Yes, anesthesia is tough. I had my tonsils out when I was about 13 and all I remember about waking up is having to throw up (sorry to be so gross). I had a really tough time with that, but luckily my dad was ok with the anesthesia. I hope your ankle is better now.

from what I have read it seems that tattoos are generally associated with the yakuza still. the yakuza is the Japanese mafia. I don't really know if there are any other reasons for that though.

a friend of mine is from Spain and she currently lives in Japan. I don't think I've ever heard her talk about any racists experiences but like I said I don't know.

It's good! I remember not eating for a day or two and took me about a week to eat normal again because of so many medications and the anesthesia was really mean to me! Your dad must be a strong man or got a better anesthesiologist than we did. I can see how a wrong amount of anesthesia can kill someone :s

Racism is lower on touristic places so would make sense if you didn't experience that. I don't think they'd see my tats and think I am yakuza XD Unless I get a surgery to make my eyes look like I'm japanese.... which would be great because my favorite eyes ever!

a friend of mine had a small tattoo on her ankle and she needed to use a bandage to cover it up when going to an onsen. it does say that you are not allowed to go there if you have any tattoos but I think if they are small/you can cover them up, that's ok. also, if it's a private one for your own room for example no one will notice :P

My tats are kind of big and on my forearms (the ones that can be seen at least) so yeah..... I think that if I ever go I'll remember to use long sleeves and ask for a private place :3 <3

Not as many as I'd like. In a perfect world where I have the money to spend, I'd like to sleeve both my arms. I love tattoos >.< I have 6, technically 7, but one covers another. Abdomen x2, arm x2, upper back and lower back. I don't love all of mine but they kinda are just there and I'll either cover or alter to get everything exactly right. I actually like the process of being tattooed, it's a fun kinda rush/pain and I don't mind it. eee. i'm weird. lol.

I love sleeves as well! if I wouldn't be so scared of the pain and everything I'd totally get one. like if I knew it would be gone within say a year or so: I'd be there! I think you are the first person I know who actually loves the tattooing part :P a few weeks ago I did some research on tattoo coverups and things like that and there are some awesome ones out there. so I guess even if you aren't happy with what you have got that's always a good option as well.

We don't have Wii U, we both have the regular Wii, though i am considering getting him a controller with the vibration feature so he can play better some games (forgot the name of the feature).

the Wii is great too! we have that as well as the PS3 and the Vita. (can you tell we are a bit obsessed) I don't know which controllers you are talking about but I'm not that into the hardware part of things :X what do you guys play together?

It's an acquired feeling. I mean, it doesn't feel good - but mixed with the sound of the tattooing machine and what the tattoo actually feels like..it's like..I don't know..it becomes familar in a way? It's cool, it's an art, I appreciate that and it's awesome to walk away with this...thing on you. lol. I also got my first tattoo VERY young so it's been something that I've done literally most my life.

We haven't really played together, but the game we love to play is the Tetris Attack SNES game through the emulator on his laptop! Most of the games we play are 1-player only so it's kinda hard to share with, plus most of the games he has, either Wii or X-Box 360 are 1-player games lol

We love RPGs so much, and he's the biggest fan of Dragon Age ever... besides probably XD

yeah, I think that's what it's called! Tetris Attacks sounds really cool! also as far as RPGs are concerned if he likes JRPGs there are the "Tales of" games that are multiplayer :)
