Geez Louise! Some people! My kids think I'm silly to worry about them every time they walk out the door but you and I know that random things like this happen all the time. Kids aren't even safe in the schools any more. I'm so glad that it all turned out pretty well. Your son did a commendable job of controlling the situation.

OMG hun it scares me how mean and evil some people are in this world. I am sorry for what happened to Timmy and to Jenna. It makes me feel good cause your son is a highly decorated marine who helped this country be safe. Shame on this country for not appreciating what our men and women did to protect us and then these sorry people here do such mean and aweful things when they should be happy they are alive thanks to people like your son who protected us. Oh my good god Mama Bear ~ so glad your son and his wife were not badly injured. Trash isn't even a descriptive enough word for such lowlife sewer dwellers. What has happened to the days (no pun intended) when people went to any kind of celebration just to have fun and actually be civil to the strangers that they meet? Hope your blood pressure is back to normal and your son and his little diva get past this horrid episode.

That is absolute horrific. And your son handled himself like our military do, which always amaze me. With class and dignity. We encourage them to be aggressive but when some jerk, who they've fought for, comes for them, they step back. It amazes me and pisses me off. Like many others are saying, you raised a wonderful son and I'm very proud of him and his diva. It's awesome how she kicked the twit's butt! I'm glad the crazies didn't get away with their behavior and were arrested. I hope there are no lasting problems from the incident, and I hope they will be able to enjoy the 'Days' next year. Even if the music is awful. Give them a hug or two and try not the freak out too much with them!

It was so hot today...110 in the shade and I was desperate for something cool to eat and Welly was sick today with a cough...so I had to make dinner....

OK OK!! I cooked something! OMG I really cooked something in the kitchen! I will tell you all about it...

I made a smoothy!

I took a very ripe banana and some berries that I picked down by the creek on our property and I mashed them up with some honey, and then added it all to some yogurt. I shaved some ice with a cheese grater and stirred that into the mix until it was really frosty and thick and poured it into a couple of mugs for Welly and me. It was so sweet and cold and I COOKED IT ALL BY MYSELF! I am so pumped!
