So hot here. Was insomniac so went to hardware store at 6am to get some new canetips and was sweating all the way there and home again. My new neighbor chose today of all days to build a fence.

Hey guys...this is kind of off-topic, but does anyone have any good remedies for sunburns/tan lines? I spent too much time in the sun and the resulting burn lines are pretty bad. :/

Are you talking about pain or just the visual effects?

Try the German cream they use for little ones called penaten,it's a medicated cream for burns...it stays right where you put it on too...used for diaper rash too so it is good for those of us who are sensitive to the creams we use... Thank you all for the nice comments :)

This is going to sound strange, but put a little vinegar on the burn. Believe it or not, it kills the pain.

: Dermaplast is wonderful for helping the pain ( its a spray, think post delivery ) Hawaiian Tropics Aloe Vera ( green gel ) helps with soothing and is more natural. Avoid witch hazel and anything with alcohol.
Zinc Oxide cream if it's real bad. ( proven to make burns heal faster...think Desitin diaper cream. )

Sunburn is thermal damage. If it's bad enough, there will be blisters and pealing. So sorry that you got burned, I hope it gets feeling better soon.

Hey! I got a new left arm! I'm giving my old 8 year old left arm a rest. I wish I could get a right arm, then I could show everybody my natural position for when I'm talking to all my children ( that most certainly includes by biggest child...Weldon. )

try to find a product that's nearly 100 percent aloe vera. This is a challenge since they want very hard to sell you perfume, colorants, and crap. All of these can be irritants. They'll do this even at a health food store.

Vitamin E oil (try to find it in a small vial as oil, not in capsules to swallow. If all you can find is pills it's a pain to pierce them with a pin) This can provide better healing and a barrier against clothes if you need to wear some, but doesn't soothe like aloe vera. Wait for the aloe to dry.

There was a small wildfire nearby but there's no wind at all so the sky looks like My Little Pony Friendship is Magic when the princesses are occupied. The sun was red.
