Awe, thank you! I grew up hating it -- having a unique name like that opens you up to terror on the first day of school (and my last name is impossible to pronounce. A pause on the roster? I would just raise my hand, ahahaha). I love it now, though. :D

My name didn't work too well for me as a kid either. I got constant alcoholic and/or Brandy/Monica "The Boy is Mine" song references. Very annoying. haha. My last name used to be a doozy too, no one ever said it right, half the time my grandmother didn't even say it right because it was just easier to pronounce it wrong for everyone involved. :P
AHAHAHA. I remember when that song came out. Man, kids are jerks. In elementary school I was called 'Kleenex' or 'Chlorox.' Like, what? We don't even pronounce our last name properly... it is hard enough with a bastardized-American pronunciation - Swedish would NOT work. :P
English is so terrible, as a native English speaker with no one speaking any other languages growing up - it's still absolutely awful. haha. I feel so bad for my kids, they have speech delays (well older DID not anymore and little does) and I'm like...I don't blame ya kid, I know it makes no sense that these words are pronounced this way. xD
Yea, I honestly have so much respect for people that learn English as a second (or third) language! I have a hispanic friend who taught herself English by reading as a child. BY READING. She is 31 and still says some words the way they are written though... like salmon. It is so cute. :P
English made a little more sense when I started learning other languages... I almost feel like the rules and structures of many other languages make so much more sense. Annoying as it is to have to decline nouns and adjectives, lol.
It's so so hard, and so...what's the word, inconsistent? My husband learned English as a child, native Spanish speaker (or a form of Spanish because lets be real not all spanish is Spanish lol), and he said it's just an impossible language to even make sense of. He can easily understand French, Italian, even some other less common languages just by knowing Spanish, whereas knowing English gets you a lot of confusion. Two, too, to, has my kid going crazy right now :P
Yea, which is no wonder so many English speakers get the homonyms wrong!
And sorry, I am currently grinding my dragons in the coliseum on Flight Rising for holiday currency. LOL. Can't get myself to do anything on Subeta but chat... yet I will grind all day on a site I don't actively play as much. Logic. :P
