Yeah, I don't know if I will be able to do it but I will keep at it! :) using 5 freezers atm and I don't think any more will be beneficial. Maybe I could take a cobalt and sanct out and use one more actually, but I will probably give up soon and sleep

I understand the concerns about capped pets with EXP just hitting the new cap instantly. I agree that it would defeat the purpose of a raise in the first place. But please please please do not wipe our EXP with no option to spend it in some way. There is nothing fair about that.

My pet has accumulated 2.4m EXP. That is equal to 1600 health. Based on the average booster prices for the last year, conservatively, that is 640m sP that is being thrown down the drain. I know there are other people with much higher EXP hoards than that.

Is there a reason we couldn't spend it on intelligence? It would not affect pets hitting the cap. You could make the exchange rate 10k EXP for 1 int. It's a ridiculous rate to pay but it would be something that makes me feel like doing ~2-3 months worth of BQs wasn't for nothing.

About Prodigy being much easier if you time your freezes carefully, I actually mentioned that in my Tumblr guide for him.

I also don't use blasters, and don't have RotL

I used my freezing scrolls after I did my 100% freeze, then freezing rapier + RV and rapier + STS for extra freezes, usually put my glaciating with the sts. and I throw a mercurial around 10k hp left. the rest is down to if my scrolls work, crits, and other luck based things.

I am very surprised I could do this, borrowed 3 freezing scrolls in total, but I am very happy.

Truth be told, when I went to copy and paste that, I actually forgot how wordy my guides sometimes are. Prodigy was definitely one that I have spent so much effort into figuring out how to beat that I could ramble on for quite a bit.

I feel like I did more damage to him at the beginning when I wasn't freezing him than I do at the end not freezing him. Does he throw up more defenses or crit more when his hp hits a certain point?

A lot of the time, I feel like I can figure out opponents myself. I haven't battled an opponent where it was advantageous to not freeze him the very first turn. So this was a learning experience for me actually. Even if I read that guide, I would not have believed it =P

I almost beat him earlier because of a 7k crit or so, but he had like 120hp and crit me.

No challenger has any health milestone trigger effect (so that thing that happens with countless video game bosses where they get stronger at low health doesn't apply to Subeta challengers), but Prodigy's molecular storms do generate quarks, which full block everything. So with that, in a way, he does become harder to damage as the fight goes on. However, it really comes down to how many times he uses molecular storm.

Ah, I didn't know that about the molecular storms. Longer battles give him the advantage really, so if you damage him early and he doesn't use molecular storm, he'll be easier to finish off? That makes complete sense actually.

Blasting molecular storm is especially a godsend. I personally use one freezing scroll first turn and then proceed to use a blaster and rapier of error (or a second blaster, depending on which win I am on).

I just rather do damage than relying on the rng to blast the right thing. Though I wouldn't mind getting a soma if they are ever released again. I know certain challengers are almost exponentially easier if you blast something though, like deadroot I think?

Some definitely are. Sophie is much easier, seemingly regardless of what you blast. Blasting both of Deadroot's rejuvenating roots actually makes him beatable by a tier 10.

I don't have Sophie. :( so I don't know about her.

I could hardly ever blast one of those roots. lame things XD I got my five wins against that leafy sea dragon and called it good.

(John) I never did say it was easy to blast the roots (though I think I got my first 2 or 3 wins without actually trying to blast both roots). Most of those losses were actually forfeits if I didn't blast both roots.

You definitely should try to go for more. Tainted Skelly staff (or OHS, such as was my case)+blessed trident/swashbuckle should prove to be extremely effective.

this was after the plot so I had the skelly staff and trident at the time right? now I upgraded to swash though (you see I completed IH the other day? :D) trident can sit in my armory for my other pets to eventually use now =P

tomorrow I will, I will also fight the middle forj some more tomorrow on my other pets and max out their wins if possible =) going to bed now though.
