is a reference to the Pirates of the Caribbean c: Aladdin / Robin Williams reference
[edit] is a Sexy and I Know It reference (by LMFAO)
pinging you because this is more of a meme, although it is technically a song is a reference to the 'anyway, here's wonderwall' meme is a reference to South Park
is a reference to Nikola Tesla
I went back to check what I had posted in the old thread and these are also a couple from there. I'm too lame to look through the past few pages but I might eventually n.n;;
Mary and I agreed to leave the Genie as Robin's tribute item. Robin did more than just Aladdin, though it is his one of his most well-known roles. But the timing of the item's release makes it a tribute.
The Glee items would be Seerow's department as well. ^^
Thank you for those finds, I'll update my sections accordingly!
Thank you! somehow I missed that one.

Thanks for the ping! As Metroid said, we decided since it was released as a Robin Williams tribute, we are going to put it there. As for the jar of dirt, I actually already have it under Pirates of the Caribbean under the Disney section! When we were reorganizing the thread, we decided that the Disney should include live action in addition to the animated films. :)
lol well I guess that'll make me double check things before I post now. :P
Please help us with this item haha!

Gosh, I've got too many old events clogging the sidebar, sorry about that! If you want to mark it down as a reference, you can! I'd planned to do the mountaineer set as a reference to Mt. Everest and Sherpa in general anyway, but my brother WAS playing a lot of Far Cry around that time and I would be lying if I said I wasn't encouraged to do it after watching him play, haha.
no problem! We've got a lot of items on the site, so we're bound to miss a few here and there. ^^

I didn't happen to see these Animal Crossing tributes under the Games section ^_^
Pinging for the post above, since it's her section! :)
Huh, I thought I added the Green Mile to the books section already... The Green Mile is a movie, yes, but it is actually based off of the Steven King novel of the same name, so I am going to defer to for that one. Added the Steeko, though!
Metroid, The Green Mile
Updated! Thanks so much.
Just a heads up, Planet of the Apes is now part of our Entertainment Franchises section, as it spans over books, movies, and television.
Lemme check the timing of the item's release. I think it was meant as a tribute to Michael Clarke Duncan (whose best known role was The Green Mile)
[edit]It's a tribute item to him. Item was released as a free gift on Sept. 19th, 2012, about a week after his death.
