There were some truly beautiful face items in the CW contest that did not make the cut due to insufficient votes. Can these items be released via ts/rb/bhh shops? (reasoning : eyes and lips are not allowed as CWs and all the contest items made the site art quality cut)

Then they would be official site items, just like the contest winners, but with none of the prizes?

i wanted the muse and bunny and those 2 recolors . I dont want subeta to add eyes and lips to CWs, most CWs nowadays triumph official items by miles imho. Giving that particular freedom to CW is too much.

I have to face it, unless the items are tiny pouty lips or overloaded eyes, my chances are very slim.

And I still don't mind them not allowing us CW artists to upload face items outside of contests.

Better yet put all the non winning items as r160 quinten rewards! i liked that grin!

I thought the Extracted Teeth was you! I absolutely loved that item and was desperately hoping it made it in -- I can never get enough makeup-free goofy grins.

I would definitely love if we could get these items somehow -- I voted for a ton of them and I bet a lot of others did too.

(But yes, I recognize that then some people get prizes and some don't, so it's not likely to happen. BUT I CAN DREAM OK)

I don't understand how letting people submit eyes and lips is too much, but cws that alter the base in huge ways (animal butts, etc) isn't? like, they're just.. lips and eyes. idg why they're the only things that can't be submitted as CWs.

I can't see the logic in not allowing CW eyes and lips. Maybe it's time there was a rethink about this.

I would love if they were grandfathered in and released as a mini pack/trunk, even if it was in the Cash Shop (but as official items). I'm sure Subeta would earn a fair bit, and it's still something that happens once in a lifetime (more like, twice a year? yeah).

That would cut down on the amount of items that gets resubmitted to different contests, would cut down on the amount of requests for them to be added as CWs (presuming this is something staff doesn't want to do) and would generally make people happy as they would still be more affordable and more widely available than CWs.

Other venues would be ok, but please no BHH though.

Or in the Millionaire Center, which would be more of an sP sink! I mean honestly if you popped that freaking Sanquine Lip Stain into the MC I would buy it IMMEDIATELY no matter the cost. Too many of those makeup items were too pretty to not have made it, or at least to not get their own category.

I do hope that for the next contest maybe the lips/eyes are their own separate category and like at least 1-2 are released. For Peka-Boo there were five face items released and even if that wasn't on purpose, and that's just how things worked out, I liked the outcome. I'd like to see it again.

Yeah, the MC would work just as fine, in case staff needs/wants more SP sinks ^-^

The CW rules should be changed. That's fairer, because I don't want eyes that didn't make the cut to be in the MC, but have to pay 700 CSC for a dress or a wig who didn't make it.

But I get the reasoning behind the price difference. For all that I care, if at least those specific items were allowed to be submitted as CWs (since we already know they're conforming to the rules, so no more paid staff time is needed) it would be already great!

The grin was one of my favourites; the moment as I saw it, I had 10,000 different ideas. Pity that I basically knew who was going to win as soon as I started voting (ie, nothing I liked).

People entered the contest to win specific prizes. While I too wish there were others that had won, we shouldn't ask or expect staff to change the contest after the fact to make these official items.

What needs to happen is staff needs to start using the same set of rules and guidelines for contests as they do for day-to-day CW submissions. If staff can approve a face item for a contest they can and should approve one via the regular CW system

Are the submitters of the facial items okay with not getting any prizes (other than a copy of the item I guess) if they were added to the site in some other way?

I'm not sure why facial items are not allowed for CWs, especially since makeup are. Is it to make official facial items more "special"? Are they harder to judge for quality 'cause they're too small?

Maybe as a compromise if none of the above-mentioned things can be done, staff can release some similar official items? (though I'm gonna miss those awesome animated CIs.....)

Yeah, no thanks. Certain people shouldn't get 2k CSC + 50m + other prizes because they got a few more votes than the next item that's still going to make it on site.

Change the CW rules instead.

Why? It would make the site a shit ton more money, and we would actually have usable lips/eyes. It's a win-win.

Please don't hold this to me but I think I remember a reason given for not allowing CW eyes. They may not line up and work with any released make-up/masks. Don't the eye make-up CWs already have to fit the default eyes? Granted, I know there are official eyes that don't work with make-up but I think this was before we started getting those wonky eyes.

And also, too much freedom. Have to have a limit somewhere on the CWs. (I think facial items were just getting to be a hot commodity on here at that time.)

Besides, unlike wigs or clothing I can see lips and eyes having a small design limit before we get into cries of so-and-so/staff copied a "private" eyes/lips!

I'm still one who thinks that when CWs were introduced they all should have went into the CS full stop. Make all CWs official CS items. None of this giving the power to users to limit items instead of being where we are now.
