The past couple days I've been feeling the tendrils of depression reaching up to drag me down. And this morning, with the news of yet another set of victims of police violence, and the police victims in Dallas, I've just been lost all day. I am constantly gripped with fear at the state of the world and what it means for my child's future. I find myself hoping my son 'looks white enough' to not be bothered by prejudiced people, especially prejudiced officers. And I HATE that I have that thought cross my mind at all. It feels disgusting that I should have to hope people won't see him for who he is. And it sickens me that there are mothers out there who don't have that luxury and simply have to constantly fear for the lives of their children, not just minorities in America, but families in abusive situations, war torn countries, and dangerous neighborhoods all over the world. It just feels like some terrible story or movie, the twilight zone. This cannot be reality. I want to go back to running through flowery fields, building forts, going swimming, going sledding, and not realizing the world was out there. My personal issues in childhood were bad enough, but I could run away from them in nature away from people. I can't take this adult crap where I have to actually know what the world is and try to figure out how to prepare my son for it without ruining his childhood. How do we keep our kids happy but not completely oblivious/naive???? sigh Anyway, there's my feelings vent for the day.... hugsall

Congrats on the T-Shirt and the achievement! Yesterday was crapty - got up and turned on the computer only to have my monitor die on me so had to order a new one - miserable day without a computer and am so happy to have my new one except that it is wide and not tall like I'm used to.

Well, I finished the last tier. Now I'm done with this game unless I decide to try for 25,000 someday.

I think it has to do with your monitor settings...my new HP is set to 1920 x 1080 and everything looks good on Subeta.

Yes, you're right and I can't change the setting because it won't recognize my refurbished computer as being Dell and for some reason my monitor doesn't register as being Dell so I can't update the drivers listed out there. And when for fits and giggles I tried to manually adjust it and that was rejected. So must just learn to deal, sigh.

I train all 30 of my pets, and read them all books so they can cast spells in battle too. You aren't the only loony . It's easier to do this here on Subeta, over there I only have one battlepet. Training here is cheaper and direct in that it doesn't require an intermediary to 'find' the right currency you need, that you then have to buy from them.

How smart and how fast your pet is don't much matter there, but these stats make a difference here.

I don't see neopets as having gone downhill. Subeta just happens to be more awesome and fun and gets better all the time, so noepets pales by comparison.

I wish I knew how to put a copy of the wonderful saying and gifts anon sent me. Its the same message and what a perfect saying it is and the gifts were Blushing Camellia Tea Strands and Black Chess Bishop. It was so very generous and so very sweet. I started crying but it was happy tears. I have tried so hard to be upbeat this last week or so but it has been a terrible time and this made me smile by what it said and of course the gifts are just astoundingly sweet and I want to say thanks so very much to anon. I wish I could hug you in real life but since I dont know who you are or where you are except that you are one of the sweetest and kindess people I will give you a Great big bear hug here. Im so sorry that this world has gotten us all down and scared for our children. I just keep praying that things will get better and we can all live together in love and friendship. What an amazing world this would be.

I hope my oldest one starts working on her driving license. I sat up til 4 this morning (which was the time she told me she was home and there's no need for me to come and get her. It's 7 now, so only three hours of sleep and I am so tired XD
