearables, books, minions, etc. If you're not into food items, you can use your Lounge Trinkets to buy bags of Steamwork Trinkets.

Thank you :) It does sound pretty simple. But if it's that similar to Survival it seems like it would put my patience and persistence to the test. I hope there's a plot to really make things interesting :)

If there isn't a plot for Masquerade, then there'll probably be one over the summer. They tend to not do full blown plots for every holiday, or else the artists would get burned out pretty easily. There's a good chance there will be one for Masquerade, but not 100%

I know Masquerade has already had 2 plots, so I don't have my hopes up much. And we did just have one for Halloween. But I'd still like to do something other than grinding on such a special occasion.

That's understandable. :) Well, I hope there is one anyway!

Tbh I hope there won't be a plot this year. Masquerade is my favorite Subeta holiday but I have work so I won't be able to enjoy it as much as I would like to anyway and a plot would make it even more saddening for me. XD

I want the dancing to start soon (by Fri) because right now I am in the middle of a one week long spring break.

Plot or not, I'm happy everytime Masquerade starts. It's one of my fav holiday with Morostide and Survival and .. yeah I can't pick (Moro is my fav tho).

I won't even need to dance with all the trinkets hoarded. If it starts next week, I will be able to dance. Otherwise, I will get some dancing in between.

But of course I'll dance with you ;)

Masquerade doesn't usually start till the 19th so we have a little over a week left to wait but that gives everyone time to prepare outfits and if you are a newcomer and want a taste of what the items are like I believe you can still browse the steamworks menagerie and libertine lounge shops so that will at least give you a chance to put some things on your wishlist from previous years :)

I love masquerade,It's always so much fun to see the outfits people come up with. I have seen some amazing ones over the years that I have been participating and I am positive this year will be no exception to that.

I'm super excited for Masq (always am). It's my favorite event on the site. <3 I've had outfits in the works since last March to be honest. XD But, I'm sure I'll change nearly every day. I have too many pretty masks to not try to wear them all! :D
