Str bonus from jobs junk from Shinwa 4 amulets - 4 shards. I think the Mage has run out of tomes from having to give them out to everyone who has beaten Nightlady.

So I've been thinking about this for a while, and I can't sleep this morning, so I've decided to finally ask.

Now, I am no where near this place, but what happens when you don't have a lot of books to read anymore? Since you can boost int with, you know, boosters, but you don't get the alchemy point until you've read sixteen books and earn your point THAT way, what happens when books start getting too expensive?

I mean, like I said, I am no where near that point (Pacifist has read about seven hundred books) and I've already taken to hoarding books so I can try to boost int as much as possible first. Does this question even make sense? Should I just ... make a topic for it?

Generally speaking, unless you are aiming for book HST it isn't a problem since new books are released all the times, eg. rotating MC, CS items, etc. They're not the cheapest books out there, but it shouldn't be an issue of running out of books.

Some users like to keep a few hoarded to be on the safe side, I have some of my more expensive books put aside (eg. say 5m+), they're not exactly books worth reading for the intel but I know theyre there if I need AP or sP :)

Thanks for the explanation. How many alchemy points have you got? Pacifist is a bit over sixty right now, at t11.

Haha I feel so bad because I know I should only be comparing Pacifist against herself, and seeing where she IS versus where she WAS (seven wins against Nightlady!!!) but I still like to know what the "average" is to see if I'm neglecting her...

rawrsaur has 153 at T13, I think that can be considered low by many battlers? I'm not a big booster, and 90% of my battles don't last long enough for me to use more than a few scrolls, so I'm not super fussed about it.

I don't have a lot of OPB scrolls that eat up my AP, I think how much AP you need is relevant to how many scrolls you can afford somewhat :P

I really only started boosting in the past few months or so, but I think I'm probably with you, I either destroy the super easy challengers, or I get my ass handed to me by the big guys, so I guess there are only a few that I use scrolls a lot. I'm just so INTERESTED in them and I want to try them out more.

Maybe I'll start using books at the end of the month when I use all of my boosters.

I've done pretty ok with my intel/scrolls, I do have higher STR and lower HP/speed than most people. but the only challengeres I haven't yet got all 10 wins are:

Mutant Scientist (6 wins) Paramnesia Recycle Beast (Haven't bothered) Baenwurath (Haven't bothered)

There's one or two imposs I might have missed out on unlocking when I was busy, critho thingy?? not sure if there's anything else, if that helps you in any way haha

I'm pretty lazy with challengers, I like to get all 10 wins at once instead of chipping away at them :P Otherwise each time I have to remember their quirks x'D

My issue, if I can't win all ten fights at once, is I don't remember where I left off lol And I'm usually too lazy for TWO WHOLE EXTRA CLICKS to go to my statistics xD

Looking at these, there are probably a few that only have like one win, that I could ... probably take on a little more now. I should keep a list on my laptop.

I use MrCool's battle guide SO MUCH. It's bookmarked for easy reference. I love that he made that blog, and I love that he's kind of sort of back on Subeta and making new posts again lol FORGET THE REAL WORLD AND YOUR FAMILY. I NEED YOUR BATTLE ADVICE!!!!

Haha, I've heard his guide is great but I'm a really visual person so it's a little text-y for me. I usually go by trial and error :P

TBH 98% of my battles I just go in with my default set and hope for the best, and mostly it's been ok :P

Oh man, me too, me too. But my default set is just ... really basic I think??? So the guide is super helpful when my default doesn't work, or when I'm trying out a new challenger, I like to kind of read what to expect. If freezing or stealing is disabled, then I can take those out of my set and go for a back up attacker or something. It's good for that.

My pet boxy has 3609 intel and 224 AP. I've been a member for 9 years and got books from CS and tried my hardest to get the books from past events (there are a few that I didn't get). I've only had one pet for that all that time until recently an I know my new pet won't have the intel & AP that boxy does (unless they bring back old books & put them in the antique shop).

I'm like you guys, I have a tendency to barrel through a battle with trial an error & hope for the best. After all this time, I still don't understand the whole icon thing & trying to figure the math and what to do. lol

Yeah, I've been on for eons, too, but I've only just recently gotten in to battling and trying to improve my pet. I'm sad because I know I had some medium rare/expensive books in the past, but I've donated them to past reading drives. I'm really looking forward to finishing my hoard - which is my current goal - so I can get all of those books to Pacifist.

Yep, those reading drives were hard. I donated books I wish I could get back, oh well. I never thought I would get another pet, but boxy reached T13 finally. I can't imagine having a lot of pets and reading books to them all.

I'm opposite of you - I was obsessed with pets for the first few years I joined, but now I'd much rather focus on a smaller handful. I might end up adopting out buuuuut idk idk I'm honestly struggling with training three pets right now lol Maybe when Pacifist gets to t13 it'll be easier to train the others. As it is, I'm still reading all of the bonus books I get from quests and stuff to all of my pets. I've already got like ... Two or three books that have been read to all 27 of my pets.

I have a prodigy staff and other weapons that heal but they don't block the icons I need =(

My pet is tier 10 and has 74 AP. I think my scrolls are good, maybe I can swap out cobalt with gelaspell, but I think my main issue is none of my weapons that protect against dark, earth, and physical heal. well my minotaur knocker does but I think that would be a downgrade from my malerias ss. I'll give that a try

Joins the club. I've been on 7 years and for the past 3 to 4 years have been more diligent in battling and boosting my pet. My intel comes from mostly books. I currently have 161 alchemy points. I've only just started gaining intel because in the beginning I thought I got AP from reading books, didn't realize that intel boosters helped you get to 16 faster for a LONG time, didn't quite sink in, in the beginning. lol. Starting to get my second pet up in tiers and will see what happens this time next year. Not sure how many AP I can get for her, but I'll try my best.
