...I see many of you have talked about snow. Yes, that wonderful white that eludes me at the moment. Instead, being replaced with constant heavy rain since yesterday. I did dream of a white Christmas, now I just dream of having white at all this winter. listening to the pitter patter of rain

As far as the trees go, it sounded to me like there are some that were able to get their trees, but were double gifted, and many that were not able to get tree gifts. That might explain why some people are sending their thanks. If anyone has been able to get under their trees and open gifts, mind mentioning it here?

Maddison is not able to beat the Unstable Snow Faerie yet. She's a little frustrated...

The Unstable Snow Fairy totally creamed poor Whisper.

: The Unstable Snow Faerie is supposed to be a level 11 combatant, but Maddy is only a novice level 11 and she just doesn't have the stamina yet to subdue this one. That and she doesn't have a lot of weapon choices, her most powerful weapons throw a lot of water, ice and wind icons, and the Faerie blocks those. Apparently, you cannot steal from her, so Truth Serum is a waste, she also cannot be 'chain frozen' with multiple freezers like Psycho Smasher or Shrieks of Despair scrolls as she is able to resist those also.

I'm hoping that could offer some help or insight on how to get around the Unstable Snow Faerie.

And I'm hoping that both Madison and Whisper can eventually get their 5 and 10 wins soon.

Whisper is level 11 also. I know diddly squat about weapons. BTW, what do you get with 10 wins? I know you get goodies with 5.

: I'm not too sure, I know that you get a lot of experience points, but I thought that there was a weapon drop or a Tome of some kind, I'm really not too sure. For Madison it's a source of pride, chibi pherrets are very prideful, it's their one ingratiating characteristic.

I usually stop at 5, after the drop. Ingratiating? You sure that's the right word?

I haven't seen a link to the tree either. I thought they said tomorrow? That's why all the quests are weekend quests? Something like that. I couldn't even FIND that challenger. :P

what does it say? I have the event tab open but nothing that says tree or luminaire or stocking (?)

Um, I was talking about fighting the Unbalanced Fairy...

I got a notice about her, but didn't find her in my challengers. Oh well. I miss a LOT here anyway. But I still love it.

The new challenger is under the events tab, where it says Normal, Secret, Cash Shop and Events .... and she is very strong. Here is a link:

I did make a guide for her some time back. However, do note that she was buffed recently and these are a few notes I have taken regarding changes made to her:

: Perhaps ingratiating is not exactly the most correct word. Except at times, Maddy uses her pride in her accomplishments as a way to garner favor. I used the word ingratiating as a pejorative. e.g.. "I am so awesome..I have slaughtered all those horrible beasts for you...can I please have a cookie now?" She is the sweetest little thing ever and I wouldn't know what to do without her, but when she falls back on this behavior, we usually have to 'have a conversation'.

, Thanks dear friend for your advice. I can see that with her strength Madison will not be able to wield a weapon strong enough for her to be able to outlast the Unstable Snow Faerie. Maddy is still pretty low on the Their 11 scale and poops out pretty fast against the impossible and extremely hard combatants. The USF seems to block a lot of freezing / stealing too, I observed that the truth serum or Blaster didn't return any weapons. The Recycle blaster disabled one weapon, too bad you cannot equip two of those. Psycho Smashers and SOD scrolls were virtually worthless.

Heheh, I think I understand now.

There is really only the first turn to use psycho smasher or shriek of despair. Once she gets that snowflake icon under her, you can no longer freeze her.

What weapons work against her?

I went back to s blog to make a plan of attack I see he posted already and did my best by using an Ice and Wind blockers. She's not an easy win but I did manage to beat her with Involution and the Lady. Both are tier 12 I should also mention.
